I’m writing this review based on the total cluster of chaos I witnessed while ordering from this place one night, first off, I think a 12 year old girl took my order. While waiting they kept bringing bags out and opening them and checking them over and over again, a couple had a fight over the food they ordered cause they had ordered it over 30 minutes before, maybe it’s one of those bags on the counter you folks keep opening and checking… 10 more minutes go by and those guys get their food … Hey it just happened to be one of the bags on the counter that was sitting there for at least 20 minutes already… Ugh okay now I’m asking where my food is, nobody knows… The same girl who took my order then asked me «are you sure you ordered yet?» Ummm ya I never left the place and you took my order. Then they started kissing my butt when they saw me pull out my phone… Well the food is here now, they check everything on the list. Hand me the bag I go to check it but now with all these bags all over the counter and two front tables I have no where to put it. They shorted me two items I paid for and saw when I got home, we called them and told them about it and they took my phone number down to give me a refund, needless to say when I went in to get my refund they acted confused like they didn’t know. Which is why I’m giving this review now, beware of this place. LOWGRADEINGREDIENTSANDMASSCONFUSIONENSUESHERE.

Have not ordered in some time ., on 9÷28÷15 was driving back home realized MK on way. All I ordered to be picked up Chicken Wings. Any reason why taste of Kentucky FC ?? Why looked light in color ?? And worst of all. get ready. hairs on skin sticking out. yes !! Ah but wait ., upon entering to pick up manager sitting in front eating .,(Eh??), some funky odor as well smelly stuffy air, place is dirty. As had to wait another worker sitting and eating to the side, just a minute two later another worker sits and eats with the first manager ., and they all look at you as I had two heads and four arms and legs(Eh? moment). Finally got my Ch. Wings as turned to leave looked up just to see creatures crawling high on walls/ceiling. This place is absolutely appalling ., how inspectors not shooting this down is even more puzzling !!! Not a single customer inside, two/three cars including mine at parking. Plenty to indicate in need of HELP and DANGER !! Send chef Gordon Ramsey for rescue !! This is Third World Food establishment for sure !! All went to garbage. including $ 8.00 +, oh well. !! Should have just turned around and run !! What a shame yet happy to be alive !! Would recommend to stay alive as well by NOT ordering from here !!

Something has changed. For the last few years we had been ordering from here and the food was great. Fresh, flavorful, fast delivery. Perfect every time. The service was friendly and very accommodating. Not once a mistake. Ordered a few weeks ago — knew something was amiss when I saw that the menu was all of the sudden missing the sushi. Also, a few of the menu items had different descriptions which I found odd. I asked the person when I called and he said new menu. Despite, I ordered. Food took uncharacteristically long to arrive. No friendly delivery person as usual. Everythign we ordered looked different. I immediately notice that my «mongolian beef» was not right — as a matter of fact, I was sure they had given me chicken. It had broccoli around it with carrots. Mongolian beef should only have onions(and mostly green). I called the driver to tell him they gave us the wrong meal. They sent the drive back. The driver arrived and just then the phone rang. The restaurant called to say that WAS my order and there was no mistake. I found that odd. I told him it looked very different. He swore it was the beef so I knew something had changed because this was nothing like the dishes I’d ordered in the past. Tasted it & it was not surprisingly, awful. The beef was light brown almost gray and mushy(hence I thought it was chicken). Zero flavor. Not edible. We had to skip the entire meal the food was so bad. SODISAPPOINTING! Never again!

With the new owners the service is suffering and very inadequate. It was at least 40 minutes before the food came out and it was only 1 meal. 15 more minutes before my girlfriend ‘s meal came out and I was already done. They seem very unorganized.

Finally some pretty good Chinese. It has always surprised me how good chinese is so difficult to find in the Quincy/south shore area. Especially if you like szechuan cooking. I had tried the Kung Pao chicken quite a while ago, i guess under the previous owners. It was really good. Albeit, I instructed how I wanted it which was spicy and not that sweet gloppy sauce and to my surprise it was great! So last night we decided to try this place again. Not knowing the ownership had changed. We ordered Kung Pao chicken, spicy shredded chicken with cayenne, singapore noodles and szechuan pork. All very, very good. Will definitely be our go to in the area.

