Perfect. I’m not just saying this because my good friend works there, the sushi is wonderful AND affordable. Me and a couple friends walk over there every week or so to say hi and grab some beautifully presented food. In all, this is just my opinion, but I feel that people should consider other opinions and just because people go there once and hate it doesn’t mean it’s bad every time. I go there about once a week or once every two weeks and it was good every single time.

This place serves good sushi. However, the salads are not good – the textures and quality is poor. The chief complaint though is the service. The waitresses barely speak English and are curt, short, and somewhat rude. Will keep going for proximity to work, but the service after a couple of visits proves to be quite lacking.

I have never been so please with a sushi joint in my life. Especially for the area. $ 20 all you can eat [$ 23 on weekends]. I order mostly sashimi to see if the fish is good quality and it really holds up. Everything from white tuna to albacore to salmon is solid and fresh tasting. Even the kitchen menu is incredible. Kani and Seaweed Salads are out of this world. Incredible chicken, fish and pork katsu/teriyaki. And the tempura shrimp and chicken is fantastic. They bring out everything super fast and you end up really getting your money’s worth if you stick to sashimi. But the rolls are fantastic as well. I found this place a month ago and have already been 5 times. Will be back many more times. Good jobs guys!

They charged me 50 dollars for 2 rolls of sushi that was made very loose and everything was falling out. Also the rolls had 6 pieces. Don’t go here scammed me because I looked like a tourist. Last the rolls were simple California rolls nothing fancy or nothing. Don’t go here.

Family favorite, a great experience everytime. We prefer this location because its close to home, and seems less hectic than their other spots. Love this because there’s so much variety and… AYCE sashimi whatttt. White tuna is my favorite followed by eel. We also pick a few rolls of sushix as well as gorge on udon, teriyaki, shrimp tempura,.seaweed salad and ice cream. Their vanilla taste weird but red bean! The order always comes out staggered but fast, with great timing. As soon as we finish stuffing ourselves, a new round of plates come in, followed by the main entrée on a fancy giant dish. Never had any issues with waiting time or staff. Never any messed up orders either… and we always leave with satisfied tummies. :)

It’s still a cute place tucked away in another jersey strip mall. Hadn’t been here in awhile and my son n I were craving mass amounts of sushi. It’s considered all you can eat. Thwy seat you and hand you two menus one for the kitchen and one for the sushi bar. Each person checks off the items they want from salad, soup apps, sushi, tempura, teriyaki items and even dessert. When you are done eating you order more till you’re stuffed. Lunch during the week runs about $ 20. Which normally runs you two possibly three awesome quality sushi rolls. Their sushi was decent not holy crap but we did find a few favorite rolls. Their fish is fresh nothing sits. Rice of course, a little dryer than normal could’ve been moister and fluffier. I started off with Kani salad which was decent could’ve used a little more flavor. Son ordered miso which he said was pretty good I ordered mushroom soup it was good but had a taste I couldn’t place. We had bbq squid which was a little tough but okay. Then crab tempura which was real crab– bonus and sweet potato and tofu tempura. Edamame for him and tofu teriyaki. The rolls edison, spicy crab, spicy tuna, princeton and yummy yummy. The edison was our favorite both in agreement. So if you’re in the area definitely worth a check in for lunch to fulfill your sushi craving.

I stopped in here for a quick bite — not realizing that they offered an «all you can eat» option as the big draw. It was a weekday and late for lunchtime, but the place was busy and there were five — count ‘em — five sushi chefs busily working their craft. I ordered the lunch special with a choice of three maki, soup, and salad. The miso soup and salad were typical; the makis were just dandy. My selections were yellowtail with scallion, spicy tuna, and avocado with tofu skin. All items were attractively presented and fresh. What more could I ask for? I look forward to stopping in to try the all-you-can-eat option when I have my «eating shoes» on(as my dad used to say). Usually, a regular order of something in a restaurant is more than«all I can eat!»

Friends recommended that we go to Sushi Palace for dinner. We started off with the Edamame and the spicy seaweed salad. Both were good but the spicy seaweed salad was exceptionally good. I’ve had many a seaweed salad in my time, but this one was very unique with additional ingredients including, I believe, imitation crab meat. It was delicious and all five of us found it tasty. For dinner we ordered a Maki combo B and a Sashimi combo as well as a shrimp tempura roll and a sweet potato roll. I’m not allowed to eat raw fish, so I ate the shrimp tempura roll and the sweet potato roll. I enjoyed them both. The rest of the group found the combo sushi platters good. The prices are relatively inexpensive. There is room for improvement in the service — it’s a bit slow and seemed a little disjointed.

