In all the times I’ve been to Ptown(likely a dozen) I have only walked by Squeling Pig. From the outside looking in the crowd looks very mixed but it’s always packed with smiling faces. On our way back to our rental place we knew we wanted a drink and MAYBE a bite to eat. We luckily found 2 open bar stools waiting for us. The place was packed with ptown goers looking to take the chill out over a drink. We ordered a Pig Punch and boy was that all we needed — it was a strong one(which later made me take a nap!). We were then feeling a little peckish so we grabbed a Caesar salad, buffalo wings, and fries. I wish I saw the parmesan truffle fries on the menu beforehand as they looked incredible. The food was solid and I have no complaints. I appreciate the wide selection of gluten free beer as well! I think this is the perfect spot for the drink and app mid to late afternoon and unwind. Next time I want to try their raw bar with my favorite, Wellfleet oysters!

Fun place to hang out with friends. Great for groups — really good pub menu. Oysters are decent and I really like the fries. I tried a salmon burger and it was quite good — served with a nice heaping of avocado. Decided to try the wings, too… they were also very tasty! Good drink selection and friendly staff. Gets really busy and sometimes there’s a wait. My only issue was that the server disappeared when we needed the check — but he was pretty slammed/“in the weeds”. It wasn’t intentional. Yes — it’s a bar. Yes — it gets loud. And — yes! They have TV’s…so it gets extra noisy when something interesting happens during one of the games on one of those TV’s… Enjoy.

Pub atmosphere. Solid food. Ordered a dark and stormy and cosmo. Both were excellent. Low key dinner with good arugula salad. Also, ordered the squealing pig burger with cheese. Bf loved the burger. Great fries. Perfect evening to relax and hang out.

Somewhat disturbing name. But hey, Provincetown is a generally outrageous place, and the food here is really good. I got the chicken pesto sandwich, something I try at basically every restaurant that serves it, and it was served on hearty slices of Texas Toast-style bread with fries and was very scrumptious, yet not too much. Important note: it’s served with actual pesto instead of just pesto mayo, and this, in my book, is the mark of a good chicken pesto sandwich. My friend got a platter of fried shrimp, haddock, and scallops and declared it some of the best seafood she’d ever had. Naturally, I had to try, and she was right– it was tender but not chewy, had a slight burst of fresh lemon, and wasn’t too greasy or heavy. Great service, and a good beer/wine list as well. It’s not far from the ferry dock. We would return!

My friend and I had lunch here. I had the avocado BLT and she had the fried chicken. Both were good and came with home made fries. Chicken was simply fried but hot, crisp, and tasty. BLT was served on a substantial roll with fresh slices of perfect avocado and crisp bacon. It was a little skimpy on the bacon but good nonetheless. We enjoyed our choices. Service was friendly and reasonable in terms of wait time. As for drinks my friend tried the white sangria and I had the piggy punch(tastes like a strong piña colada but without the coconut.) both were good but be forewarned the piggy punch is pretty potent. Overall I recommend this place. It’s a great lunch stop.

Solid little place to grab a bite and a beer with friendly service and a casual atmosphere. This was our first stop after the ferry landed and I was still feeling a bit green so I wanted something to put in my stomach right away. We were immediately sold on the Tuscan fries and they didn’t disappoint. We also shared a toastie and I’d have to say I was not the biggest fan — the problem may have been the Gorgonzola not tasting so great to me since I was feeling a bit off. I probably should have stuck with something more neutral. The beer list was okay and the oyster prices were fantastic(sadly I didn’t enjoy any that day). The bartender was friendly and attentive and we really felt like regulars when we popped up to the bar. I can certainly see why this place is so popular. Hoping to make a return trip for those Tuscan fries again and a lobster toastie!

A solid 3 stars. Had I been in the right frame of mind or maybe had ordered something with the potential to blow me away, I’d probably give it more. But I was very very tired from driving/walking/biking all over the Cape all day and I had just finished climbing a helluva steep sand dune on Race Point Beach. I wanted to relax and I wanted good food. Ptown was close so we rode into town, drove in circles for awhile looking for parking, looked at Unilocal, picked this place based on rating, and hiked to it. I probably should have chosen somewhere else if I wanted to relax. It was so loud between the blaring music and the people packed into the place. We were seated at a tiny table between the bar and a large party of obnoxious woo girls.(HIMYM reference, google if confused.) The waiter yelled at us and we yelled back. Sometimes we understood each other and sometimes not. I was a bit peeved that the soft drinks and such were not free refills. I don’t see that often, and normally it wouldn’t bother me, but I was freaking thirsty. Our food was pretty good though. I got a big chicken caesar salad that was filling and hit the spot, and the hubby got a fish sandwich. I had a bite and it was crunchy on the outside and perfect on the inside. Practically melted in your mouth. Still, I feel like we way overpaid for what we got. It was nearly $ 50 tip included for a fish sandwich, a salad, and 2 non alcoholic drinks. That’s too much. I think I could have handled this place at lunchtime, but not at dinner. Not that day anyways. Still, it wasn’t bad.

Fish and chips, so many ways it can be done. When i found out it was haddock, i was a bit resigned — but this one broke the streak of haddock as not good for me. The fish was light and juicy with a great mild batter. The fried chicken was great also as when not eating seafood, i love my fried chicken. It could use a bit more seasoning for my taste buds but next time i still bring along my honey bear. Caesar salad was fresh as expected. The seafood chowder was smoky as advertised with some good lightly toasted white bread on the side. Great ambience, food and service.
