ECU is outstanding. I joined about two months ago and have already lost over 15 pounds and have learned a ton of bjj techniques. There is a helpful yet competitive culture amongst the students. This is a legitimate bjj school, a place to train hard and have fun doing it. I wholeheartedly recommend this place to everyone.

ECU is as good as a training environment as it gets. Both the instructors and the students are serious about training and improving but have great attitudes and are friendly and welcoming to newcomers. All the classes I’ve taken including the gi, no-​gi and MMA, are fun and engaging but I come away learning something valuable each day and am motivated by encouragement of both Professor Rob G and my training partners as well. This gym is truly like a family and I’d recommend that anyone interested in rolling and getting in shape give it a try.