WATCHOUT — if you go on a busy night, you will wait 45 minutes to an hour for each order of food you put in(back to 1 star). quiet easy atmosphere(went close to closing time) and-no rush service. fair-quality fish prepared by a discerning chef tonight. —-EDIT — — coming back last weekend(quick, i know) since this *was* on WATCH list, and unfortunately we’re back to one star. literally every table around us is talking about how«this always happens»… we’re waiting 45 minutes, then an hour for our first order of food to arrive. i’m literally getting my wallet and phone to get up and leave when the manager(see my last review for«velociraptor lady») comes over to say that our food was mistakenly taken to another table. i find out quickly that the table next to us actually steals our food from the server because they waited so long! HAHAHAHAHAHA! see the other ###‘s below… — — — — — - after my experience of vomiting in the parking lot last time(see my previous review if you want to learn about Velociraptor Certification), and having found nearby sushi king closed before their displayed closing time, I ventured back. yeah, i know. welcome back from oblivion, folks. maybe my friends who recommended this place were right in recommending it. maybe not. i had to edit my review and take this one off my double-x blacklist after my experience the other night. ### yes, there were flies and bugs on the walls, and the manager went around with the electronic tennis racket buzzing them ### yes, my plastic water glass had a hole in the bottom of it and there was water all over the table and booth after a minute ### yes, the second plate of sushi prepared by a different guy was a hot mess, thrown at the plate, but… *** my first fearful order of one piece each, sashimi, was delightful. prepared carefully, fish didn’t stink, and the veg/garnish wasn’t rancid * the seaweed salad was relatively fresh, and tasty * the mushroom soup, though basically hot water with raw mushrooms thrown in, was fresh and light. ** the bbq squid had a nice smoky flavor and was not rubbery or chewy ** the squid tempura was flaky and hot, mild flavor it could be this one chef — who i will *DEFINITELY* be looking for next time, and insist on sitting in front of him at the bar — but it definitely deserves to come off the double-x. it could also be the time i went, which was 9:15pm, NOT on a weekend night. no longer on watch list.

There’s a reason the AYCE sushi here is so cheap. We came around 9pm(45 minutes before the kitchen closes) on Sunday. We put in our order and got the seaweed, spicy seaweed, seafood soup, assorted sashimi and sushi pieces, some rolls, and some katsu. Everything was pretty average. The seafood soup only had imitation crab meat and a lot of veggies in it. The sashimi and sushi was at a weird temperature, which really makes me question how safe it is to eat. Half way into our meal we saw a spider enjoying its crawl across the ground… Not thinking too much(since Jersey is basically a forest) I let it be. But honestly, looking back I should’ve told management. I don’t go to jersey too often, but if I am back, you won’t find me here

Good place, service is fast for the most part but this place gets really packed for dinner and on weekends so don’t expect the fastest service. I always do the all you can eat, cause you know, who doesn’t like to show off how much you can eat The spicy seaweed salad is the best seaweed salad I’ve ever had and I always get it here. Highly recommended

30 min wait for first entrée to be served. Place is not busy/full. Been here before with great results. Today was a truly disappointment.

Love this place. My friends always come here or another sushi palace for an end of the semester celebration. We always get at least 50 pieces of salmon along with 40 other pieces of different types of sashimi, whatever we’re feeling that day. Spicy seaweed salad is awesome. Get some extra spicy mayo to mix with that. The gyoza is pretty tasty too, I’d shy away from eating too many appetizers though because it doesn’t leave you much more room for the good stuff. Service obviously isn’t super fast since this place is pretty busy, but they give you fat pieces of sashimi and don’t try and fill you up on rolls before they bring out the sashimi. The waiters are generally pretty nice and try to help you out whenever you need them(getting new menus, drinks, putting your cake into the freezer for you, etc.) All in all this is definitely a place I’ll come back to. Plan to come with a BIG group so you can get a lot of different things and not have to eat 6 pieces of one type of sushi. Also don’t expect it to be the greatest sushi you’ve ever eaten. It’s an all you can eat sushi place! But honestly for the money it’s the best you can get ;)

Time for an update to my(much) earlier review. Know this before you go here… The sushi is very fresh & delicious; it gets very crowded on weekend nights; service is polite & friendly but frantic at the same time. You may have to send up a signal flare to get more water, but damn their spicy tuna rolls, Ebi, peanut avocado roll(trust me), etc are sooo good, and at $ 45 for all you can eat dinner for two on a weekend night? C’mon, it’s a screaming bargain. You do not come here seeking a cozy, quiet romantic evening. You come here for excellent sushi, at fair prices. Period. Parking is super easy in the large, free lot out front.

I have been to the one on Inman Road in Edison a few years back and came back to the Kingston/Princeton local this past week. There is the regular menu, then there is the all-you-can-eat menu. Go for the all-you-can-eat option. Choose from appetizers, soups, regular dishes like teriyaki or katsu, and the sushi. Just write the number of orders you want for each item and voila! The food keeps on coming. The service is a little hectic, and I was not able to get a refill of water or hot tea from a waitress until I was nearly finished eating. If you can overlook the service, the experience is worth coming for. You really want to order everything from the menu but you better be hungry before coming here. The sushi was tasty and nicely presented. The spicy seaweed salad appetizer was soooo good I wanted to order more of it. For under $ 30 a person, you will get your money’s worth here.