Last week or regular place fumbled the ball, so we decided to give someplace else a shot. We had not been here since pre Unilocal days. LOCATION /PARKING: 4STARS On Route 3A, private lot. AMBIENCE: 3.5STARS A little small, but big enough, no dirty tables., HOTANDSOURSOUP: 4STARS Comes with the lunch special. A bit different, thinner broth, as more commonly seen in Wonton Soup, but I liked it. KUNGPAO: 3.5STARS Did not spit out any gukk into a napkin, as sometimes happens with shoddy Kung Pao. SWEETANDSOURCHICKEN: 3STARS CRABRANGOONS: 3.5STARS PORKFRIEDRICE: 2STARS Mailed in. I didn’t eat too much of it. SPRINGROLL: 3.5STARS Fresh cabbage. VALUE: 4.5STARS The lunch specials are valid even on Sundays. It comes with soup, entrée, pork fried rice. An extra app is only a buck, and the base prices only ran six to eight bucks I think. OVERALLSCORE: 4STARS This does not mean every bite was delightful, as noted, the pork fried rice suqued. With the good soup and the cheap price however I will now add this place to the rotation. Just like Angelo’s, a recent review, did not live up to my expectation, this one on the other hand exceeded them.

Ordered delivery Mandarin King on July 4 because every other place was closed… so happy they were open! We ordered sushi, lo mein, and crab rangoons and everything was delicious, hot, and not greasy! We ordered the large lo mein and I’m pretty sure it could feed a whole family, huge. Everything was great!

Found this place on grubhub and happy I did. For all of the Asian cuisine in Quincy, this place probably has the best Chinese out of all of the other Chinese restaurants in the area. I thought the serving for general gaus chicken was on the small side(usually get 2 – 3 meals out of the order I get back home), but it tastes good which makes it all worth it! Perfect hangover food. Thank you!

really good i believe more healthy then other chinese/food places it does have some oil but not all battered down like an american grease machine. the food is tasty and not over powered by all that salt if you tasted cathay you will know what i mean you can taste how bad it is for you its more a snack there but here at mandarin its a delicate nice meal you can always spice it up ask for spices or sauces all taste good and the service is top notch.

Got takeout a few weeks ago and was pretty good. The food was horrible tonight! It was greasy and cold. We could tell that everything was reheated and not fresh. We will not be ordering from here again.

Best Chinese food in the greater Quincy Point, East Braintree, North Weymouth area. More Asian flare and less the American version of Asian

Hands down the best Chinese food in Quincy! Way better than quincy jade and china chopsticks. My girlfriend and I tried this place after reading the reviews on Unilocal and we now will only order from here! Absolute best crab Rangoon and peeking ravioli I have ever had! I highly recommend this restaurant!

I don’t review on the first visit, in this case I have been going here for some time. The waitstaff is very friendly and helpful. The chef is always on site and the food is consistently well made. Never over seasoned or over corn starched. I have tried most things on the menu and have had a good dining experience. The sushi is excellent as well, very fresh and well presented.

I have to say I am impressed. I have only ever ordered out from them via foodler, but when they call personally with an update on my order and to give a heads up that it may be a little later than predicted I was impressed. The food is soooo good and the customer service is great.

This is a nice family run restaurant. No MSG just good cooking and very reasonable prices. Lunch and dinner specials are available. Lunch specials are mostly around $ 7.00 and the dinners are slightly higher. Easy parking in lot. Delivery available.

The wife and I were a fan of the old Mandarin King, which seemed to do things a little differently than the typical, greasy, not-so-fresh chinese food found on the south shore. We were disappointed when they shut down for several weeks for renovations, and we could really find a suitable replacement in the area. We were slightly surprised and a little concerned when we sat down for our first meal after their reopening, but our concerns soon evaporated. It’s really a completely different restaurant: new management, a new menu, clearly new ingredients/preparations, a sushi bar, and a bit of a japanese twist on some of the chinese food items we normally order. We were a little disappointed that the beef egg rolls were no more: instead, a somewhat regionally-traditional pork and celery-based egg roll has replaced them. The crab rangoons were extremely fresh. The Peking Raviolis are done a bit differently now compared to how they’re commonly done in the area. The meat is still spiced similarly and very tasty, but the dumpling is smaller and thinner, and more resembles the dough found in Gyoza(«potstickers»). The boneless spareribs were also very good and fresh, while the orange chicken seemed a little less battered and tasted a bit fresher than is typically found around here. All in all, while we’ll miss the old mandarin king, we’ve also been very happy with the new mandarin king. It *is* a different restaurant despite the same name. We’ve lost the beef egg rolls we used to love so much, but gained food that seems a bit more fresh and prepared with a little more care.
