Really quaint little shop with tons of free samples of various types of maple syrup and a fun video of the process of making maple syrup. The«amber» syrup is great and the price was right. Their«smoked» syrup is amazing, tastes like drinking a winter fire. Would be amazing for glazing a steak on the grill in the winter.

I have researched all over the internet for good quality maple syrup wedding favors and am happy to have found Hidden Springs Maple. The prices are super reasonable, the wedding favor bottle sizes are perfect! Most wedding favor websites offering syrups/honey only have small sizes and cheaper quality, but this bottle can make for 5+ toasts and absolutely delicious in my opinion. The staff that processed the order were informative and quick. I ordered 80 bottles and it arrived to my house in two business days. Highly recommend if you’re looking for high quality wedding favors people will love!

Love love love this place! Stocked up for the year on maple syrup and honey They have tons of maple syrup marked down right now, so take advantage if you are in the area. Oh and I must mention their delicious ice cream with maple syrup to top it off. Definitely the best part of Putney.

Me too! I have to jump on the ‘maple train’ to give this light-filled gem of a shop an overwhelmingly positive review. We were greeted warmly and encouraged to taste test the various grades of syrup festooned professionally on the display table. The clearance and special items of the day were professionally pointed out to us but not in a pushy way. We did purchase a bottle of the liquid nectar and the most adorable wooden wand – lots of other cute stuff here – not the typical tourist kitsch. Finally very nice public restroom – very welcomed and needed break after roaming around the(ahem) tiny berg of Putney

So great was my experience, I made another stop before leaving the area. It was a beautiful Saturday morning, and the staff were even MORE helpful this time.(The first time customer service was great.) I didn’t think it could get better! Happy to shop here. Have told many already about this gem, and will indeed return!

This is an excellent place to take a trip to! This lovely, family owned store is extremely knowledgable, helpful and welcoming to everyone who walks through their doors. I was teaching at a summer camp and brought my class of international students to Hidden Springs Maple for a field trip. There was nothing that screamed«All Vermont» more than this place. We showed up unannounced, but Michaela(the daughter who was working there that day) was very helpful and gave our class an introduction into maple syrup. We watched the short, informative video and then proceeded downstairs to have a tour of the facilities with Larry, where we learned about processing and distribution. All in all, my students loved the trip and we all learned a lot about Vermont and maple syrup culture. The best part of the trip for my students was that they were able to shop for a variety of «Made in America» souvenirs! This is a great store to get different kinds of maple syrup(which is great if you’re from out of state/country), handmade soaps, various kinds of maple candy, mints, amongst many other things. I bought the maple syrup buttermilk pancake mix alongside some Grade A medium amber syrup. I made it yesterday and my boyfriend loved it! Seriously, Vermont maple syrup has nothing on Aunt Jemima’s maple syrup, haha. Lovely place to get an ice cream cone as well– it’s $ 2 for a «kiddie» which is two swirls of ice cream… which is still a lot of ice cream! Coming from NYC, I expected $ 2 worth of ice cream to be a mellon scoop of product, but a «kiddie» ice cream!– that is probably worth $ 4+ in every other major city. I was told that their syrup is the most affordable around and that they even sell to other local grocery stores which market up the price. Definitely come check out this wonderful, local, family owned store and buy some maple syrup!

This place is literally in my backyard. Perfect spot to cool off and grab an ice cream and just relax for a bit after a romp in the woods.

Really nice little place. We love taking a day trip up to this area no matter what time of year, but this was the first time we have been to this little gem of a place. We usually hit the regular places… Putney Inn for Dinner or lunch… Basketville for a few trinkets, and maybe even the general store. This time we found a flier for Hidden Springs Maple and decided to take the short drive up Westminster Rd. Such a nice little country store with a super nice owner. He had a fresh pot of coffee, as well as a few samples of cheese and some of their maple products. They even make their own maple syrup, which is worth the stop alone. This is the kind of place that makes you happy to buy local. I’m looking forward to my next visit!

A simple country store and great place to get the real maple syrup. I like that they have a simple tasting with the four grades of syrup and little tasting cups so you can help yourself and self-educate on which type you prefer the best. The prices are reasonable — real maple syrup is not cheap nor easy to make. Don’t expect a lot else other than stopping here for maple syrup and some other local fares, such as maple candies, and a cooler with local cheeses. It is part of the New Hampshire/Vermont experience for somebody traveling out of town and wanting to see some of the sights/experiences.

I brought two friends from AZ to this charming VT store to get a «taste» of New England and it was definately one of the highlights of their trip. We sampled all the grades of maple syrup and learned so much about the process. Not only does the store offer an excellent selection of gifts and all things maple, but it is a cozy, friendly place to relax and enjoy good conversation with the owners, staff and locals. It is at the top of my list of places to bring my friends from the west coast! Thank you Hidden Springs Maple for the hospitality and the delicious maple syrup!

Stopped in at this charming little store while checking out fall color. What a find! The store is adjacent to a gorgeous farm house, and backs up to a creek with lots of color. The folks are friendly and helpful — lots of information on the area, maple syrup, the manufacturing process, the local sugar bushes, and more. There’s all the grades of syrup to sample, lots of goodies and recipes for maple syrup. If you are looking for a classic taste of Vermont, don’t miss this little store.
