Decided to stop in here over a weekend while in town for a friends wedding. Good thing they knew about The Point because I wouldn’t have found it on our own. It is around back and felt like a speakeasy which I loved. I loved the dark décor as well. Our group of about 12 came in and ordered cocktails and some great craft shots and they were outstanding. The service was awesome from the bartenders and staff. My parents have a house up there so I know next time we are in town we will certainly be back to The Point!!!

The Point has a truly wonderful ambience. This is a great establishment to take a load off and enjoy craft cocktails!

Too cool. That’s just the first thing that comes into my head when I think of this place. First, you gotta look for it a bit. It’s a throwback to a speak easy so it’s not terribly noticeable. Then when you do find the door, it tells you to go around back. That’s where the real«front door» is. The bartenders immediately treated us like regulars. That right there sealed the deal. Even though we talked about where we’re from(Indy), it was as if we’d been coming there forever. They even shared the local gossip/news. One even made his own concoction of lemon-line soda & grapefruit hop bitters! That was one he made for himself. Maybe I should try it! I love how they make their own bitters and their own version of «Fireball». Trust me, look into what’s in the brand name — kinda scary. All the drinks are prepared from fresh ingredients & it shows. I love that I didn’t recognize a single bottle behind the bar. Oh hey, they have TEN different versions of the mule for those of you who are fans. I had a Mango Fire Margarita to start. Fire is what it is! Crushed red pepper flakes around the salted rim? I love heat, but this is a drink you can probably just do with one of. I then had a Ginger Basil Gimlet to cool down. Talk about a spring drink! So cool and refreshing! My husband loved both of his drinks too. I hope to go back once more before leaving for home(where we are also spoiled with good craftiness)!

The vibe and atmosphere that this bar has is wonderful. My friends and I adore gathering to play pool and have great drinks! The Tej(I believe that’s what it’s called) is delish and who doesn’t love a classic Moscow mule is a copper mug! One of my fave bars in downtown Prescott.

If you’re looking for the old«speak easy» charm where bartenders are true mixologists, or mixologists in training, look no further. Bar manager Bob & his well trained staff will not disappoint. Come with an open palate for the unique & you will find it! They are also well versed & balanced with the trendy & traditional. Thumbs way up!

This bar really made new years eve special this year. At about 9 o’clock, I sat at the bar and stayed until about 1130. This was great because I didn’t have to wait in a crazy line and I got to try many tasty drinks. Further, one of the bartenders breathed fire, which is always a plus. I don’t think I had a bad drink all night and I had quite a few. They have many interesting takes on the mule. Additionally, there was an extensive specialty cocktail list. I think between 2 of us we tried 10 drinks and spent around 80 $… That’s a steal on any night, but especially new years eve. I would highly recommend this bar!

This place is really cool. I mean really, really cool! The environment is classy hipster. I’m not sure that’s even a way to describe a place but those two words describe it to a T. The bar patrons were really nice and made it easy to feel comfortable here as an out of towner! The bartenders are all dressed incredibly dapper. It only adds to the cool environment! It was a Friday night and it was bumpin in here, body to body is probably the best way to describe it. They had about 4 bartenders working(from what I remember, but there could have been 5!). Unfortunately it wasn’t enough for the crowd it took us about 10 minutes to find a spot at the bar and another 10 minutes for the bartender to get to us. In the future I now know to go a little earlier in the evening! I got a French Moscow mule and it was seriously good, loved the flavor of it! I look forward to coming here again when I visit PV again!

While the atmosphere is fun and the fancy drinks can be awesome, I asked for something a little different on Saturday night… I asked the bartender for a GLUTEN-FREE beer. He immediately recommended a new one from Stone Brewery. I was so excited as I hadn’t heard of it. I got a nice big 20oz and drank every drop. It was delicious, however, I have Celiac disease so for the next 24 hours after finishing the beer, I was violently ill. The bartender clearly did not understand the meaning of GLUTEN-FREE. What he gave me is known for having LESS gluten than regular beer but when you’re allergic or celiac, ANY amount of gluten can be detrimental! They need to learn about allergies or else more customers can get very sick.

I’ve been here with friends a half a dozen times. The atmosphere is the best in town; very posh and trendy. The cocktails are yummy. The service could be friendlier. The music is horrific. They played heavy metal one night and when asked if they’d turn the music to anything lighter they just ignored the request. After the last visit we decided that the music and rude service was not worth the drinks and ambiance.

I was not particularly impressed by this place. Just visiting, went on a Friday night. They were at capacity but we only had to wait like 5 minutes for something to open up. Quite the mix of people, old, young, hipster and country. Opposite of Tom’s experience I did see people in period garb. But anywho, it took awhile for our server to come around, but once she did she was super friendly and helpful. One friend had an Old Fashioned and liked it. We tried the Toronto, not really a fan. I then tried the Mango Fire Margarita, more my style, it was sweet and spicy, it’s got a kick. Then I tried the Burro Mule, like a Moscow but with tequila instead of vodka. It was tasty. The vibe was weird as was the music. The drinks were good but not a place I would hang out.

