Called at about 45 mins ago to be told that there’s no way when I got here this place is packed. The post of the phone put it at least have some consideration not knowing what the person situation on the other side of to tell the person the truth now I’m late for two other appointment because I’m waiting here for over 45 minutes and I still have not been called for a simple pedicure

I will never come back here again. This is the last time I excuse bad customer service. Long story short I waited 3 hours and only got a pedicure. I was supposed to get tips. I specifically waited for Susan after my pedicure. I do not trust anyone else in there to do my tips. The two times I didn’t wait for Susan my nails got messed up. Anywho after a lack of communication I had to exit. But it’s ok because I found a new place.

Horrible. I got tips done and they popped off the very next day!!! I have lived in this neighborhood for over 10 years and they used to be better. They have gone way downhill. Their prices are reasonable but i would rather pay more for better services.

Let me start off by saying, this place is a hole in the Wall Nail Salon. I simply wanted to «soak off» my tips and get a manicure done to fix my cuticles etc. I was greeted nicely then the lady told me to sit down in the chair as she was ready for me. Instead of actually soaking off the tips, she decided to take a metro card and go under the tip to slide them off. Because of lack of time, I accepted. It was quite painful but I endured it. A few of my nails broke which was okay. After about 5 mins of the«soak off» aka trying to take the tips off, she begins doing my manicure. Going well until I ask her to simply spray the work utensils with alcohol. She didnt understand me so she asked her manager whatnI said so she could translate. While doing this, she rolled her eyes and murmured something in her language. My bottom line is I ask to spray with alcohol b/c most shops do not do this. I dont know how they sanitize their items but, they did not look clean at all. I take an extra precaution b/c my toenail fell off from unsanitized stuff and I had to be on meds due to an infection. Anyways, after my «manicure» which lasted about another 6 mins the girl told me to go & wash my fingers. After doing this, I decided to let my nails breathe(no nail polish). I then asked how much I owed them, their reply was 11.00!!! What the hell? I was in the store for maybe 11 mins tops, no nail polish and not even a soak off. At this point I challenged her price and explained to her it was unfair since it was more of a nail«rip off» not soak off and no polish. She yelled to the other lady in her language and finally brought the price down to 6.00 which I gave the lady doing my manicure 1.00 tip. NEVEREVERAGAIN. BEWARE!!! THEIRCUSTOMERSERVICESTINKS! AVOIDATALLCOSTS!!! STAYAWAY!!!

I’ve been coming here since I moved to the neighborhood in 2005 and I have always had a good experience. The prices are reasonable, and the staff has always been friendly. Pros: –They have redone the floors in the salon, and put up new displays so the place does look a lot nicer. They also have massage chairs when you are getting your pedicure done. –I have to say, they also do a great job at giving you a lower leg massage during your pedicure that feels amazing! –They also wash the foot baths and keep the place tidy and use clean utensils every time. I watch them take it out of the sanitation station. –If you can get the gentleman that works there to do your nails you won’t regret it. He is great! But he is usually busy doing fill-ins/tips Cons: –They don’t accept credit cards it’s cash only, but there is a bodega two doors down just in case you need to go to the ATM –Make sure you don’t wait until 7 to go there for a mani pedi when they close at 8 because they will rush and that will impact the quality of services you will receive. –I also wish they had a wider selection of colors to choose from. I usually bring one of my own just in case I don’t see one that I am particularly fond of which is why I gave a rating of 4 stars.

I must say I’m rather shocked by all of the positive reviews Wendy’s nail has gotten. I have lived in the neighborhood for 10+ years and have been to this salon many times. I would say it used to be very good. While the prices remain very fair for all manicure and pedocures, I find the facility itself to be quite unsanitary. There is always a very long wait, when you go for a pedicure the sink where you put your feet in is always dirty and they barely wash it out they just rinse it for 10 seconds. The tools that they used is filled with flicked from other people and hasn’t been sanitized in god knows how long. I asked one of the employees to open up a new set of nail files and buffers for me and I’d pay extra but they refused I guess they didn’t have any. I don’t know about anyone else but I’d much rather spend a few extra dollars somewhere else rather than getting my nails done somewhere unsanitary and risk getting an infection.

I came here today due to the wonderful reviews. Susan did my nails, and she did a good job. I also like the prices. I got French tips for $ 27,regular tips are $ 19, fill ins are $ 14 and pedicures are $ 10. I could nitpick at a few negatives, such as mini air bubbles in my nails, but nothing major. I’ll try to add a picture. I think that I will make this my new nail salon.

Came here for the first time today for a well needed pedicure. Judy did my nails and she was amazing. She did a bang up job and didn’t rush through it like so many other nail salons do. For the price I paid I will definitely return here for my next pedicure. I totally recommend this place of you’re in the area. Glad I listened to the other Unilocal reviews and took a chance on this place.

I’ve been going to Wendy for my bi-weekly fill-ins for years. Fairest prices around. The salon is not the prettiest but my nails always look great afterwards.

I have been going to Wendy’s Nail Salon in Queens Village, NY for the past 4 years! A friend recommended it for a Bridal Party and I’ve been hooked ever since! Wendy is the owner and she is super cool, and really nice. Her staff is great, friendly and not shady like some salons. I love the enviroment and the prices are wonderful and wallet friendly as well! :) :) :) :)
