Good pizza place… crust is more pie-like than bread. Sauce and cheese are quality ingredients. I had mine with anchovies.

Totally a hidden gem in Purcell. My dad has always talked about his childhood pizza days and we finally made a trip to this place. Food — delicious. Thin crust pizza. Good amount of toppings. For the family, we ordered a pepperoni, Canadian bacon, and taco pizzas. Service — phenomenal. Super friendly and customer-focused.

I love this place! Jo’s famous pizza is delicious, fresh, and the toppings are plentiful! Jo’s defiantly deserves more than the 3 stars it has now. They make their own sauce, dough, and salad dressings! The only complaint I ever hear is the wait, but in my opinion the pizza is well worth the wait.

This is one of my favorite pizza places. I work in Lexington once a month, and drive over into Purcell for the lunch special. It includes a salad, drink and mini pizza. The salad is good, but what makes it great is the homemade ranch! I usually order the combination. It is loaded when it comes to the table. The only downside is that it does take a while(20 minutes or so) for your pizza. It is made from scratch and delicious so well worth the wait!

Anytime I tell someone I’m from Purcell they almost always say, «oh they have that awesome pizza place, Jo’s!» It is definitely famous and for good reason! They use all fresh ingredients, grind their own hamburger meat, and the dough and sauce is made from scratch using the same recipe Jo started the business with over 50 years ago! It’s definitely not fast food, as it takes 20 – 25 minutes to get your pizza, but I promise you it is worth the wait! If you are ever on I-35, take the exit to Purcell and try the pizza! Warning: all other pizza will be disappointing after you try it!

Jo’s Famous Pizza is a gem in Purcell, OK. A pizzeria that focuses on making a quality pie along with treating their guests with exceptional customer service. Sometimes the best things are really the simplest. Fresh ingredients, clean, no loud extras like radios or tvs to take away from the experience of the good food or good company. I would recommend Jo’s whether you are looking for pizza, an excellent salad or a sandwich.

I would give this place 5 stars except the entrance and exits need renovation — I scraped the front of my car both times even going extremely slow. Truth? Great pizza — especially anything that had the canadian bacon on it(we ordered several pies so the variety was definitely in our group). Great service and very accommodating to every request made. I seriously wish they delivered but we’re like 3 hours away so I guess that’s a pipe dream :)

Had not heard of this place, and I was wanting some pizza. Yeah, décor is a little weird(maybe an old BBQ joint?) but it’s good pizza. Crust is a lot like Humble Pie(not deep dish, but flaky and tasty) and defnitely worth the trip. Nice salad, mini pizza and a drink for $ 9.99. Glad I checked it out.

I LOVE this pizza. They have the cheese that stretched for a mile after you take a bite. It is a real treat every time I drive off I-35 and it’s right off the highway. The toppings are loaded and you have to love family owned businesses. I wish they would open up in Texas.

I eat here on occasion, but only if someone else is paying for it. The pizza is greasy, takes a loooong time to get after you order, served on cardboard plates and it’s fairly bland. And expensive for what your getting. I’ve had worse, but I’ve also had better pizza under a convenience store heat lamp.

My Uncle absolutely loves this place and wanted all family to meet here which is hr for all us. I must say I was very impressed. Salads were fresh & colorful with homemade dressing. The pizza was outstanding. I even order another to take home. It does take some time to get your pizza… found out cause everything is prepared when ordered not frozen. I will be back definitely. Do Not Skip this place.

Dated décor… was it a turn of the century brothel? Pizza toppings were less than bountiful. Lacklustre service, like teenage daughter that would rather be out wirh friends than serving you a pizza. Served on cardboard pizza rounds for platter, and plate. If it was called cheap pizza dive, and the prices reflected such… it would be okay. Wouldn’t try to impress a date by going here.

Not at all a pleasant taste compared to previous visits. With the new outrageous prices will not be back. It’s like they are under new management & trying to maximize profits off of the old reputation.

On our travels my fiancé and I wanted to check out different spots. We decided to stop here. Now they said they did not see us come in, nor each of us get up to use the restroom, but we sat there for about 10 minutes without recognition. It wasn’t until a group of boys walked in and got immediate wait service that I decided to get up and ask about us. That automatically knocked it down a bit. The pizza wasn’t that bad. After using several napkins to get the grease off that is. I like how you can buy a cup of jalapeños though. The crust was thin and butter and that I liked. It is right off the highway which made it easy to get too. However, we accidentally missed the exit as the navigator(me) was reading an email instead of paying attention to where we were going. If you do miss it, just keep going which is what we should have done.

The pizza was decent, not the best in Edmond. The restaurant was extremely drab, boring and looked like hey have never ever dusted. Hey need to work on cleanliness.

We pulled in during a rain storm having found nothing particularly appealing throughout the rest of the town, so opted for Jo’s. The staff was friendly enough, and the pizza was a decent thin-crust, if a little cracker-y.

I have heard rave reviews from a coworker for years about Jo’s, so when I was driving through I stopped by to try it. The service is good. However, the quality of pizza is not. We ordered a half sausage half pepperoni pizza. The pepperoni tasted fine, but the sausage tasted like low grade breakfast sausage. The crust was incredibly greasy, and the sauce very bland. The cheese quality was average. I would put the overall quality to be on par with a chain pizza restaurant. Which is fine. But the prices are what you would pay for a better quality pie. I would probably not eat here again.

I just ate at the Jo’s in Edmond and I don’t know what they’re serving in Purcell but this offal is certainly not famous. I got a medium 2 topping pizza(12″) that was almost $ 14 and it had CANNED mushrooms. Everything was really bland and I will never return here.

I don’t really know if Jo’s is famous or not, but it should be. It’s an oasis in an otherwise food-barren town. The pizza is amazing, and not just by Oklahoma standards either. Thin, crispy crust; sweetly tart tomato sauce; delicious toppings(including green olives!); and more grease than you can shake a stick at. Eating there is the best, for obvious fresh-tasting reasons, but eating off of cardboard plates under chandeliers is what makes Jo’s worth every 5 stars. It’s like 2 minutes off of I-35. If you find yourself heading in either direction take one of the Purcell exits, you won’t be disappointed.
