Lotus Nail & Spa

I got my nails done on Monday (Full Acrylic set with gel). I paid $ 7 extra for the better Acrylic and $ 5 for the Gel. Wednesday afternoon I went to open my car door and my nail popped off on my right hand… for the record my right hand is fractured so I cannot do anything too intense with it. Anyways. $ 45 + $ 10 tip.
So today, (Thursday) I just went to go get it fixed. #1 it’s crooked, #2 it’s the wrong acrylic so it’s a completely different color. and #3, just like on Monday, there is residue all over my skin.
NEVER GO HERE. I’m not kidding. I’m not very picky, I don’t normally have nails, I just got them for an event. Now I have to go somewhere else on my lunch break tomorrow and have these ripped off (and they’re new so it will be very painful) and pay someone else to do my nails properly.
I only needed nails for like 5 days… and, in the end, this will now cost me about $ 100.

Ive been coming here for awile. the staff is friendly and they do a good job. the place is clean and pleasant.

I have now been here twice and despite the other reviewers, I have not experienced anything but great, friendly service and a fantastic gel mani/​spa pedicure. It is clean and they are quick yet efficient. I have been to several other nail salons in Quincy and this one has been the best so far!

Under new management and not as friendly as it used to be. Kim is gone and the person who did my nails today I could tell was new. She was struggling with my cuticles and my square nails are all angled! Also, don’t squawk at what I gave you for a tip. If my nails were shaped correctly I would have given you more!
This was my go to place ever since I moved to Quincy and now I’ll have to find a new place!

I love this place. I haven’t really experienced what the other reviewers state. This place is clean, the chairs & equipment seem pretty new, and everyone is really nice.
I have gone in and been told to wait before, but it’s at a time that all of the technicians are clearly busy. When I call ahead, they almost always are able to hold a spot for me as long as I give them even 15 minutes notice of my arrival!
I’ve gone in for manicures probably about a dozen times and have never had any of the girls be rough with me. Never bled, never been hurt, nor suffered from ‘the sharpest fingernails’. They always have a fresh, clean set of tools!
They have loads of colors and do like to offer gel manicures. I’ve never gotten it done, but have seen other ladies there getting wacky nail shapes or really cool/​crazy nail art. I saw a girl with a different design on every finger! It was pretty cool. Obviously language wasn’t a barrier because she had some wacky ideas and the girl was able to get them perfect.

I’ve been to this place before but first time going since under new management and I must say I won’t be back. I had to wait 45 mins each time I got up to leave she said «5 mins…» which is why I stayed then I finally get in the chair to get my nails done I showed her a pic of the shape to shape my nails did not come out how I wanted. I tried explaining that it wasn’t what I wanted she continued to say «not done yet just wait» and once it was done still was not at all what I wanted and she kept getting up to help another customer that came in way after I did… I thought was very rude she didn’t do that to anyone else.

Since this salon has come under new management, they redid the inside and the updates are really nice. I always leave there loving my nails. Would recommend this salon!

Ok I gave this place another shot and I just feel other salons do a better job for the same money. This time I had the owner & she has the sharpest fingernails which she used extensively to wipe smears despite my wincing.
Even though it’s a 5 minute walk from my house I won’t be back.
At least until it changes hands again which I anticipate will happen soon.

I banned this place for a long time, despite its proximity to my office. I tried it again out of desperation and remembered why I stopped going there in the first place. The owner shames you into the gel manicure. The icing on the cake was that the owner’s incessant nipping at my cuticles caused me to bleed. She then put some kind of glue on it which burned. Never again! NEVER!

Stopped in to get a fill, ended up getting the best Halloween design nails ever at a great price, and the girl really went the extra mile to make sure my nails looked perfect. and they do! I will go back to this place again. Definitely!
