Bait and switch with this company. I responded to a job posting they had posted to work FOR Carter and Mackay as a recruiter. I set an interview about a week in advance. I get to the interview and they say to me that they are sorry but they filled the position 1 week ago, but they would like to meet with me anyways to place me at a new position for one of there clients. Text book case of bait and switch. I was already there so I went through my resume with Jodi S. She said she might have something for me at a staffing company in Boston. I left the interview with a bad taste in my mouth, but hopeful that the opportunity Jodi had was a good one. I did my research on the company she had a position for and the reviews were awful. I didn’t feel comfortable working(or even interviewing) with a company that has such a great deal of negative reviews. Jodi and I had planned on talking before the phone interview about the opportunity. I asked her about all the negative reviews about the company and she tells me that I shouldn’t think in the negative and she was sensing alot of negativity from me. I guess asking questions in Jodi S’s. mind is a bad thing, and since she is helping with a job search I should just be grateful that she was able to find me anything. Anyways, long story short before you take the time to visit with this company make sure that the role you are interviewing for actually exists. They are not pro-active at letting people know ahead of time.
