Bought a stainless steel Refrigerator(from Chino Valley HD) — delivered broken. 10 days later they delivered another. Light burnt out in 30 days; unit is way off level. They sent a local appliance company over who told us there is no way to level the refrigerator. However, we have a document from Frigidaire which shows the leveling mechanisms. Sheesh — it ain’t rocket science! But it is a good example of why I would never shop at home depot for a ‘major’ appliance. And when the guy left, I called Home Depot and was unable to get through to a human being! A half hour into that nightmare I called the local Home Depot and got right through to a manager, but what can they really do? He was dealing with so many other complaints, I felt sorry for him and let it go. For today. WARNING: low quality products and substandard service should contribute to it’s rapid failure, so if you want something to last, BUYITELSEWHERE!

I always get great service at home depot! People are friendly and they stay with you until your questions are answered or youve found what you need. Service is very important to me especially these days when it seems to have gone out the back door with alot of businesses. I give home depot 4 big stars fo friendly prompt service!

My wife and I will never step foot in this store again! We spent $ 6K for solid hardwood floors from Home Legend. They acclimated in our house for 1 week to get used to the drier climate of AZ. The installer showed up and did a horrible job! He didn’t nail down certain areas. Instead, he glued them down despite the mfr’s install guidelines saying to only use nails or staples. 30 days later and the crooked boards shrank so bad they started lifting. So, we started a claim with Home Depot. Needless to say, 6 months later and countless inspections, Home Depot sends me a letter saying the warranty is void because of low humidity in our house. Unbelievable! Home Depot doesn’t stand behind their products nor service.

We switched to Lowe’s when the local manager decided to discontinue the veteran’s discount. Now that we deal almost exclusively with Lowe’s, we are really glad we switched. Not only does Lowe’s give the discount, but it is a better store in every way. I still go there to get products not sold by Lowe’s, but it is a second-rate experience every time. Every time I deal with them, the phones are not answered or I get someone who knows almost nothing and doesn’t seem to care.
