Hmmmmmm. This place is so in the middle for me. I ordered the appetizer lobster risotto. First of all, the portion size on this is huge. The lobster was tasty, but the risotto was under cooked. My friend ordered grilled colossal shrimp and it was awful. The pesto on the top was gross in my opinion, and I love pesto normally. The asparagus was dried out and the potatoes were super oily. Very mediocre restaurant. I gave 3 stars simply for the location next to the river, nothing else was worthy of 3 stars.

We took customers from Out of town. They enjoyed the food. I had Lobster ravs with scallops. Excellent. Service was good.

We had dinner here tonight after playing at Escape Providence. And a wonderful dinner it was! Everything that the six of us had was delicious. My husband and I shared ahi tuna and shrimp on skewers and the beet salad(which had fresh capers in it… Never saw one before.) The entire meal was a culinary delight. I have no idea what the reviewers who gave this place bad reviews were talking about, because it was really phenomenal. The wait staff were friendly and attentive and prompt. The food was out of this world, cooked perfectly. The atmosphere was clean and attractive. What more could one want? Go here; you won’t be disappointed!

Went to Mile and a Quarter this afternoon after the movies at Cable Car. What a terrific restaurant. Very reasonably priced with a varied and interesting menu. Can’t figure out any of the negative reviews. This is a solid restaurant with good food and terrific service.

The only reason I’m giving this place two stars is that the waterfront location is quite nice and the wait-staff is friendly. Other than that — the food is entirely forgettable. We had a pizza and a pasta. Pizza was ok and the pasta was downright bad. Cocktails we ordered were too sweet and syrupy.

My husband and I split two appetizers and a large salad. It was plenty for us. Point Judith calamari was excellent! Beef appetizer and salad were also very good. The service was on point. The place is very nice inside. You can’t beat a clean white tablecloth. The owner introduced himself to us, he was very nice and funny. We will definitely be back.

Excellent — the food was great, and the service was outstanding! The portions were large with reasonable prices. And, my favorite, the wine list was nice and long :). Perfect date night. We sat in the dining room, but they have a nice big bar area too. We will have to stop back for a happy hour. The only weird thing was the case when you first walk in. It has display dishes in it, and reminded me of a chain or a diner. Kind of strange for a nice restaurant, but of course not a big deal at all. I was just confused, why do they have that? Has anyone else noticed?

My boyfriend and I decided to try this restaurant over the weekend. It was pretty quiet for a Friday night so my expectations were low but I was blown away. Our waitress was friendly and honest which are the two qualities I look for in waitstaff. I ordered the paella and my boyfriend had a filet with a lobster cream sauce. The paella was delicious and very fresh but I wish I had ordered the filet for myself! Despite being full, we ordered a dessert to share and I don’t regret it for a second. The cookie sundae was the best I’ve ever had. I wish I could live in a tub of the salted caramel ice cream. I was so impressed by the food and service that I convinced my family to book reservations for the Easter brunch. I can’t wait to go back.

I live close by, but never went to Mile and A Quarter. This past winter a group of us(12) had dinner there. Our orders were complicated and many asked to substitutions. Our Waiter Jay didn’t blink an eye. He made some great suggestions on what were the better options. Our food arrived hot, fresh and extremely delicious. A great time was had by all. Last night, a few coworkers when to enjoy there Appy Hour specials(Jay mentioned them on my previous night). Again, Service was flawless and entertaining and the food was not only a GREAT value, but also delicious. I can’t wait to go back!

When did it become ok to put«I can’t believe it’s not butter» in a piping bag? Avoid the tuna carpaccio special. It tasted like something they picked up from Almacs on the way into work. Seriously… Carpaccio is thin sliced, not a 3/8″ slab of yesterday’s tuna. Come to think of it, I’m not even sure it was tuna. It was a red that spoke more of the dyes used than the fish from whence it came. The beef carpaccio was a bit better, though again I wouldn’t be surprised if it came from the deli counter, with a generous helping of salt. I ordered the veal parmesian, usually a safe bet anywhere. In 40 years of dining, no one has ever served me wagon wheel rigatoni, so I’m not sure what it actually tastes like when well-prepared. This was heavy, bland, and gummy, as if it had been sitting around for a while. The veal was OK, but just OK — thin, a bit dried out, and a tad crunchy. The sauce was watery and not of a steady consistency. The bill came to almost $ 90 with two entrees, two appetizers, and a soda. With all the great restaurants in Providence, there is no reason to go back.

