This is going to a hard review to write. On the one hand, I so wanted this place to be special because, at least to me, it’s obvious there is a strong LGBT presence and that makes me just plain happy. My first time here was a collision of circumstance that had me stopping since I was in the area and starving. What I got was a ham and cheese sandwich and Tomato soup. Both the sandwich and the soup were very, very good. Four-star material. It made me want to try dinner. So a week ago, I finally got a chance to return to this place for dinner. Completely different experience. I ordered the pulled mango chicken with sides. One of my sides was a cream of vegetable soup(since the tomato was sooooo good at Lunch, I figured it would be worth a try). It was not good soup. Not terrible either. Pretty much exactly what you’d get if you took frozen vegetables and mixed them with a can of Campbell’s Cream of Mushroom soup. In fact, that’s what it was. Very disappointing considering how easy a homemade batch of soup is to make – less than 15 minutes of prep time and an hour or so on the stove. The chicken was alright. It did, in fact, have mango in the sauce, but it was incredibly unripe mango. I have no idea if they’re just buying the BBQ sauce at Costco(no judgement there – plenty of decent restaurants do) or what, but considering it’s mango season, it wouldn’t have taken much to add some fresh ripe mango. Actually, homemade bbq sauce is also pretty easy and VERY cheap. Because of their location, I gave them three stars. If they were in Issaquah, Bellevue, Seattle, it would be two. The word«Bistro» carries great weight and responsibility. It should never simply be thrown out to dress up a restaurant. This place is simply a roadside diner/café and, as that, they’re pretty decent. But a real Bistro does not save money by using canned ingredients, nor dishes that with a little imagination could be so much more. I hope they read this and take it in the spirit it is intended – you’re worth it, so get better. Good cooking is one of those things that just takes a little research and a creative mind. Anyone can do it.

Excellent food! There were 9 of us and all enjoyed what they ordered. The hamburgers and soup were the favorites. Everything was fresh and nicely prepared. The staff were happy and helpful. The prices were beyond reasonable. If I lived here I would be a regular customer! If it wasn’t for a tiny sign along the freeway we would have never of known about this small gem of a place.

Just outside of Seattle, near some soccer fields in Preston is this little gem. My family and I stopped by this little place after a hike and it was well worth it. Just off the freeway(I-90), this small burger joint has a lot going for it. Fresh, local ingredients make for juicy and tasty hamburgers. instead of fries, you have a choice of homemade offerings. I selected the JoJos, and they were not what I was expecting, but wholesome and delicious. Accompanying my JoJos was the elk burger. Several types of meats to choose from when ordering your burger! If your next adventure takes you down I-90 and you’re looking for a good burger, stop by here.

Pretty amazing fast food. Wagyu beef burgers and homemade sauces and soup. The compostable plates and real silver wear are a nice touch. They ran out of a few things. Which to me means that they’re fresh vs. frozen

This place is in Preston?! It’s fantastic. Good service and good food– one of the best burgers around. Forget that crappy red&white place in Fall City. Preston has an undiscovered gem in town.

Terrible name but a terrific restaurant with excellent, inventive preparations and very friendly(counter) service. Reasonable price for what you get. Kobe burger with a glass of Washington red wine — hard to beat. A lot more than burgers, too.

We have been here twice now and really enjoy it. This is the type of place where you order at the counter and then they bring it out to you. It is mostly sandwich type things but with a slight twist on things. They are apparently known for their burgers and they are indeed very good. The first time we went I had the Wagyu Beef with your typical hamburger toppings L, T, M with Blue Cheese and it was very nice. This last time I had the Beef Pasty. It was not how I imagined that it would be. I’m use to your typical Pasty that has seasoned ground beef and cubed potatoes baked and served. This one had Beef, potatoes, carrots and celery. The carrots and celery were cut in a mini-julienne cut. The potatoes were mashed and mixed with the beef. All in all it worked very well. It was served with a gravy which I ordered on the side.(sorry I like to pick up and eat my Pasty with my hands). I really enjoyed this though it wasn’t what I was expecting. We’ll be going back some more.

