I am a huge fan of Mr. Lemon. I will admit that I go too often, but the staff members are so friendly– they know what I do for a living and always ask me how my day has been. Besides the kindness of the staff, I think Mr. Lemon has the best frozen lemonade in the state. I’m not sure how they make it(one time I asked and they didn’t like that) but I think they blend in the flavoring to the ice in a more efficient way than Del’s does. It’s a finer crushed ice and the flavor is better disbursed. The Lemon and Watermelon flavors are consistently excellent but I also really enjoy their weekly«specials.» Get them while you can!

This place has been around for as long as I can remember… My dad will tell you think same thing. It’s a small unassuming Building so you may miss it when you drive by … Do yourself a favor and slow down so you don’t ! It’s a family owned placed and the continue to use the same family recipe. They have the usual flavors but offer other daily. The new flavors are on their Facebook Page. I love the watermelon. It’s not sugary sweet and is refreshing. I love it here and it’s always on my summer bucket list. No summer is complete without at least one visit to Mr Lemon !

Just go. Just do it! Consistency is key! And I am not just talking about the stellar people that run the place. The actual consistency of Mr. Lemon’s lemonade is like a drinkable ice. I can’t really describe it. Just delectable. Prices have gone up. $ 3 for a medium, $ 1 for a small. But quality + friendliness come at a very well-deserved price!

Tried this place for the first time today and loved it! I love Del’s, but hearing about this place from a friend, I figured I’d give it a try. It did not disappoint! I got a medium($ 3), which was a totally satisfying portion size and a great deal for what I paid. They don’t accept credit cards, so bring cash. I ordered the lemon meringue flavor(lemon/vanilla) and it was great. Slightly different consistency than Del’s(finer ice without the little flecks of lemon in it), but I actually preferred it. And the owner was so sweet and friendly. Mr. Lemon is a delicious, local summer treat and I will definitely be coming here again!

Bad customer service, would not give me a spare cup(cheap on them). They don’t take credit cards, and the tuti frutti was just okay.

I guess because it’s a nostalgic neighborhood treat everybody loves it. Beside that, the«lemonade» isn’t all that great. It’s cool they have different flavors but I’m pretty sure it’s all artificial. You can hardly taste the flavors, it’s like a sugar high. It’s more like a slushy I would say. No fresh lemonade taste. The prices I think are a bit much. Your making flavored ice with Dixie cups, what can your costs really be? Located in the ghetto of providence, what kid has $ 3 for a lemonade? When you ask for a small they immediately show you the size of the cup and say«this is a small is that ok». I get it, your trying to up sale, but cmon, $ 3 after a $ 1 tiny Dixie cup. No happy medium.

As mentioned by many, staff is insanely friendly. With service aside, we will explore the beverage/treat itself. The ultimate question will be Mr. Lemon or Del’s. Here is a breakdown: Mr.Lemon’s ice is finely crushed, so the beverage is like a slush feeling. Truly is great to enjoy on a fine summer day because of its consistency. The flavoring isn’t that great though. It seems like Mr. Lemon crushed the ice and just added artificial flavoring to the ice. Not of big fan of artificial flavoring. It is pretty cool that you can mix the flavors though! Del’s, on the other hand, has crushed ice that isn’t as fine as Mr. Lemon, but in Del’s you can actually taste the Lemon! Sadly, Del’s only has one selection(lemon), whereas Mr. Lemon has different flavors to select from(Mango, watermelon, lemon, mix, etc.).

Del’s or Mr. Lemon? Simple, there’s only one Mr. Lemon. Plus ML is somehow colder, a lot sweeter and dropping by is a much more personal experience than the RI chain. With a vast selection of flavors to choose from and ridiculously pleasant service(which may amount to the most genuinely friendly small talk in the entire city), this small shack on Hawkins Street — whose Appian Street-facing side boasts a hand-painted lemon doing his best Mr. Peanut impression, while holding a giant stop sign — continually beckons customers, young and old and keeps them smiling, cool and coming back for more, season after season. For me, the choice of what to get is always a snap. Come on, there’s a reason why it’s not called Mr. Tuttifrutti — I will have a $ 3 lemon please.

while meandering, we passed Mr. Lemon. It was clear we had to find time to investigate. The Unilocal reviews confirmed that under the dapidated exterior, in a modest residential area was a gem! Walking up, the stream of satisfird customes ened with a glad greeting, «how is yur day going»! The slushie brought back fond old memories, complete with a subtle lemon zest. Defiinitely worth the effort to seek out their lemon slushie!

This is my first review ever. I decided to not just check in to Mr. Lemon. How could I? This is one of my favorite past times. Ever since I was a small child and my older brother introduced it to me, it has been a summer tradition for me. It makes my summer complete. It goes right along with RI beaches, sand, pools, heat, summer dresses. I schedule visiting my family in RI all the way from VA around Mr. Lemon as they are not year round. I absolutely adore the owners, they are like family to me. They ask about my entire family every time I visit. Mr. Lemon keep up the good work, you’re on my summer bucket list every single year.

16 years after I ordered my first cup of Tuti Fruti, Mr. Lemon is still just as popular as ever. Their frozen lemonade is still better than any other I’ve had, including Del’s. This is a mom and pop operation that has low prices and is a fixture in the neighborhood. It’ll only take a couple trips for them to remember you, and«Mr. Lemon» will always make you feel welcome.

I could go to Mr. Lemon everyday. I did not think I was going to like them better than I like Del’s, but I did. Our first trip there, I fell in love with the lemon flavor. My husband got the watermelon and that was delicious and sweet. The kids got a blueberry and watermelon mix and also vanilla. My son loved the blueberry watermelon mix, but pay attention to the board because the flavors change. The friendliness of the owners is something we don’t see too often anymore. They speak to everyone with such kindness and genuineness. I absolutely love them and their business. Enjoy a great treat and know that you are supporting an awesome small business.

Awesome awesome place! Owners treat you as if your part of there family, and there lemon flavor doesnt even compare to Del’s. Its smooth, and tastes so good. Location sucks only because theres no parking lot. Youll have to park down the street then walk there if its really busy. Prices are good too. You get what you pay for.

During the summer months you will find many cars parked along side this seemingly residential street corner. With customers running over to stop by this little«shed-like» take-out window. At the window front you will see an ever changing selection of frozen flavors to choose from and wacky combos that tastes equally as good. The price is pretty cheap and reasonable for the large amount of sweet slush you get. It is a bit on the sugary side but is still undeniably good even if you don’t have much of a sweet tooth. The owners/operators are extremely friendly, cheerful and take pride in what they serve up. Which is always refreshing to see.(Ha. See what I did there?) While your making your selection don’t forget to take a quick peek at the inside of the service window. They have pictures covering every inch of the walls, random toys hanging from the ceilings and a large vintage red M&M statue in the back. Kinda cool. If your out with your kids or friends on a hot summer day, try this place out! You won’t regret it. If you do, hey, more frozen lemonade for me!

After all of the hullabaloo, I finally decided to try Mr. Lemon. To be honest, it was ok. Nothing mind-blowing but definitely a change from the usual lemon flavors. Heres’ what I loved: — The people that own this place are just so sweet and awesome. You can tell that this place is a labor of love. — The crazy flavors. I can’t even remember what I ordered but I’m pretty sure it was 4 different colors. — You get a lot for your money. Here’s what was meh: — The location is wicked sketchy. — …like wicked sketchy. If you’re looking for something different on a hot summer day, check out Mr. Lemon. I think every Rhode Islander should experience it once.
