Hobby Lobby

I gave them one star because they have some cool things, but more important to me is customer service. My husband and I were there today and a lot of things were marked 50% off. We picked up a few things including two small table lamps. When we were checking out, the cashier said the lamps were not 50% off until next week. The lamps we had chosen were on a top shelf next to a sign that said lamps were 50% off and it did not have a date on it. My husband went back with one of the employees to show her the sign. Well, she said the sign is always there and that it was turned with its blank side facing out until they turn it around for the sale. Problem with that explanation is that the sign was on an open top shelf with lamps on both sides. The sign faced outward saying 50% off if you were approaching the shelf from one side and blank if you approached from the opposite side! Needless to say, we approached and picked out two lamps from the «sale» side. I have never dealt with a store who would not honor their own signs and advised them to remove that sign so that others would not mistake the sale! My husband and I both felt the two employees involved were very rude and instead of honoring their sign and their customers, they told us we could go online and get a 40% off coupon! So for the difference of about $ 6.00 those employees chose to lose two senior customers who have a lot of friends who love to shop! Seems like a mistake!

Pretty cool stuff. Knick-​knacks and crafting materials. Lots of stuff for anyone who is generally artsy or just likes cool decorations. Way, way too much of it is made in China, which is my only real gripe about Hobby Lobby. Other than that, it’s a nifty place to pick up supplies for art, school projects, and the like. We’ve bought a few household decorations here as well. Best to wait until their sales start, you can get some really great deals on items that might feel a little overpriced otherwise.

Very clean, organized store. Yarn section neat as a pin. Lots of pretty things for the home. Friendly people.
