Nothing makes me happier than a little hole-in-the-wall that turns out to be awesome. Looking for somewhere to eat on Friday night in the Valley that doesn’t have a 1.5 hour wait? Look no further! My husband discovered this place a few weeks ago and… well, we’ve eaten here two nights in a row so far. To be fair, I think I still prefer Wild Ginger in terms of the flavor of some of the dishes — for example, the fried rice here is more smokey while WG’s is more buttery — but it’s a pretty dang close call, and Saigon is the cheaper of the two. Despite the name, it has no Vietnamese food(except maybe phở??), but the Chinese is pretty standard and you get a TON of it. Best deal: get the family combo/platter thing. Two people minimum(so you can do it on a date), $ 8.95 per person and you EACH get a soup(egg drop or hot ‘n’ sour), entrée, and egg roll PLUS a shared platter of fried rice and cheese wontons. Holy cow, it is so much food. I tacked a Coke onto my order and it came out to be around $ 21 total for my husband and I, plus tip. Probably the best value in town. Try the pork lo mein. The pork in it is a BBQ style that differs from other Chinese restaurants in the area. The atmosphere is divey and old in a charming sort of way. It’s a family-run establishment and the staff/owners are very friendly and attentive.

My husband and I walked in and ordered to go. Our order was ready within 10 minutes which was really nice. He got the sesame chicken; he liked it. I tried it and thought it was really really good. I ordered the cashew chicken and to be honest I was disappointed with it. It was cooked well but had no flavor whatsoever. I ended up loading it with salt and pulling some sauce out of my fridge to liven it up. I would give it another try though because it may just have been that dish. Servings were big.

Saigon is my go to for Americanized Chinese that gets anywhere near authentic Chinese at all. I’ve had a lot of their food and it’s all really good. Though I know ingredients may not always be fresh, they at least cook it fresh and the taste is almost always spot on. Their combo plates are the best deal you can get… Entrée + ham fried rice + egg roll + soup for $ 6. More food and better taste guaranteed than most Chinese here in Provo and it’ll save you more than going to Panda Express! They do Vietnamese as well, and their not too shabby at spring rolls and phở. Service is nice and we’ve never waited long at all.

I love this place! It’s not the nicest inside but I don’t expect that at the price point. But their food is spot on and service is really good too. One of my favorite asian places ever.

For Provo this is probably the best you’re going to get when it comes to Chinese. If I can get Chinese food without the meat being like jerky, I’m a happy man. Big thumbs up for fresh tasting Chinese!

Great variety of good Chinese food, for not too much. Nothing to really write home about, but your solid Chinese eatery. One of the best in Provo if you ask me.

The best viet/Chinese food I’ve had so far in Provo(granted that’s not saying much). It tastes very similar to what my asian friends’ parents from back home might make if they wanted to cook typical Chinese restaurant food. So good, but not great. Four stars because it’s Provo.

We’re seated immediately, not impressive inside, parking is behind the building and very limited. Egg drop soup was warm, broth was very thick and needed a little kick up with soy sauce. Egg roles are dynamite, wonton soup is enough for 4 adults, it was good and hot and a lot more flavorful than the egg drop. I wish she had told us it was enough for 4, I would not have ordered the egg drop soup. Special Fried Rice was right on, very fresh but needed a little more seasoning for me, so I added a little Sriracha sauce. I’d come back

My husband and I love ordering their delivery. It is always hot, fresh, and never takes a long time to get once we place our order. I like to try something new almost every time we order(which is at least once a week) and I am never disappointed! Large portions at a good price. Love this place!

I LOVE their orange chicken! The prices are really good and you get good portions, too. Usually, I don’t get pot stickers, but I can get enough of them! My friends and I go here at least twice a month as a group. Good stuff.

Affordable, homemade, Chinese food. I love the family run vibe and the extremely affordable prices for huge portions. Is it the best Chinese food in the world? No, but the portion, price, and cute family make it a regular in my list.

One of the three dishes we ordered was very good. Szechuan Beef. The other two were… meh. Biggest beef with the place: THEYHAVENOVIETNAMESEFOOD. Why call it ‘Saigon Café’ if 95% of your menu is Chinese? Vietnamese food is the reason I went. It’s basically a Chinese restaurant. It’s pretty good food. Service is… meh.

PS Do not attempt to eat here, dirty kitchen, they precook food early in the day(thats why it looks fast when they serve you) so its unsanitary plus rude server esp the chinese guy. He told us that the restaurant is closed TWICE although there is still open sign outside. Maybe they should just close forever. If you want to be food poisoned then take the risk. Never coming back!!! If there is a negative star I will give it to this establishment.

We ordered the delivery. The egg drop soup was the consistency of mucus, the chicken egg foo young was… I don’t even know, and the hot and sour soup is not even hot and sour soup. Egg foo young gravy was great, shrimp in the lo mein was remarkable. Overall though, this was just the crappy Chinese takeout we were looking for.

The customer service here is terrible! The last two times I’ve eaten their food, they’ve made mistakes & they don’t apologize for them(one was that they forgot my appetizer & it was to go & they gave me no receipt, so I couldn’t get it – now I always make sure I have my receipt; the other I asked for just beef phở & they gave me the more expensive beef & meatballs & fish and when I told them, they said I already got that & offered no customer service improvement). I have learned from these experiences, but I have definitely eaten there for the last time. Plus, Noodle King has way better phở. Saigon café is just a phở king dump.

Very good service but average food and average atmosphere. Price was reasonable and you did get what you payed for(not overpriced and not underpriced). Server was very nice and accommodating and the wait time for the food was minimal. Food is prepared in a timely manner. I would go back if I was looking for a medium priced and medium quality dinner.

Just went there. Hot and sour soup — worst I’ve EVER had. Seriously. Avoid it. Their lemon chicken was okay. Really confusing parking situation outside.

This is one of the most underrated restaurants in Provo. This is easily the best Chinese restaurant I’ve been to(haven’t been to Asia though…). The food is amazing. The Orange chicken tastes like chicken with fresh oranges squeezed on top. Incredible. The fried rice was really tasty as well. The service isn’t the best… Though nice, they seemed a bit understaffed and unprofessional… But that food though! Environment is pretty ghetto… Cheap, plastic table cloths are not my favorite.

Love love love this place! They located just south of Provo and their price is perfect for college students. The food tastes good and hot served. I love their family deal with different deals to choose from: A, B, C, D. I love A! Other than that, the service is not bad. With the amount of food of the family deals, the time was right. You don’t want to eat at a place where food came out as fast as McDonald! The owner was super nice and greeted us as soon as we walked in the door.
