some of the best fish tacos on the Cape. Real nice/friendly people who run it. i’d recommend it!

Unbelievable delicious fish tacos and chowder. One woman shop so you need to wait for her to come out from the kitchen to place your order and then another wait for her to cook it, 10 min total, but it is worth the wait.

Went to Native Cape Cod Seafood while in Provincetown for the week. Ordered the whole belly clam platter. I do know whole belly clams are pricey, but this was absolutely ridiculous. At $ 27 and change(I believe it was a dollar or two more but not completely sure), I expected more than SIX(!!) clams on a mountain of fries. Plus, the wait was over the top. I was with a group of friends, all of whom ordered from other food stands, and all were already seated outside, eating, when I finally received my meager order. When I did finally sit down, every one of them was shocked at what I had been served. Sure, I could have complained to the kid at the register, but what could she have done? I didn’t bother simply because it would have been a waste of my time. I mentioned this place to a few locals after the fact, EVERYSINGLEONEOFTHEM said had they known I was even considering this place, they all would have told me to avoid it at all costs. I go to Provincetown very regularly, a few times per year and won’t ever both with this place again. There are a TON of places you can choose from. Don’t let this be one of them.

Don’t waste your hard earned money! Caulk board at entrance advertised several mussel specials… It draws you in only to hear they have no mussels! Take down the sign or erase the chalk board if you can’t serve what you advertise. But, drawn in and hungry I ordered the fish and chips platter. How sad… Very small portion of fish… It was basically a French fry platter for almost $ 20. Quite a disappointment considering you can walk down the street to Bayside Betsey’s and get a great portion for the same price… If you are looking for seafood… Move on and skip this place!

Do yourself a flavour: do not order the Fisherman Platter. We ordered a Fisherman Platter($ 29) for lunch. The portion was big enough for two. The food quality was disappointing, given that fresh shellfish was easily available at the Cape. Shrimps tasted like frozen shrimps, and they were hard to the bite. The scallops had gone bad; we both could taste the odd flavour. The squids were Chewy with a capital C. The only passable items were the fish fillets. Given the price was similar to restaurants food, the low quality had nothing to do with low profit margin or high rent. There is simply no reason to order any subpar food at a food court/ The only saving grace was the friendliness of the cashier, and the pleasant patio seating.

Hands down the best tasting seafood I had in P-Town last week. My partner and I had the littleneck clam scampi three days in a row, we loved it so much. They even made a special order for us the day it was off the menu. Great steamers and clam chowder as well.

This place has the most impeccably fresh local seafood. Andrew harvests a lot of the shellfish himself. He gets the rest from trusted local fishermen, and whatever is the best and freshest each day makes it onto the menu. The chef is new this year, and the food is better than ever. The view out over Provincetown Harbor is unparalleled, and being out in the open air the noise around you is minimal. You can easily have a real conversation here. This is the first place I always send people who want good seafood at a reasonable price in a seaside resort. Sometimes I get what may seem like a smaller serving than I might have had before, but that is a function of the daily market prices for fresh seafood. Some days a particular fish will cost more than it did the day before, some days less, so prices can fluctuate a bit. I write TheYearRounder’s Guide to Provincetown, and this place has won one of my ‘Best Bite’ awards three times in three years. Here’s a link to what I wrote about them this spring, when they introduced their Portuguese Stew, . I’m writing this because the number of complaints here doesn’t match my experience in eating at Native Cape Cod Seafood again and again. They have occasionally screwed up my order, but English is a second language for a lot of employees in Provincetown. Don’t complain on these review sites if you haven’t told the restaurant you were unhappy. Give them a chance to fix it. Mistakes will happen sometimes, but Andrew will make it right. And the seafood he delivers is second to none for the combination of variety, freshness, skillful preparation and price that is fair.

My partner and I went to this place after the carnival. We ordered the fisherman’s platter and it costs us $ 30? There were 3 shrimps.2 scallops. few rings and 3 tentacles. and few fries. It was soggy, rubbery and over cooked. Over priced. It’s not worth it. Do yourself a favor… DONOTORDERTHISPLATTER!

Left my cash in the car so I was looking for a quick bite where I could use a credit card. The woman taking orders was friendly and welcoming. The food… Wow, gross. Who adds salt to fried shrimp after it’s been fried. I can see the salt on top. $ 20 for 7 small pieces of fried shrimp, burnt fries, and tasteless cole slaw? They ought to be ashamed to serve that while surrounded by the ocean. Just gross. I’m so happy I didn’t order fried clams as I initially thought I would. $ 24 for probably the same quality. I are the shrimp, a few of the fries, and two bites of coleslaw. Provincetown is such a popular destination. It’s a shame so many eateries feel like they can serve subpar food to unknowing tourists. I’ve learned the good places to go over the years but every year I try to branch out. This year was a flop.

Yummy locally sourced food ! Native Cape Cod is situated next to the Aqua Bar which allows customers to use the bar area overlooking the bay to enjoy their food. We ordered a hot lobster roll and a garden salad with a side of fries and it did not disappoint. The roll was full of juicy lobster and the size was just right for two to share. It was a very pleasant way to have lunch with a cheeky beer from Aqua bar. This will not disappoint. Enjoy !!

