Julie’s Hair & Nail Salon

Today I wanted a Mani/​Pedi and went around the corner from my apt to this salon. I waited 25 minutes and then was asked to sit at a nail station for the Mani part. There was a used file on the used/​soiled napkin and nail implements in a plastic container next to that. The Nail Tech picked up the file and was just about to use it on my nails when I stopped him and said «that’s not sanitary, don’t you have a clean one?» He was extremely agitated with me and started shouting to his co-​workers in his foreign language as he searched frantically for some other files and implements. I realized this salon does not sanitize between clients and I just said, «never mind» and I left. I went down the street to Everest Salon, asked them if they sanitized and saw their Sanitizing Machine. Gave them my business
