Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft

This store is more convenient for me and much newer/​cleaner than the one in Whitehall, but it has less stuff so I often combine a Jo-​Ann trip with other trips to the mall area.
That said, I saw some material online that I loved on super sale and the website said they had 6 yards in stock. I checked a few days later, and it still showed 6 yards. I headed their last night and could not find the bolt. It was a premium quilt fabric by Cloud 9 but not in that section. And then nowhere in the premium quilt fabric area. A nice young woman asked me what I was looking for, and she started to help. By the time we determined it was just not there, four different employees were helping with the search, and all of them very friendly and apologetic. Once we decided it was really missing (it happens… and apparently they’d had some theft problems on Cloud 9 fabric recently so they believe someone stole it), they offered to special order it for me. I had it shipped to the store so it didn’t cost me anything but the sale price of the fabric. They definitely went above and beyond and I was very grateful! Now to see how long the special order takes! :)

This is a JoAnn «Superstore», which means it has more ‘goodies’ than a regular old «Jo-​Ann».
Good Stuff:
*Lots of stuff on clearance
*Nice yarn selection, with the yarn in good condition, rather than unravelled all over the place like Medusa’s hair.
* Most of the staff are nice, and glad to tell you where to find things.
* Lots of garden stuff, for those who like it.
Bad Stuff:
* Dirty bathroom
* Ants all over bathroom floor
* «Red Tag» fabric selection is crappy.
* Some clearance items priced incorrectly, and staff didn’t seem to know that they are supposed to sell the item for the price MARKED ON IT.
