I’ve been going to Fairy Café since they first opened, and they just keep on getting better! They’re conveniently located right by the Wollaston T station, so we end up eating here quite frequently, and we’ve successfully converted all of our friends to eating here as well! Service is and always has been friendly and fast. Prices are fair, and portions are generous and delicious. And they’re always seeking to improve and expand their menu, especially since they doubled the size of their dining area. Noodle soups and ramen, while not the best I’ve eaten in Boston, are still quite good, especially for the price point. The ever-growing list of appetizers are also delicious and a fair price. I especially recommend the chicken wings(crisp and juicy), the coconut shrimp(large and with a good coating), and the sweet potato fries(always fresh out of the fryer, and served with spicy mayo). The best deal though is the all-you-can-eat hot pot. A good variety of broths, including the same pork broth used for their ramen, and a long list of meats, seafood, vegetables, and noodles. The price recently went up for the all-you-can-eat, but it came with a larger menu that now includes more noodles, more meats, and mini dumplings. I haven’t had a bad choice yet on the hot pot, and the food seems nice and fresh. At some hot pot places, after you finish you feel bloated and kind of sick, probably from the quality of the food. But at Fairy, I feel like the hot pot ingredients are good quality and very fresh, and I feel pleasantly full but not heavy. For dessert, definitely try their smoothies, especially the mango smoothie and watermelon smoothie! They’re made from real fruit and they taste like it. A fantastic experience every time we go — the service and the food have made us customers for life.

Fairy Café does the trick if you have a hankering for ramen. Although it isn’t the tastiest broth I’ve had, it’s still impressive for Quincy. At such a reasonable price point, I don’t have much to complain about! I had the Japanese pork ramen which was fine, but I sampled my friends crispy chicken ramen and it was STELLAR. Their fried rice is light and I can appreciate that this is a mom and pop shop run by some hardworking individuals. If you’re in the mood for something sweet, try their black sesame balls!

Fairy Café is one of my favorite places to eat! I make the effort to come to this restaurant at least once or twice a month. Living in the South Shore, this one of the closest ramen places that I rather go to than drive all the way into Boston. The seating and atmosphere is always great, cute little wall decals and hanging lights. The food is really good! I love their ramen, especially the Japanese style one. The portion and flavoring is just right. The appetizers are all good! My favorite is the fried coconut shrimp! Their drinks are good as well! I always order the Hong Kong style milk tea which hits the spot. Their red bean smoothie isn’t bad either. Service is always very wonderful! There is never a long wait for the food to come and they remember to bring the drinks right away unlike a lot of phở restaurants. The owner is particularly nice and even remembered my order from before! Little things like that always gets two thumbs up :)

I’ve never had trouble eating here, good food and price. Except that employees need to learn and understand what a service dog is. Last time I went there with my friend, we had to explain twice what a service dog is and that it is legal for them to go in with the owner. 3 stars for the lack of understanding and giving an uncomfortable feeling, but decent food. Please train employees better in such matters.

I used to love going to this place for hot pot. It was affordable and decent quality, even though there wasn’t much variety. Now, they’ve gotten greedy and no longer respect their repeat customers. They’ve hired a rude waitress who always looks like she’s on her period and acted like she was constipated. They’ve raised the price from $ 20 to $ 27 even though the menu remained completely the same. This place used to be packed, now it’s full of empty tables. They’ve committed a sin against their customers because of their greed and they will fail just like all the other greedy restaurants. They don’t understand that the only reason people came here was because of their reasonable prices. For that much money, I’d rather go to shabu shabu in North Quincy for their better quality, variety, and customer service.

Japanese pork ramen was filling and decently priced. Calamari was spiced right. I would recommend going here for ramen due to price and quantity. The waitresses could be more friendly and not to rush to order food.

Comfortable place! Limited menu but good enough for a small café. Ordered crab rangoons, scallion pancake, takoyaki(could use better sauce but still yummy), fish ball ramen noodle(good light broth). Strawberry banana smoothie boba and HK milk tea was on point! Overall good food and friendly fast service! This café is not a great place to mingle with friends for a long chat during peak hours though…

Inside is not fancy, but you will feel comfortable through the time of eating. I often come to Fairy Café once a week. I tried soups and some other advertisers but never try hotpot tho. However, they are so great. I like spicy so then I usually order Korean and Thai TomYum ramens. Also, takoyaki, sweet potatoes, shrimp dumplings and the fried oysters all so tasty. They have free Wifi and staffs are so friendly. Parking is easy ^^ Love this place !

