I love this place, they seem to have just about what ever I need! I don’t mind paying a little more for something to buy locally.

Always have whatever I need – pet food, tools, paint, rentals, etc. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly. The free popcorn stand keeps the kids at bay too. However the usual trade off between convenience and price is quite evident. The convenience is great but generally better value can be found if you are willing to drive over 20 minutes away. So is the $ 10 you save going elsewhere worth driving over an hour round trip? Usually not but that is choice you have to make.

Two stars for the convenience and customer service. 0 stars for price gouging. On average I find that most items are 40%-60% more then other stores on the exact same items.

Very large store huge selection it is quite expensive might as well head down to ace hardware just down the street just as good if not better prices are for sure.

The prices alone are enough to make you go elsewhere but unfortunately in Princeton there are very few options. The government powers that be have been very successful at keeping civilization at bay. Marv’s has a little bit of everything so if you need it now you may have to swallow the«Retail+25%» pricing structure that they so heartily embrace. You do have options for renting tools and I would highly recommend you exercise those options as their equipment is not well maintained. So Marv’s is a mixed bag. If you don’t feel stupid paying their prices it’s not a bad place but if you are looking to get everything you need to complete a project it’s best to head on down the road to Elk River.