I came here for my birthday dinner with my bf we ordered steamed clams in white wine with no sausage) it was 10 or 12 clams for 18 dollars!!! We also got fried calamari(another very skimp portion maybe 6 greasy rings and three tentacles) and lobster bisque no lobster in the bisque just lots of cream. We paid 41 dollars and we left starving we had to go to another place to eat dinner again. I was sooo disappointed! This place is a true rip off please Save your hard earned cash and go somewhere else!!!

Fresh local seafood with an ocean view. We had a nice lunch at native cape cod seafood. I got the fish tacos, grilled sea bass. It was good and fresh, with a nice corn lime salsa. The portion was a tad small for the price point of $ 12.00 for 2 small tacos. You get to eat outside on picknick tables over looking the harbor.

Wanted to love this place after reading the reviews here. Great view, nice counter service. They had mis-prepared a dish(added sauce when it was supposed to be on the side), noticed the mistake before serving us and redid it apologizing for the wait! That goes far in my book! The fish tacos weren’t great — poor presentation and not so flavorful. I would give this place another shot. Maybe the tacos just weren’t our taste.

A fantastic place for REALLY fresh and delicious seafood. A takeout place but put in your order and the staff will bring your food to you as you soak up some rays and enjoy the lively crowd out on the deck. Andrew, the owner, goes out of his way to make sure everyone is happy with their meal. Generous portions. Fried items are in a light batter, and there are plenty of other options as well if fried food is not your thing.

The native fish pocket was probably one of the most delicious things I’ve had. A fat fish taco on grilled tortilla with corn salsa, black beans, cilantro and amazing sauce. The lobstah roll was HUGE and so good. We ate lunch on the deck over looking the ocean. Truly epic. Yum!

We were navigating the streets of Provincetown looking for a lunch spot. My first choice, Canteen, was closed so I started to panic. I didn’t have a Plan B. We walked a bit further and noticed a patio with a fabulous view of the harbour. Just before we stepped onto the patio was Native Cape Cod Seafood. We decided to chance it and grab some lunch. Our order — lobster roll with fries($ 18.95) and a cup of clam chowder($ 7). We nabbed the last cup of chowder for the day and I’m so glad we didn’t miss out because it was very good. I finished it while waiting for our lobster roll. The lobster roll was massive… stuffed to the top with meat. Fries were fresh cut — awesome! Grabbed a few Cape Cod beers($ 6) from the bar on the patio and had a fantastic lunch overlooking the harbour. Hurray for Plan B!

What a VIEW! Business may also be called ‘the Aqua Bar’ but the sidewalk menu sign has Native Local Seafood at the top, hence the confusion. Either way it’s down the small sky covered open ended restaurant tunnel, on the right across from the gelato stand. Here you order and pay for food upfront usually, however the food my parents ordered later they began a tab for us. Very simple business appearance but don’t be mistaken, I ordered 24 yummy bayside raw oysters but got 27 w lots of lemons per my request for only 40 $. A bowl of fresh yet decent clam chowder was $ 7 but came in paper. That’s okay except for gale winds nearly blew it into a customer besides us on the amazing view patio deck. Watch for wind! Mother had lobster pasta for 19 $, loaded with lob meat. Father had the hearty fisherman plate 25 $ calamari just lightly fried how I LOVE it, fries, large scallops, lite fried cod, shrimp. It was all a considerable amount of food value. Patio Bartender was quite flamboyant, which is always fine except he seemed more interested In being noticed and grooving to ambiance music than actually serving up drinks, so I left the steady line to enjoy water. Would certainly eat there often if I were local. Rope lights come on at sunset.

We had been in Provincetown for a couple of days and were feeling a bit saturated on lobster rolls and junk food. We were really craving some fresh, healthy seafood. We stumbled upon this place while getting a gelato across the way and decided to come back later for dinner. This place is run by a nice gentleman who’s name I can’t remember and his young daughter who was taking our order. They both were helpful and friendly. The food: I got the Hake(a flakey, mild, cod-like fish), grilled with rice pilaf and salad. The fish was cooked perfectly and I actually tasted the fish which I had been missing over the past couple of days. The salad was good and the dressings were homemade, as well as the tarter sauce. My partner got the blue fish, blackened with hand cut french fries and a salad. Again, perfectly cooked, fresh, and tasty. The fries were some of the best I’ve had. And best of all, you take your food out to this amazing deck which overlooks the water and eat your dinner in the fresh, beautiful outdoor air. Super great experience, would definitely come back.

I can’t believe I am the first one to review. This is a takeout place, but when you get your order, you can take your dinner out to the deck overlooking the bay, and get a beer to go with it from Aqua Bar. I got the special Swordfish and Chorizo Stew over Wild Rice. I paired it with a Sam Summer, a view of the bay and I was thrilled. It was absolutely delicious. They have a full menu of fresh seafood and went back for the fried clams and calamari that were delicious. A great casual waterfront dining experience.