Small cozy place. Menu is limited. 4 stars because of neatness, cleanliness, and who can forget, SOUPDUMPLINGS! They’re pretty good here. Customer service can improve but oh well. Small café. Can’t expect much.

This place is one of the few places that I can visit over and over again. I’ve tried almost everything on their menu(their menu is not that big!) and I’m never disappointed. My favorite is their seafood udon soup and the pork ramen soup. They’re not a specialized ramen place like Pikichi or Sapporo but for the price, it’s definitely worth it! They give you a good portion with the option of add-ons for extra $. In terms of appetizers, the calamari and coconut shrimp was nice. I didn’t like the fried oysters as much. What surprised me is how good their smoothies are! My go-to is the watermelon lychee or their mango. It’s always blended perfectly with the right amount of sugar. I always end up getting a smoothie and hot soup which is a weird combo but they’re just that good that I can’t help but order both. I don’t prefer going there for their hot pot buffet since the options are very limited. If I wanted hotpot buffet I would go to Royal or Chinatown which has more options for around the same price(usually a bit more expensive though). The place is cozy and although it’s busy, I never had to wait. It can get loud at times since it’s a small place. There’s lots of street parking which is a plus. The staff is extremely nice and accommodating.

Hot pot: The Tom Yum and Kim Chi broths are seasoned really well and did not taste watered down at all. The a la carte prices are very reasonable: between $ 2 – 4 for vegetables and $ 6 – 9 for meat/seafood. However, we opted for the buffet($ 23.95/pp) because we didn’t know how big the portions would be and whether a la carte would end up costing the same as getting the buffet. As it turns out, the portions are very generous! I love watercress with my hot pot and they gave us such a healthy portion that we didn’t have to order more. The meats seem fresh, not frozen, and the quality of the items is pretty good! I liked the beef tongue and dumplings a lot. We also ordered the Japanese sausages and they tasted like unseasoned hot dogs so I would recommend avoiding those. They don’t have the(soy) sauce that typically comes with hot pot but only have BBQ paste, garlic, onions, and chili oil. Tip: The restaurant is pretty small and shares street parking with other establishments so I can see it being really busy. I recommend coming at non-peak hours or earlier in the week.

Prices at this place were pretty cheap which was nice, but the food was a toss up. We got the japanese noodle soup and the house special noodle soup. I really liked the content of the japanese noodle soup, but not a fan of the soup base(it was pretty flavorless/bland) and vice versa for the house special(the content of the house special content was fine but they don’t specify what’s in it on the menu so it was too much of a surprise to figure out what I was eating.) Food wise the fav thing we got were the fried oysters which were actually perfectly fried and delicious! But also I actually really love the watermelon and lychee smoothie because they use fresh watermelon! Would come back again solely for the smoothies and ice cream!

I liked this place a lot. The culmination of friendliness, quick service of food, and taste is what gives it 4 stars. The lost star comes from the lacking of description in the menu and the cleanliness of the restaurant at the time. We ordered the house special, the Japanese soup(name similar to that) and the fried oysters. Drinks ordered were the Hong Kong milk tea and the watermelon lychee smoothie. The house special was good, those that don’t enjoy nibbling on pig ear might want to avoid this. The Japanese dish, pretty much ramen was meh. Fried oysters were fried pretty well so all in all the food was good. The watermelon lychee was good, this opinion coming from both someone that likes lychee and someone that does not. While the HK milk tea wasn’t exactly a Hong Kong milk tea(not sweet enough) it was still good.