Coming back from a hike up Rattlesnake Ridge, we were quite hungry. Found Yummers on Unilocal and had low expectations — I mean, Preston is no Paris. HOLYCOWWEREWESURPRISED. The food is delicious. Bonkers delicious. I had the black bean burger(homemade!!) and sweet potato jojos, husband had wagyu burger with bacon & avocado with seasonal salad. Both were fantastic. Clearly a lot of thought and good preparation went into each. Splurged for a piesti for dessert — yum-o. We’ll definitely be back. Yummers indeed!

While driving through Preston, the pops and I decided to get lunch. Yummers didn’t disappoint! I had some really delicious veggie soup, and dad got an amazing(and huge!) beef pasty. We tried the fresh-squeezed lemonade, which was tearjerkingly tart but tasted great after a few packets of sugar. The place seems to be staffed by young, upbeat hipsters and roller derby enthusiasts, which leads to a fun atmosphere. As I ate my veggie soup, I could hear someone belting«Bad Romance» from the kitchen. The walls are lined with tons of horse paintings by a local artist. It all added up to a fun time in Preston. If I’m ever in the area again, I’ll stop by!

Walked in and was pleasantly surprised by how stylish and clean it was inside. Especially liked the art on the walls. The staff were very helpful and attentive, and while I only had a beer, it tasted better for how friendly they were. Another customer complimented the chef while I was there, and it certainly smelled good, but I can’t vouch for the food first-hand. I’ll bet it was tasty though. They also have free wifi for customers, which is fast and easy to access. I’ll definitely come back for a burger the next time I’m in the area.

After taking in the sights at Snoqualmie Falls my husband and I were driving back to Seattle and saw a simple sign for«Yummers, homemade burgers» we decided to stop and see how it was… I had a Baja Chicken Sandwich, and it was delicious! The sandwich had flavor and the pico de gallo was just right! The service was friendly the dining room and bathrooms were clean and they were patient with a couple of tourists who stopped in specifically to try one of their burgers… If you’re in the area it is definitely worth the stop.

Sometimes I don’t want to write Unilocal reviews at my favorite little places, because I don’t want them to become so popular they are no longer accessable to me! In this case– I desperately want to help these guys succeed. I think they are well on their way– I frequently notice the dining room seems fairly full. I’ve been driving by this place daily for a while and at first dismissed it as not my kinda place. But then I grew curious. Last night we finally stopped in and I wish I’d done so months sooner. The food is made from scratch, homey, and delicious! My daughter has declared their burgers the best she’s ever had. The home-made jo-jos(more like oven roasted herby potatoes) are awesomely good. Did I mention the wonderfully friendly and warm proprieters? How about the very reasonable prices? Dinner for 2 was just $ 15 and we were in and out in 30 minutes. This place is exactly what you want from a small town restaurant… the kind you didn’t think existed anymore. So, if you’re in the area and need some grub– make b-line for yummers!

Full disclosure: this place would only get three stars if it were an impersonal chain, but I really appreciate the super-friendly service and the local community feeling. These things make me want to be a patron. And they do have great potential. The menu is interesting, with unique meats and offerings. I stopped here for game night last night, knowing that I’d be able to find burgers for my friends with fairly tame tastes, plus more interesting flavor combos for my husband and me. And indeed, everyone was pretty satisfied with their nommings. I’ve now tried an elk burger, turkey burger, and veggie pastry from Yummer’s. They were all good, but I think they could still turn it up just a notch — with more interesting house sauces, topping combos, fresh herbs in the pastries, etc. Price for feeding the 4 of us was $ 30, which is very reasonable around here. But they did forget the salmon appetizer I ordered.(Of course, I threw the receipt away, so I’m not sure whether they charged me for it.) So anyway, Yummers: lovely community spot, already good, could be great. I have faith and will continue to stop by until this is so.

