Well Sean Spero, since I doubt you quilt, your review of your MOTHER’S ability as a quilter/​quilt pattern designer is PULP!!! WOW! Talk about a useless, solicited review!!! Were you schmoozing for an increase in your allowance or what!!!
I had the misfortune of wasting close to $ 60 on purchasing Jude Spero’s Little Louise patterns from her Etsy store and they are a travesty. With the majority of them, they are only 5 pages, including front and back covers — leaving only 3 pages for cutting, piecing, and assembly instructions (as opposed to the 10~12 page FREE patterns from the Moda Bakeshop website, Craftsy, and the plethora of other FREE resources).
There is nothing more that a single page with a spreadsheet type graph of cutting instructions, followed by a computer generated graphic of the block design, yet she SWEARS her patterns are richly illustrated with BOTH photos and graphics. NOT!
She rates her patterns appropriate for beginners but that’s nonsense! They include partial seams, odd, unconventional, nonsensical, peculiar and fabric wasting techniques that would confound even the most seasoned quilters.
She boasts of her 5 star ratings on Etsy yet if you read the comments from her buyers, 99% haven’t even USED her patterns and probably won’t because they CAN’T, as Spero’s patterns are so grossly inadequate, with a paucity of instructions and NO real PHOTOS of ANYONE actually MAKING a quilt from her useless patterns!
And, if you give her anything less than a 5 star Etsy rating, she will post a defamatory reply (readable by the ENTIRE Etsy community) demeaning, criticizing, belittling and humiliating your ignorance. And as if that’s not enough, she will then follow up with an accusatory nasty personal email questioning your intelligence and abilities!
Buyer beware!!! Save your money, spare the hassle, avoid her wrath, and shop elsewhere. She is simply not worthy of your business, and has a nasty, bitter, hateful and mean spirited attitude, when she should be thankful that you’re lining the pockets of an unworthy joke of a quilt ‘designer’.

One of the most talented individuals around. Jude puts a lot of thought and a LOT of hard work into what she does. I couldn’t be more proud to call her my mother. Anyone in the quilt world takes one look at her designs and is immediately in love.
