Went for fathers day and enjoyed the Veal. It was excellent. Tender, perfectly cooked, the sides were perfect. Great service. The waitress was prompt and repsectful. Our reservations changed last minuet and they were more than happy to accommodate. My new favorite italian restaurant.

I really wanted to give this place 4 stars, but unfortunately 3 was the best I could do based upon my recent visit. A three star rating is not bad, mind you, it just shows room for improvement. After living in Pueblo for a few months I’m surprised I actually hadn’t made it in sooner, as I’ve heard nothing but praise for this Italian eatery right on the Riverwalk. Came here with a group of 9 for a special celebratory dinner for one of my colleagues. We arrived in stages due to odd work hours, but Rosario’s staff was able to accommodate us well. Our server did a good job of keeping things orderly when dealing with a larger group. She helped us with a bottle of wine for the table(Moscato, much too sweet for me, but hey, I wasn’t the one picking!) and made sure we all knew the specials before we decided on any dinner options. When someone asked about the soup of the day, she did take the time to go back to the kitchen to find out what it was. The issues began when I went to order my meal. I had debated between a few options and finally decided upon the gnocchi in the browned buttered sage sauce. Sounded delightful. Only problem? «Oh, we’re out of that». Since I was the first to order and didn’t want to hold up the rest of the table, I quickly chose the Shrimp Scampi. Onto my colleague to my left. She opted for the Tocanels, but before she could say the sauce, the server piped up «Oh, we’re out of that too,» to which my colleague replied, «Well, what do you have?» Clearly this was something the server should have informed us of when providing the specials. Once we got that settled, the rest of the table placed their orders with increased ease. Onto the drinks. Since it was a large group, not all of us really got more than a sip of wine, so some of us opted for individual glasses. One of my colleagues asked if there was Sauvignon Blanc, to which the server replied«if it’s open.» Okay. I chimed in that I would like a glass as well, thinking it was a hot day, I was eating shrimp and if I’m going to do white, it’s going to be a Sauv Blanc. And, there is power in numbers; if two of us wanted it, they would probably open a bottle. Alas, no. The server returned about 5 mins later to inform us that the bottle was not open, which got me thinking — what does it take to open a bottle? Because if they only serve it by the bottle, then she should just say that. Anyway, my colleague settled on Pinot Grigio, and I went for a Red Zin. My colleague got hers, but mine was somehow forgotten. So after about 10 mins, I reminded the server and my wine was then promptly delivered. The food! It was actually really quite good. The shrimp was served piping hot, and the penne pasta was cooked appropriately, as were the roasted veggies. However the delivery process was incredibly chaotic. The wait staff had our plates all mixed up and several times had to run back to find out where the plate was supposed to go. Our server noticed and assisted to sort it out. We enjoyed our meal and eventually closed out the place. The ambiance is slightly more bar-like than fancy restaurant, which isn’t what I expected going in, but it works. Overall, good food, but it needs to work out some kinks.

Small Portions! Over priced! Steak was extremely chewy, I felt like I was chewing on a rubber tire! No Thanks.

This was a suprise to me, I hate Italian food from restaurants being Italian myself, it is homemade or nothing. This place made me smile, brought faith back to me. This is a later review so I can’t remember what I had, all I know is we will definitely be returning. Very very well done!

Okay so I am from California(yes boo me now) and I have had many people say that I am very slanted due to this access to great places to eat. We had a group here and they did pretty well. The lasagna was pretty middle of the road as was the pizza(I’m reporting others reports here as I didn’t have any due to diet). I had the meat balls, they were pretty good, nothing to write home about serviceable. My brother-in-law had a grilled salmon and reported it was pretty good. They have a nice larger room overlooking the river, for Pueblo this is pretty good but overall«amazing» and«great» do not pop to mind for this place.