My first visit to this location of sushi palace was about 5 years ago. Ever since then, I’ve been coming back semi-regularly. For a while, the service was terrible, but the food was great. After my last visit, I can now say that the service is terrible, and the food is also terrible. The restaurant is usually packed at dinner time over the weekends. When I went here on Sunday, there was no wait time at all, and the place was only about 2⁄3 full. At the time, I thought it was really strange… but now, I totally understand why. We placed our initial order pretty soon after sitting down. A full 20 minutes later, the spicy seaweed salad arrived. It seemed warmer than usual… like it was sitting out for a while. Our main order of sushi eventually arrived too, and it was so disappointing. There has been a HUGE decline in food quality since my last visit. The salmon sashimi was watery and obviously not fresh at all. The salmon sushi, on the other hand, was surprisingly normal(check out the picture I uploaded. there is an obvious difference in color and texture between the two). The red clam(one of my favorite things to order as sashimi) was not fresh at all either, and it was a chore to finish for the first time ever. Most of the specialty rolls I used to love were so disappointing this time. The crunchy eel roll was especially bad because the tempura flakes tasted really stale. It was clear that the ingredients used in all of the specialty rolls were just not as fresh as they used to be. The service was awful throughout our dinner, but I sort of expected this based on past visits. A lot of our orders took a long time to come out. basically to the point where we were asking the waitresses if something was still on its way every 15 minutes. A few of our items never even showed up. The price for the AYCE used to be very worth it, but now it’s a huge rip off. I honestly wouldn’t be surprised at all if this location of sushi palace goes out of business in the near future. They really need to make some improvements to their service and quality of food. If not, they’ll continue to lose returning customers, myself included.

They said they just got the shipment of fresh fish that morning… Hm well if that was their best I’d hate to come in on a day where it wasn’t. Sushi was horrid. I understand some places could have bad quality but this was the worse. Food: the fish was stale tasting. I don’t know if that even makes sense but that the only way I can describe it. They have no interest in quality of presentation or taste. The sashimi wasn’t even good but in comparison to their rolls it was 10x better.(Take a look at my photo) When I told the chefs that I wanted only the fresh fish he yelled and said that all his fish was fresh. Ok well give me the pretty looking one because I refuse to eat that brown salmon. Service: damn right shit. The wait staff even the chefs kept a giving my table a stank face. They were so rude when handing us our orders as if it was bother to them. Never coming back.

Love hate relationship with this place. It’s cheap for all you can eat sushi and the food here is fresh enough to taste good and not have food poisoning. We usually come here in a big group to splurge on seafood. It does the job, but food-wise really can’t expect too much. Also there’s usually a long line during dining hours, and this place is very strict on you finishing everything you ordered, even if it’s one piece of sashimi left on the plate. It’s a fair policy but just keep that in mind when you order.

Sushi Palaaaaaaaace. Been here so many times– so fun! You can get the $ 25 all you can eat dinner! You get two small white sheets where you can choose an array of sushi, sashimi, maki, tempura, soup, salad, teriyaki and everything else you could want from a Japanese restaurant! Definitely try the spicy seaweed salad. It’s the bomb! Also the Edison roll! That one is the best. The spicy tuna and tempura vegetable roll are also very tasty. I usually order some tempura pumpkin and sweet potato as well. Love that stuff! Also the peppered salmon is really fresh. The seasoned outside is a nice touch. Order A LOT of it! They come in like mini bite-size pieces. Sometimes I’ve noticed that the avocado is slightly brown on or in sushi rolls BUT it’s ok. They have a high volume of customers ordering many items, so it makes sense if the avocado is sitting out for a bit. The service here is super fast and will ask if you’re ready a lot, so be prepared! They are really nice though and are just trying to do their job. Enjoy, and don’t forget it’s BYOB!

All you can eat sushi is a great way to try a little bit of everything on the menu. It’s a shame the majority of the menu is not very good. The sushi pieces are thin and small so you aren’t getting very much fish. The sashimi pieces are thick and are about the size of a quarter. The maki rolls have too much rice. Their goal is to fill you up so you don’t go for round two. And, NO, DONOTEATTHECHICKENTERIYAKI. NONONONONONONO. It tasted like the chicken was undercooked. I was afraid to not eat it because I didn’t want to be surcharged for«food waste» and now I am paying for it in the bathroom. I should have sucked it up and said«You know, arrogant waitress, this tastes like crap, surcharge me.» Here is what I liked: Free tea. I love Japanese Green Tea. Free Water. It is hard to mess up tap water in Central New Jersey. Seaweed Salad. I had the plain one and my pal had the weird one with the imitation crab meat. Eel Sauce on Shrimp Tempura. Very yummy. It would be three stars but for my frequent trips to the bathroom from the chicken. I blame the chicken because my pal did not eat that and she is not dyyyyiiiinnnnnggggggg two days later.