Green initiatives(composting, recycling, organic everything) without upcharges. Employees that are normal(not OBVIOUSLY hippies, nor snobby«greener-than-you» dorks). Great food, COMPLETELY unexpected types of food, not to mention unique meat choices. What a great place, and so unexpected given it’s location. I had a Kobe-style beef burger, she had a buffalo burger, and we split a beef-and-potato pasty(Paa-stee). That was the biggest surprise to me. I have NEVER seen pasties sold anywhere before. My grandma made them as long as I can remember. I’m a west-coaster, and hear that they are sold in the upper mid-west. They have a different style than grandma, but they were still delicious. Also, I guess they made an extra chocolate milkshake, either in error or whatever. But the gentleman working behind the counter brought it out and gave it to us, free of charge. That was unexpected and well appreciated. I can really dig their whole«only organic ingredients, and recyclable dishware» thing they have going. Especially since it doesn’t seem like they up-charge for that. Who’d-o-thought, green doesn’t HAVE to mean expensive. I’m confused on how using paper plates is any less wasteful than just washing, and reusing ceramic plates, though. This place is a complete anomaly out here. It’s the only restaurant for at least 5 miles in any direction, except a Subway attached to the gas station that Yummers shares a parking lot with. You’d expect much lower quality, and completely different selection given the surrounding area, but this place is a shocker. If this place was not so far out in the middle of nowhere, I’d go there much more frequently. On the other hand, it’s nice for those who live that far out to have a place that serves great food and great service without having to drive 20 miles each way.

The name, how can one pass on this? Finally stopped for a look-see. Around 5 pm on a Thursday. Two other parties, one a family with kids who were excited. Parents tucked into their meals with a glass of wine. Mostly local and state sourcing. Bought a Wagyu burger, plain. Came with JoJo’s and a dill spear. Superb. Will be back to sample their other offerings. Preston lucked out.

What a pleasant surprise. I’ve been at a basketball tournament all day where the concessions were candy, soda and some Costco trail mix. There’s not much around here except for a Subway and a gas station. From the outside, in the dark, I thought this was a little teriyaki shop but when I went in I was pleasantly surprised. The owner greeted me and when I asked him what was good he told me about everything on the menu. The burgers are fantastic! I had turkey. They also have buffalo, elk, waygu as well as regular beef. The grind their own burgers and make their own patties. Yum! One customer was just leaving and he showed his empty plate to the owner proclaiming his pasta was fantastic. They have beer and wine, soft drinks and fresh squeezed lemonade. They also uninstalled their fryer and my baked jojos with rosemary were a nice change as was was hoping to avoid anything fried. My meal was served super fast an it was delicious and the service was friendly too. If you’re out here near Preston and Fall City and you’re hungry, don’t hesitate to stop at Yummers.

Very few options in Preston for dinner and we hate always driving back into Issaquah or out to North Bend so we thought we’d give it a try. Many so-so and just plain awful restaurants have come and gone out of this location but these guys have it right. Everything is made fresh, with an emphasis on local and organic. But don’t think that it is fru-fru or pretentious, it’s just good food. I had the pulled pork, which was a generous portion and was tasty. Came with two sides — which were large. I had a side salad and quinoa salad, which was delish. My son had the kid’s burger, which really could feed an adult. The rosemary potatoes weren’t his speed, so we’ll get him fruit next time. They really rolled out the service to make us feel comfortable with a toddler — lots of crayons, hats and things to keep him occupied. My husband had a regular burger which came with a large side salad as well. I don’t understand the paper plates and plastic utensils. I thought it might be compostable, but there weren’t containers for that. All of the meat is ground on site, fresh and not frozen patties. They have pasties on the menu, which I will have to try next time. Good variety on the menu, desserts and ice cream as well. Prices are comparable to what you would pay in town for food. They have a happy hour, but no cocktails yet. I am looking forward to their application for wine and beer being approved. I wish them success and hope they are here for a long time!
