I’m only in this neighborhood once or twice a year — but I sometimes think about coming back, just for these passion fruit exploding magic balls that they can put in the tea. I was in the neighborhood yesterday for a meeting I wasn’t so psyched about — but I got through it, thinking about those little tasty orange tapioca sort of things. Bad news? When I arrived here — they were closed. Is it closed for good? Or did I just happen to stumble upon a bad day?

This place is ridiculous. Of the at least 8 times I have went there, they have only been open once. Mind you, I went within normal business hours. 11:00 on a Saturday? 12:00 on a Sunday? 3:00? 5:00 on a weekday? This wouldn’t be a problem if they had hours posted anywhere on their building, on their now nonexistent website, on their facebook. Why have I been so persistent? Because there’s no other bubble tea place within walking from home in Rego Park, I was so excited to see the reviews on this place, only to find the place is rarely ever open. The one time I did find them open, the drinks were good. The service was EH … it was one girl talking to some guy the entire time. She messed up the order, and when I explained this to her, she expected me to take the order as is anyway. Of course, I asked her to change this b/c that’s ludicrous. There was one period where they were kind enough to tape a piece of paper to their building saying they would not be open until a week from then. Fine, I thought. I will be sure to visit then. Of course that day came and guess what? It was closed in the early afternoon. Make sense? No. Did I mention they don’t have a phone number, so you can’t call in advance? I have no idea how they afford rent on this space when they are so resistant toward working for business. What a waste.

$ 5 for a combo of a «mini crêpe» and fruit flavored bubble tea. Nope still not good. The tea flavor is there but still not enough flavor of the fruit. Also the mini crêpe was nuked. I can’t imagine how the fish balls are prepared. The strawberries in my crêpe were also of the canned variety, and the whipped cream from a can. Thumbs down! There is only one person working there so service is a bit slow. While I was there, two people walked in and waited a bit then walked out. I can’t see this place being open much longer, looks like they can barely afford 1 person to work at time.

i just found out about this place today, and i completely fell in love! i got a black milk tea with tapioca, and it was perfect! the tapioca pearls were perfectly chewy — i hate when other places give you undercooked pearls. it was also much cheaper than places in flushing and chinatown. i will definitely be going back soon!

Drinks were good, prices were not $$$ at all. Ive been waiting for a bubble tea place around Rego Park, glad it’s here.

I went to Madly Sweet House yesterday with some girl friends and we were able to sit there for a while and catch up without being bothered. The guy serving us was friendly and gave us our order of fishballs(yum) and bubble tea(even yummier) quickly. It’s the perfect place to go with friends and chit chat. If you don’t want to stay you can easily take your drink to go too. I had no trouble finding parking since there are plenty of meters. Madly’s has a variety of drinks and specials. I definitely want to go back and try all the different flavors. If you buy 5 drinks you get 1 for free which is way better than any other promotion I know of(normally I would have to buy at least 8 drinks to get 1 for free). I love the bright stools and color scheme of the place. It’s a very cute store :)

Great service. The staff was very friendly and nice. I would definitely come back here again. I enjoyed my honeydew milkshake with lychee jellies!!! and their fishball with roe was scrumptious! I think it’s definitely better than Quickly’s. Quickly’s taste old.