What an amazing nice place. So accommodating and southernly sweet. I’m a Texas Gal… so it takes a lot for me to say that! Wine was great and chicken spaghetti with cognac sauce… PLUS my waitress was awesome. Thanks Angela and Jimmy!

Made a mid Saturday first time visit. Waitress was decent and restaurant wasn’t very busy. Long wait between ordering and food arriving. Our party of 4 polished off the loaf of bed from when we first sat down and because of the long wait for our meals had to ask for a second loaf. Food, once it arrived, was very good. We would go back again.

Great service. Great food. Interesting options. Pretty ambience. Low noise level. We were all very unexpectedly impressed to have good Italian in the middle of Pueblo.

Mangia, Mangia! What can I say, after all it’s Tony Ianne’s family recipes. Always flavor fresh, best ingredients and cooked to perfection. Tony has become a Master in culinary style and taste. Pair that with a hand picked wine list and a well informed staff. If you want to know something about your choice, just ask. From the first step into this ‘Restaurante’ to the desert dejour, a guaranteed fine dining experience will be had by all. Don’t get caught up in the Corporate Italian world when you can enjoy Old World cuisine at it’s finest. I’ll see you there Cuz!

AUTHENTICITALIAN. This place is amazing. From the chic atmosphere, to the unique amazing food– this place is definitely the place to go. They have a great selection of wine along with the best always cooked perfectly pasta. The owner and chef runs his restaurant like a well oiled machine. He’s always so professional and well put together. The servers are so kind, patient and good!!! Noting but good things so say. A must go to to experience Pueblo’s «little Italy»

Used to LOVE their House Sirloin and Red Moscato Pasta. We’d take our out of town guests there for the fabulous warm bread and butter too. Since they’ve moved to The Riverwalk(which is an awesome view for sure) the service has definitely struggled and left desirability for me and the«management“changed the menu and Chefs to the«Mob– Menu” – I’m not the fan I once was! :(sorry! The view is great but you gotta back that up with service, hospitality and of course a great menu full of speciality items to stand out.

I have been to Rosario’s twice before and the experience was good. This time I took my uncle from out of state and the food was okay except for a dish made with a wine sauce but tasted like pure butter. It was less than satisfactory. My uncle who has traveled and lived in several parts of the world, including Europe was quite surprised at the deplorable level of service, the lack of organization behind the bar and up charges for meal adaptations. I was disappointed and will not be back anytime soon.

Definitely one of Pueblo’s best restaurants. The parchment baked Alaskan salmon was elegantly prepared and delicious. The service here is well above the norm for this town.

My husband and I stopped in Pueblo to see the Riverwalk, and decided on Italian by the river. Great choice! The service is great, and the food was excellent. We ordered The Mama’s Meatballs and the Chicken Parmesan, and they were the best we’ve EVER had. The portions are also very large, so be hungry. Unfortunately we didn’t have room for dessert, but we will be back!

Nice décor, good food, good service. A little hard to find, as the front door is about a half-block off of Main Street along the Riverwalk. However, a definite go-to place in my opinion. I was pretty bummed that they no longer serve tiramisu for dessert, as their version was AWESOME. Will definitely return and would recommend with no hesitation.

Stopped here for lunch on our way to Breckenridge. 2 adults and 4 kids. No kids’ menu but they offer kid portions. Roman Salad is delicious. Shared their large pizza and it was huge! Very cheesy with fresh ricotta cheese mounds. Two kids ordered chicken alfredo and loved it. Spent under $ 50 before tip, which is amazing for us. Waitress was great and kept us posted on when the food would come out. We will eat there again!

Had a work event here a couple weeks back and had been there from time to time before then. The food is consistently excellent and I always leave impressed… and full. The décor is very elegant and understated and the Riverwalk location is prime. The gentleman who served me most recently was very friendly and clearly knew the food menu, but couldn’t name a single bourbon they carried. All things considered, I wasn’t too concerned… I settled on a nice Vinho Verde instead and was a happy camper.
