What a great little spot! We stopped here looking for a restroom and a sandwich to go, on our way to Killington. We had our dog in tow, which can make stops on the road difficult. I went upstairs, ordered a sandwich and said I’d be right back. My wife went in and after a short chat with the bartender, she called me to say that we ought to sit down and have a drink while we eat, as they were happy to have our black lab join us! Indoor dog friendliness is rare, with good reason, but we will always support a place that lets Lucy join us… we’re not crazy dog people, but she has anxiety issues and spending time in the car alone invariably results in… problems… So the three of us had sandwiches and a couple beers and recharged the batteries before the final stretch into the mountains. Food was good, beers were cheap, and service was great. See you next time!

Went on columbus day 2015. place was packed…2 people working! Took 20 min just to get menus… then another 20 to get someone to take our order. at this point doesnt much matter how the food tastes. Trying to save a few bucks not bringing extra help in can doom a restaurant. I wouldnt waste my time comming here again! After waiting an hour, someone from the kitchen brought us our diner. it turned out to be paper thin deli turkey, ice cold .no stuffing. no vegitables.we told the waitress, she took it back, muttering something. brought it back, still cold… we left.

I was on a bus trip heading back from Montréal. The original schedule had the group staying in Montréal for most of the day,. The tour director decided to change the schedule — leave Montréal much earlier than expected and stop at Quechee VT, Now there are approx. 40 of us on the bus, the tour director did not call ahead to warn them we were coming. We arrived and the diner was closed,. The bus driver checked with CJ’s and they said they would be able to serve most if not all of us. Everyone there was super friendly. Service was great. Food was delicious. You couldn’t have expected anything better. And to be able to serve a large group all at once without warning is purely remarkable. I would highly recommend this place to anyone passing through this area.

Not so good. They have expanded into the diner next to the bar. Breakfast was just not good. Eggs Benedict, whites of poached eggs not cooked, hollandaise tasted like nothing but an odd taste of chicken bullion. Horrible, greasy home fries. Pancakes ok but upselling VT syrup is awful, just add it in to the price. The food is really subpar. On the upside place is much cleaner than it has been in the past and the people are nice.

Highly recommend the cousin bill burger, cooked to perfection. My only complaint: you can tell the fries and fish are cooked in the same fryer… otherwise, great place!

Wow — what a horrible experience! Terribly managed restaurant! Waited a full hour for a salad and a couple of sandwiches. Out table of 7 was served 5 meals and it took another 30 minutes for the other two people to get theirs. Complained multiple times to the waiter who was the only server in the place. The Owner/Chef was not the least bit accommodating and was down right rude. Worst experience I have ever had in this area eating.

I got loaded potato skins. Not sure what they were loaded with except cheese and a slice of bacon. Tasty yes, loaded, NO! My husband got the wings and he liked them.