I went here yesterday with a friend and my first impression of the place was very tidy and cute. Décor makes it a very nice comfortable spot for young people. We had the fried oysters, Korean noodles with ramen and the Japanese noodles with ramen as well as tea with lemon. Tea w/lemon: not much to say here. Tastes just like Lipton tea. Can’t complain. Served cold. Fried oysters: oysters were piping hot when they came out. The first one I bit into had a strong seafood taste and had oyster juice falling from it. The fried crust was tasty and I can’t really complain about the oyster juices, but the next three on the plate didnt have any juice when bit into it.(I prefer it this way.) Overall, tasty and not too salty. Great with mayo or alone. Korean spicy noodles w/beef & ramen: tastes just like normal kimchi chigae. If you frequent the Korean restaurants in Allston like I do, this place does it just fine. Broth certainly tastes like kimchi. The beef was boiled, but they used some pretty fat cuts so it tasted fine. Japanese noodles w/ramen: This is pretty much where I stop agreeing with the other Unilocalers. It is a little unfair since I’ve been to a dozen ramen shops across the city, but no, this place would NOT put other ramen shops out of business. In fact, the broth doesn’t taste like it’s been boiled long enough. Ramen should have a nice hearty meat taste, but I felt it was way too light especially for a tonkotsu broth which is meant to be the thickest of all ramen types. Maybe this place is better suited to a Hong Kong palette: lighter than the originals. Overall I don’t think any of the dishes really blew me away. I thought it tasted good, but not«oh my god I’ll come here every day» good. Service itself was friendly! So that is a plus. Overall I will give it a 4 for doing a good job at presentation, friendliness, and food quality! But I have to say, the ramen really is a little disappointing. Best to get some other soup instead.

I frequent Fairy café with my boyfriend. We always enjoy the hotpot buffet. I’m a meat quality connoisseur and I must say that the restaurant has some of the best meat around. Great value. The pricing is fair. What makes Fairy café stand out above the rest is their customer service. Joie serves us all the time. And she makes my boyfriend feel like he is the King(hello Joie from Jamaal!). She is funny, charming and deserves good tips. We enjoy the restaurant so much that we continue to invite more friends and family to join us each time. Overall, the restaurant gives a friendly and inviting vibe, that keeps you coming back for more. They surely deserve 5+ stars. We will be there Friday night.

The best ramen! I’ve tried the Japanese Pork ramen, Tom yum ramen, and the spicy Korean beef ramen and out of those three, the japanese pork one is the best. I’ve tried the soup broth for the seafood and house special as well and they all have a different broth but they are all pretty good too. The ramen never disappoints and the soup broth is amazing. I’ve been to Hokkaido and another japanese ramen place before but I think the japanese pork one from Fairy Café is so much better. Definitely recommend trying the Japanese Pork ramen!

I’m going to make this ramen review short and sweet because the below is really all it needs. If Fairy Café relocated to Boston, it would put all other ramen restaurants out of business. Period.

I have to admit: things have improved fairy much here. :-P Ever since the restaurant bought the property next door, opened up space, and installed comfortable booths, eating here seems a lot more comfortable. It’s so much less congested and it’s easier to find seating here. The noodle soup has stayed the same, for the most part. Maybe there’s less pork, but it’s about the same. It won’t wow anyone but it’s decent. You get a lot of food for the price. Some of the ever-growing list of appetizers are passable to above-average. The fried oysters are probably my most favorite and the only one I’d order. I still think their Hong Kong style tea is better than most around.

Great local joint if you want to get your hot soup dish on if that makes sense! There is free 2 hour parking along the street, don’t risk your car getting ticketed or towed parking in the lot(that’s for some specific restaurant), park on the street! Food here is great, I come here for their hot pot and smoothies. My friends love them for their noodle dishes. I don’t eat a lot of hot pot so I order by the item and in total I eat 20 bucks with my boyfriend. If you’re into eating a lot you can option for their buffet at I believe 21 bucks per person? Broth is 2.50. Smoothies are so good here, I love their watermelon smoothie. They use real fruit and its not just syrup. Come and check this place out, its great and the staff are very nice.

Been living in Quincy for quite some time now and had no idea that this place existed! If you decide to make a visit, I suggest you come during the non-peak hours. This place is understaffed and it can take some time to get things done(eg getting the bill, refilling waters, etc). This is my only complaint. Most of the customers ordered some type of noodle soup so that seems like the thing to get. My buddy and I were craving some hot pot so we went with the all you can eat. If you do out the math, ordering items a la carte ended up being the same price so why not! The quality of the hot pot items were really good. My favorites included sirloin steak, angus beef, corn, watercress, fish paste, and clams. Definitely going to be making more visits in the near futures!
