The best haircut place in Flushing! Tony has so much patience and a great sense of style! He gave my son the coolest and best haircut!!! Our entire family is his loyal customer for years now!

This is my go-​to place for Japanese Straight Perms. When the place first opened, they had a deal that was like $ 99 for a JSP, plus they gave you conditioner. They have since stopped this deal, but the price is still very affordable and the stylists there do a great job. I had a really tough time finding a good place to return to for perms because it’s really a shot in the dark sometimes the way it’ll turn out. However, Beauty Workshop is the only salon that has consistently made my hair exactly how I envision it should be after a Japanese Straight Perm. I’ve been coming for about 4 years now and still, even though different stylists work on it, it always turns out well and I don’t have any huge complaints.
Now that my hair is longer it costs about $ 150-​$ 160 for a straight perm and it might just be this most current time, but my hair is starting to seem dryer because of the early perms. The stylist offered to do a moisture hair treatment (25 – 30 mins), but I refused. If that’s something you’re interested in it’s $ 30 on top of a perm or $ 50 in general if you were to just walk in with it.
I hope to continue coming back and I hope the staff will continue to be as patient as they usually are with my hair because it’s really unmanageable, but they somehow always make it work!

I made an appointment in advance with Tony for an updo for my friends wedding. As I was the bridesmaid I needed to be there on time. I got there at 4 and walked out at…6!!!
They were so freaking rude. First they had no idea what appt I was talking abt when I spoke TO TONY about it. So when I walked in they conferred with each other and gave me another stylist who had no idea what he was doing. He curled half my hair, then tony finished it and dissapeared and then I sat there for 45 mins! So rude and unprofessional. When I asked the other stylist that it was 5:45 now I needed to leave. He haphazarded twisted my hair into no resemblence of the pic I had showed him in under 8 mins!
I ended being late to the wedding and missing the photo session. DO NOT GO HERE. UNLESS YOU ARE THEIR NATIONALITY.

I come here for cut and color only. I’ve never tried other stuff with my hair. But everytime i come, i look for tony and he always gives the best service. He never rushes and cuts your hair in the way you want it. I always walk out feeling like a million bucks! I’ve been coming for about 2 years? But i came late the last time i went for a color and cut. Even though it was running close to their closing time, he did not rush one bit at all. After my hair was done with color, he started to work on the cut. Took his time and by this time, well passed closing hours!

I’ve been following the owner (Tony Liu) for years! He’s such a talented hair stylist and will make sure you leave the shop looking dapper! I always come here for cuts and coloring, and always leave with complete satisfaction (while, except for this one time when my bangs looked too short…).
I just got a haircut today, which made me bid farewell to my long hair! For the past two days, I just really wanted to try something different, and it took me a while before I had the courage to go short! Luckily, the shop wasn’t busy today (since it was raining) and Tony didn’t have a line of customers waiting (which he usually does).
I showed him a picture of the hair I wanted and asked him to make me look cute: P
Being the talented styles that he is, he not only brought the picture to life, but also threw in some great touches. By the time he was finished, I felt cutting off my hair was the best decision I’ve ever made!
Gals, if you want your hair to look fantabulous, this is the place to go!

I always pass by this hair place in new world mall… I had been wanting to perm my hair for a while so when I saw that they had a special $ 20 off for perms… I was like ok let me be spontaneous and try this new place since its only $ 100 and included some special other treatment that I can’t remember… I asked for curly perm. I expect curls. After 2ish hrs I was left unsatisfied and grumpy that I spent so long in the chair and ended up with not much curls and it even looked straight. I wake up with curlier hair, seriously. They said they can redo it next wk so I decided to go for it. Second time we used smaller curls but he result was just a bit wavy. I don’t believe the problem lies with the guy who did my hair. I believe it is the equipment. They just sprayed chemicals in & used rollers (in which they attached these rod like things to heat up the rollers).
Other places I have paid 60 $ for bouncy curls and they use that spinning heat thing that looks like a UFO spinning behind my head. This was the 1^st time my perm did not include this process. A wk later… My friends commented that I didn’t look like I even had a curly perm. My guy was very nice and patient. For future perms I will not come here ever. But I saw the hair coloring they did for this other girl and it was awesome.
I don’t reccomend you come here for curly perms. But I will recommend this place for guys haircuts and hair coloring. This place is filled with male workers. I regret doing my hair here… First time I tried a new place. I’m going back to my old place from now on!
