I’ve been to pops a few times in the past and it was so-so. My father and I decided we were going to give Pop’s another try. We came in a little late in the afternoon and missed the buffet. Fine fine, we should have known, that is our fault. The pizza came out hot and looked good. It was a thin crust pizza and the crust wasn’t crunchy at all, it was really soft. The pizza was really bland and a little under cooked. Which, while made me unhappy was not end of the world. So you maybe wondering«why only one star?» Well, while I was eating my pizza I seen a roach walking up the wall near the salad bar. Again, the place has ROACHES. I’m sorry, for me though I can’t return to an eating establishment that has roaches, especially when the food and service isn’t the greatest to begin with.

I travel to Quincy fairly often. I have been to Pops a couple times before and always sat in the front and never had a bad time. Let me state, «This will be the last time I ever eat here again» I came in today during lunch and sat down right in front of the buffet line. I was at first shocked to see the over abundant amount of food for the time and amount of people inside. As I got my slices from the buffet, made my salad and got my drink I sat down and began to eat. After eating my second slice of pizza, I looked around from the tables view could see what looked to be a kitchen. I then realized how unprofessional, unclean, and quite honestly how unbelievable this place is. I see 2 men in the kitchen(Which was filthy from view) one was wiping sweat off of his face with his bare hands and not wash, and the other was texting on his phone and carrying a pack of cigarettes that he just came inside from smoking. Both men wearing what appears to be filthy jeans, untucked t shirts that had food all over them as if they had wiped it on themselves while preparing the food. No aprons, Gloves, or hairnets. Then to my surprise the man who wiped the sweat from his face grabbed raw chicken strips from a bag and put them on a sheet pan into the oven. As I sit here amazed I realize that the two men realize I am watching them and they don’t even wash their hands, One guy goes and gets a white bar towel and rubs it all over his hands. I tell myself I am not eating anymore of this but want to watch what is going on. I see a 3rd man who appears to be a dish tank worker who was actually presentable and I viewed him washing his hands 4 times in 15 minutes. Glad to see one of the employees doing it right. As I decide to leave, I go get a refill and see a large handwritten note in the kitchen entrance that threatens to fire anyone who scoops ice with their cup as it is against health code. Wow, I go to pay and the waitress was nice but mentioned that she was the only one there and everyone wanted to pay at once. I felt sorry for her. As I left I was talking to a gentlemen outside that asked me how my food was, I assumed he worked there but said he was coming from a medical office to get some food. He informed me that the gentlemen that I saw wipe his sweat off his head was either the General Manager, owner, or both. I have been in the foodservice industry a long time and have seen some good, bad, and ugly kitchens but this has been one of the worst so far. This really needs to looked at from a health and business perspective. Overall the food tasted good, but this is one bad germ from making someone really sick. To whom ever reads this, please understand I am not trying to bash this location for no reason I am trying to save someone from getting sick. To the owner of this establishment, you have a good reputation but need to stop and look around your place. It is filthy, ask you distributor rep for advice on how to clean it up. You have a Top Performing Food Distributor right down the street in Quincy that has experts in this. The help is there just ask them.

Delicious pizza & nice atmosphere. Cool building, menu is filled with appetizers, pizza, pasta & sandwiches. We went with the pops tots which where a tater round that was not greasy, instead I believe it was cooked on a flat top grill maybe? The cheese dip it’s served with was a white cheese sauce. Tasted much better than they looked. The pizza was the bacon cheeseburger pizza. Tasted just like eating a cheeseburger. Ketchup & mustard for sauce, hamburger, bacon, dill pickles & cheddar cheese as well as mozzarella. We got the pan pizza & I like mine well done which is how I ordered it & it was spot on. Left overs went home & reheated well. Will definitely go back.

Standard pizza joint with a nice lunch buffet. Pizza here is good, and the lunch buffet is an excellent value. They have rooms upstairs which can be used for meetings or parties. Nice people.

We had the lunch buffet, and it was less than good food. It was a $ 10 lunch that was worth $ 3. According to coworkers, their food is very hit and miss. I would skip the restaurant. Not worth the indigestion…

Im new to the Quincy Area. This has been the best pizza Ive had thus far. Very quick delivery. Quality ingredients. So far the Buffalo Chicken pizza and the Chicago style pizza are my favorite. The price is high, but you get what you pay for.

Really good pizza and I LOVE the variety. This place was the first I was aware of to serve a spinach feta pizza which is the absolute bomb! The buffet is absolutely worth it. Ordering pizza’s add up if you like the specials(which we do).

Thin crust, spinach and feta is one of my favorites. The greek is awesome too. If you’re looking for something besides mainstream pizza(Papa Johns, Pizza Hut, Dominos, etc.) Pop’s is an excellent choice.

Their pizza is tasty but not the best in town. They have great specials. I particularly like their taco pizza, when ordered for takeout or delivery they package all the toppings separately.

I am new in town, just moved here from southeastern Michigan and this looked like a friendly spot plus it was recommended by locals. Been here twice and ordered the 10 inch hand tossed with just pepperoni. Awesome. quite possibly the best pizza I have ever tasted. The dollar Bud specials dont hurt either. Service was very good the second time but not the first so I am giving it four stars…