I came here on a business meeting with my colleagues and I was fairly pleased with the food and service, but there were too many small details to keep this establishment from a 4-star review. Our meeting took place on the second floor of the establishment, which is fairly open, with a nice island bar, multiple table seating options, and generally well lit. Unfortunately, we came here on one of the coldest days in winter, and one of the windows was shattered and had a cardboard covering, of which I can guarantee did not keep the skin-tearing cold wind from coming in. The appetizers were ok… but I was not a big fan of the pot-stickers and the eggplant rollatnini was cold and overly fried. The service was fairly typical, but the bartender was very kind and went out of her way to help out during the dinner meeting. The overall food was okay… the cod was a bit bland and dry; the steak tips were definitely chewy and tasted burnt; the risotto had an incredibly alcoholic aftertaste. The tiramisu dessert was quite tasty and I’m more upset at myself at the size portions since I ate all of it and it was quite large. Outside the food, I will mention that the upstairs men’s room felt like an abused men’s room at a bar, with a busted urinal, absence of trash bins and markers on the wall. I hate to say that I had a bad meal, since it was paid for, but there were a lot of areas that needed improvements. Food: 3 stars Service: 3 stars Ambiance: 2 – 3 stars

Food was good but service was insanely slow. Ordered the chicken prov but took like an hour to get to me. My server was great though! I don’t understand why either. It was like they had no idea that we were waiting for a long time. Order the espresso martini but get the chocolate ONTHEINSIDE!

The food was just ok, nothing special it was bland and underdone. The atmosphere was dull, I felt like I would have enjoyed it if I was smoking a cigar and this was the 80’s.

Amazing! We went for dinner and everything was FLAWLESS. The location, décor, and the service were all superb, but the food was otherworldly! The calamari and mussels zuppa were delicious, and the salmon and Chilean sea bass entrées were amazing. Can’t wait to go back.

I didn’t dine here, just stopped by for some drinks one night. It’s lovely inside, beautifully decorated and a more upscale place to have dinner in. It’s just too quiet at the bar, not enough music. After thinking the rest of the night would be spent music-less there, to my surprise the music was finally turned on. 10:30 at night. Techno but nothing new or original. Plus side: parking was easy to find. Overall, it’s a nice and classy place perfect to catch up with a friend or for a fancier dinner date.

What a great spot!!! The parking was plenty which is a nice change in down town providence. Went here for a company Xmas party and Laura, our waitress, was AMAZING!!! She was funny, super fast, and gave us a drink on the house just because. Back in the office the next day the entire staff thought this place was a perfect choice! Thank you Laura for making out 2015 year end party great!!!

A delicious and appealing place to have a nice dinner out in. The menu is simple but some very good selections. The butternut squash ravioli was fantastic and I’d recommend it to anyone. Also, the point Judith calamari also makes for a tempting appetizer. Delicious.

Yum! Went here last night for dinner! They have the best sangria on earth! I got chicken Marsala and it was yummy! Reason they didn’t get five stars from me my chicken wasn’t completely cooked. They took it back immediately and cooked it to perfection! Service was great and on a Saturday there was no wait we were impressed! We will definitely be back.

While service was wonderful, attentive yet professional, there are so many other restaurants that are better in the area. The two pasta dishes we had were oddly bland with a lack of seasoning in both the sauce and the actual pasta. And while I love a place that understands al dente pasta this was bordering on crunchy. I’ll be going back to my other favorite restaurants if I feel like pasta again.

Can’t say I was disappointed can’t say I was«WOWED» hence the 3 star rating. Nice quaint area with good parking. Spacious, nicely decorated place. Service was pleasant and attentive. So far so good. Now to the food. Plate presentation could be better, my plate was over crowed. My guest’s plate had homemade pasta that was a bit on the al dents side. All and all not bad but definitely could use a bit of improvements. Would I come back. TBD!
