Do not let the location scare you away. The food here is as authentic as can be. The fish taco was cooked perfectly as well as their chicken taco. Whether you live close by or just visiting you must try this place if you’re in the mood for authentic Mexican food. Down to earth owners, family owned and family operated. I’m trying a burrito next time!

I was so excited to have stumbled upon this little place, reminds me so much of my childhood. We’ve been here a few times and every time it has been a great experience, the staff is very nice and personable! The carne Asada burrito was delicious, their strawberry shaved ice is so yummy, so fresh and we also tried their champurrado drink which was just like my Grandmothers, delicious!

We love Mexican food and have been in search of an authentic place that is not part of a chain. We are sooo happy we listened to the reviews and tried this place!!! Don’t let the ice cream parlor look fool you. The food is cooked to order, flavorful, and portion size is out of this world. We ordered the carne asada burro and it was perfect. If you have not tried this place it is a must. We will definately be back!!!

Super yummy tacos, homemade tortillas, yummy asada, and yummy rice. Not to forget they serve Thrifty ice cream, they make fresh fruit snow cones and I love their flavor water drinks called Aqua Frescas! Very fresh and homemade! Our family is in love with this place.

We were looking for new places to eat in Queen Creek and stumbled on this amazing place right here on Unilocal.I am so glad that I took the advice of everyone on here and didn’t go off of my gut feeling based on the name. While it is an ice cream parlor(which I didn’t try, but I’m sure is amazing) it also is an OUTSTANDING Mexican restaurant. I got the Carne Asada burro and I split the Escamocha. The burrito was just about as large(if not larger) than Chipotle and it had a much better flavor! It was definitely freshly made and the tortilla had flavor on its own. I will definitely be back to try the tacos that my mother tried and some of their other dishes. Tl;dr: Amazing. Try it and you won’t be disappointed.

Just an FYI, my husband and I showed up about 7 or 7:30pm and they were closed. This was on a Sunday, I just don’t want people to show up thinking that they’re open until 9pm. Hoping to catch them sometime when they’re open :)

Loved this place I give it 5*****s! Best burritos in town! Tortillas made fresh just like at home and their meat tender, moist and flavorful! Just how Mexican food should be. I am Mexican cook everything from scratch so I know how it should be. Been to so many other so called Mexican restaurants but this is by far the best!!! Lucky it’s in Queen Creek! Will be coming back again!!!

Great hot dogs and burritos! The Tosti Elote is really good; it’s kind of like nachos with corn. Shaved ice and ice cream made a perfect dessert for this authentic meal. They even have Mexican candies and treats, like Lucas. Family-owned and unique. Nothing more to ask for.

We found this place last weekend! I had the Carne Asada burrito and a melon water. The burrito was excellent. The melon water was fresh. By fresh I mean they sliced up the melon just for me. :-) It’s really nice to have a non-chain Mexican restaurant in Queen Creek. If you are looking for authentic Mexican food they definitely have some interesting options. The food is fresh. The kitchen and dining area are clean. This is a great place to grab a quick bite or sit down for dinner.

We accidentally found this little gem — and then we mistakenly thought it was just ice cream. SOGLADWEWENTIN! It’s amazing! Burritos are delicious! They make their own tortillas(we took some home). Yummy! They make their own horchata — it was to die for! AND, sit down, they have Thrifty Ice Cream! I should also point out that the shop is super clean. This will be on the list of regular stops!

So far have been here once. The menu looks amazing and I want to try everything! I had the Sonoran dogs and they were awesome. I also had the carne taco. Everything taste great and they had good customer service. It’s a small place and most people miss it. They need to work on their sign and maybe put some advertising on side of street to gain business. Place did pack in people while we were there. Plus if you like Thrifty ice cream they serve it!

Do yourself a favor and stop by! After our first time there for lunch, we went back to have dinner too. The mixed fruit shaved ice is amazing and refreshing. The chipotle sauce on their fish tacos is fantastic. Even better that it is all made by them. We will be going back lots!

Don’t look in the window and walk away. Looks like an ice cream shop, which they have, but the real find is the food. Very limited menu but very authentic Mexican food and sensational. Best fish taco I ever had. Try it soon before the world discovers it

I had their escamocha twice. The first time it was great, the cream was delicious and had lots of fruit, granola coconut all that goodness! The second time was the same except some of the fruit in it had an odd taste to it. Like they had used the same knife to dice onion or some of the other food. Maybe they forgot to wash it and used the same knife to cut the fruit? Or it could of been the cutting board. Ive been here a couple times and had always enjoyed it, but tje last one left a bad taste in my mouth :-( However i plan on trying it again soon and hopefully give them 5 stars

They have the best tasting crème for their escamocha and they are definitely not skimping on giving you a good serving of it! While eating there the owner told me if there is anything I don’t like about the food to let him know. But there really wasn’t anything bad I had to say. I’ve had many many escamochas and this is one of the best tasting ones I’ve ever had!