In response to David H.– Hi David. I’m confused about your review and therefore feel inclined to seek more clarification from you. As far as I’ve always understood it, the intention of is to provide a social forum for the public to openly discuss their personal experiences when providing their valuable patronage to local businesses. While your previous review certainly begins with important and valid feedback for the staff of The Point, as well as the public to be aware of, I simply don’t understand the personal attack regarding the bartender Adam that follows. For the sake of thoughtful and respectful debate… This fella Adam was over heard expressing a personal opinion about another professional in town while socializing, off the clock, with friends at an separate establishment from both The Point and The Raven Café. Regardless of your personal offense to his words and/or loving friendship with the other fella Jarred(which are legit) the reality is, that Adam did nothing unprofessional in this act of expressing his own personal feelings in the midst of his own personal conversation, which are also completely legitimate. Another point that I just have to make… You’re scathing review presents as somewhat hypocritical, considering that you stated, «This is not in alignment of what hospitality service, human compassion and confidentiality is… Adam has displayed these traits 20 yrs ago to me and today». Human Compassion? And where is yours David H. I feel that there is a significant lack of human compassion in your reaction to Adam’s personal conversation that you happened to over hear. I just don’t see any compassion in venting your clearly personal(20 year long) vendetta against another person on a popularized social forum such as . In fact, I find it not only inappropriate to drag as successful local business into your beef, but also question your maturity as this method of communication presents as more passive aggressive and cowardly than anything else. Perhaps you can muster up a bit of bravery and tell this Adam fella what you think about him in person and leave Unilocal to grown up’s who will utilize this site for its actual purpose. Best of luck to you.

Simply amazing! Bartenders are great and drinks are unlike any others in Prescott! The mixology is a true art. Great music and open jam on Sunday’s is a ton of fun!

Where the hell am I? This can’t be Prescott. I don’t see any cowboy pictures or people wearing period garb. No shady meth addicts or gun toting senior citizens(JK Prescott Peeps, I love all of you!!!). This bar would be a huge hit in central Phoenix, but just off of Gurley St. is this enter thru the back, windowless cave of cool eclectic chairs and chandeliers. Low ceilings with intimate seating areas, this bar has that speakeasy feel in the heart of good olé Preskitt. Now the bar is cool enough for me to guzzle vodka, but that isn’t even the best thing about The Point. These bartenders are some of the best I have ever had. Yeah, I know I’m in Prescott, how the hell can that be? These guys and gal know their shit! First, all of their juices are fresh squeezed in house. Second, they make their own bitters, infused vodkas and fresh herbs. Yeah, Prescott! You know that these bartenders are passionate about their craft. Multiple times I saw them dip a straw to test their creations to make sure they are spot on. Extremely personable and knowledgeable these bartenders are the tops in my book and The Point Bar & Lounge is as well. I didn’t even get into the prices of these beautiful concoctions. Imagine drinking at Gibsons on Rush in Chicago, but paying Applebee’s prices. That’s a compliment! Looking forward to my next visit!

Me and my now fiancé went to this bar with her cousin last November and I must say. One of the chillest bars I’ve ever been too. The atmosphere is amazing. I live out in Los Angeles and have been wanting to go back ever since. I know my review is all late but it’s better late than never!

I CANNOT believe they have a place this cool in Prescott. Don’t get me wrong, there are plenty of fun places along Whiskey Row to get your drink on but this speak-easy inspired spot is an awesome place to come in, chill out and enjoy a beer, glass of wine, or a hand-crafted cocktail. I have to thank our bartender at Lyzzard’s Lounge for bringing us here after a few drinks at his spot. You enter through the less than conspicuous back door below street level and enter a world of ambient lighting, cool tunes, an awesome bar with some community tables and other seating. iIf you can get a spot at the bar, the expert mixologists will throw together original, tasty concoctions or a craft beer. The crowd is decidedly more distinguished than you’ll find at most of the other watering holes but they’re friendly and here to have a good time. This really reminds me of something you’d perhaps find in Portland or some other«cool» city here in The States. Definitely come check this place out, it is AWESOME!!!

One of my favorite spots in Prescott to come for a casual drink! This bar is one of the coolest places I’ve ever been to. This was my second time there, and now it is a ritual anytime I go to Prescott. Starting off here or ending here is the way to go, just remember it is more of a laid back feel but try and take in all the amazing décor. If you’re looking for hidden and low-key place with a speakeasy environment, then look no further. This bar is not your ordinary Whiskey Row bar, but it has much to offer. There are many drinks on the menu, but my favorite is any of the Mules. Moscow Mule to be exact — hands down. It is a must to try! You will be able to enjoy in a nice copper mug :) All the bartenders are pretty friendly and busy trying to knock out all the fancy drink orders! Check it out.
