I have been coming to Rachel at Aura for a few years now and at our last hair appointment she suggested I try something different with the color. I have been doing just a single process red color for a while now and so I decided to take her advice. I am so happy I did the color came out perfect her attention to detail and time she put it to make it perfect was amazing! I have received several compliments on the new color ! Thanks so much Rachel I love my new ombré red !!!

Rachel at Aura Salon is the best stylist I’ve ever had for my thick, unruly hair. I keep my hair pretty short, and I was always super happy both with the fresh cut and with the way it grew out. Rachel also strikes just the right level of friendly chattiness. I always felt comfortable and relaxed in her chair.

Love this place! I had Megan who is amazing. I bring her a picture and she duplicates it exactly. I always leave feeling like a million bucks!

I had a really positive experience here at Aura! I went and saw Lucy who had to correct a color I received from a salon down the road (Side note: it was Gervasi&Co-horrible customer service and owner was confrontational and unprofessional.)
Anyways, Lucy gave me the balayage look that I had been looking for! I love it! During my consultation with her beforehand, she was realistic & honest about what she could do since she was working with the challenge of a color correction. She brought dimension back into my hair in such a skillful way. She took her time blending the balayage and recreating the look I showed her in the picture. Lucy is very good at seeing your vision and executing it! I will definitely be going back to see her again.

Such a cute spot in Quincy! My hair looks amazing :) the staff are super friendly and accommodating! My hair was so so dead but my hairdresser trimmed it while keeping the length! Such a hard but lovely thing to do.

Hadn’t had my hair cut in 6 years. I was very nervous, but Lucy was so awesome! She and I worked together on the look that I was comfortable with. Lucy knows what she is doing clearly, because she made my hair look amazing! Will be a regular now

Aura is amazing! Highly recommend stylist Michelle. I have blonde hair and can be really picky. She listened to exactly what I wanted and did it even better!

Michelle at Aura does consistently great work! I’ve come in with difficult color correction and she’s always come through and made my hair beautiful ! If you’re looking for someone who is up to date on the latest trends and will always leave you feeling gorgeous Michelle is the way to go ! Not to mention she always makes me feel comfortable and is very attentive. There is always a positive vibe when I am in the salon as well! She is very informative and always makes sure that if I have questions that I am confident in her responses. I highly recommend her!

I had my first appointment at Aura with Courtney. Loved the place. Service is prompt. Courtney really listened to want I wanted. Loved the haircut she gave me. Place is also very nice and friendly. I will definitely go there again.

My regular hairdresser moved to the west coast and it took me a little while to find a new one. I haven’t had to look any further since I found Aura. And they’re also the closest to me… how convenient.
Rachel is consistently great and on the one occasion I showed up without an appointment there was somebody else that did a great job!

I’ve been here thrice now and I have nothing but good things to say about the salon, specifically Rachael.
First, being able to book online and see what’s available is awesome.
Second, parking is easy in the back lot… great hours for people who work late.
Third, they’re always on time
Lastly, I am not the most loyal customer when it comes to hair… I don’t really «have a person» but since all my haircuts with Rachael have been AMAZING, I think that’s changed. She listens, and does what you want. If you bring in pictures of what you want (Beyonce, Aniston, etc.) she makes that happen. She is smart and knows what she’s doing. I am always extremely happy when I leave and those cuts have been the best ones of my life. I’m still glowing from my awesome cut last week. Good job Rachael.
My one suggestion is you need cash to tip as you can’t do it on the card and that’s a bit inconvenient.

Had my first appt at Aura today with Stacey.
I’m very particular with my hair. Stacey listened to what I like and wanted, I showed her a few photos. 1 in particular that I liked and POOF! You’d think I was the girl in the photo!
Stacey is amazing! I will definitely be scheduling with her again.

Good cut, good location though parking can be hard in Quincy Center.
While I like the end result of the cut, everything felt rushed when I really wanted to come and have a relaxing experience at the end of my long day. Even the hair wash was fast and intense.
I might go back in the future, but not sure. Probably try a different stylist if I do go back. Tried Rachel basically because she had the latest appointment the day I wanted to go in. Perhaps 8pm appointments are to be avoided over all.
Again, end result is good. Not exactly what I was going for, but close enough. I was hurried back to the chair when I arrived, even though I came in 15 mins early with the exact purpose of flipping through the magazines to find the pictures to help.

Just went here this morning — Lucy is AWESOME! She did not make me feel uncomfortable at all, she did a great eyebrow wax, and she gave me exactly the bangs I wanted!!! I 100% recommend her.

So today was my second time here with in the past 3 week! an my secind time was even greater than my first! Stephaine did an AMAZING job styling my hair! She is also very friendly an has great conversation! This is forsure the best spot in quincy !

I have really thick, long curly hair and I have had trouble in the past finding hairdressers who are confident in dealing with it. Most recently I was seeing someone I was fairly happy with, but the salon was near work and when I switched jobs it didn’t make sense to go there any more, so I’ve been dabbling here and there.
Last summer I walked in to Aura for a trim and Lucy happened to be there. Since I was the only person there (it was first thing in the morning mid-​week) the receptionist, who must have been a trainee or going to school, asked me if I minded her watching Lucy cut my hair. Lucy explained why she was doing certain things, tips and tricks to cutting curly hair, and it was such a relief that I was in the hands of someone who was actually thinking about my hair differently than straight hair and was able to cut it with confidence. The trim came out great.
This weekend I went to see Lucy again for a wash, cut, blow-​out ($ 50). Again she impressed me with her confidence and knowing approach to my hair. After the blow-​out (I’ve never had one done professionally before) we discussed how styling it was tough — my hair is so thick so it looks awkward when it’s straight because I have a cut that makes my hair look good curly. It sounds like a silly, simple thing, but I have been dealing with well-​meaning hairdressers for like, 30 years, and I never feel like they really got it. With Lucy, I know she does. I will definitely be back for cuts and maybe a blow-​dry for a special occasion.
Otherwise, Aura is a nice, comfortable salon. Everyone there is nice, I like the online booking/​confirmation system, they usually have room for walk-​ins, and they are open late.

I’ve been getting my hair done by Rachael Carmine at Aura Salon for about two years now. She always does a fantastic job. She omits the confidence and vision that a hairstylist needs and I trust her whenever I’m unsure of how to get my hair colored or styled. She transformed my natural dark blonde look to a new, healthy shimmering bright blonde look to close out the rest of this summer. I highly recommend Rachael for all your hair stylist needs!

I’ve gotten 2 great hair cuts at Aura salon (with 2 different stylists).
Their staff is very friendly and they’re willing to take last minute appointments if you call. You can also book appointments ahead if they’re at least 8 days after the day you’re online.
I’d definitely recommend Aura for hair styling needs.
