Boyfriend gets his haircut here. There’s a specific person he heads to who is usually in the back and we got lucky during the weekend where he was not as busy. It was about a 15~20 minute haircut, and my man looked a lot more refreshed after with short hair and a nice fade. On the window said $ 8 for a haircut — so price looks pretty decent too.

Great barbershop! No wait! Nice and friendly service. Cheap! $ 9.00! My husband loved his haircut. He will be back!

Very flexible with time. Good price for decent haircuts. Not bad and not good. Average barber for good price. Doesn’t speak with customers that much.

This is the best spot to get medium fade and get lined up in North county. Ask for Ken and he will hook it up. Don’t go to sports clips or super cuts. They are way over priced and don’t give great haircuts. GOTOSAL’s

Five stars for Kim. I have been getting my haircut at Sal’s since 2010. I went to Sal’s a few times and got my haircut by four different barbers and was some what disappointed. I went back because I live so close. I finally got Kim and he cut my hair perfect. I usually get a fade 6 on top and 2 on the sides. Kim is usually the second to last guy on the end. There is usually a waiting line for him but he is worth it! My step dad and father-in get there haircut from Kim when they visit from out of town.

Smooth an efficient. I’ve visited Sal’s periodically over the last several years. Much has remained the same. A good price for a good haircut. Recommended!

Friendly service. Fast. Basic cuts. Inexpensive. I think they make me and my boys look pretty good, but I’m not too picky.

My neighbor has been going to Sals for years. I went there for the first time when the Library Plaza Barber Shop was closed(again). I asked for a trim because I’m trying to grow out my hair. However, I got a cut(about two months growth on the floor… very dissapointed). Maybe she didn’t understand English? If I go again, I will insist that they don’t use clippers.

this place reminded me of the MiraMesa Barber shop i used to go to, all asians and one token barber… but man the first time I got my hair did here the dude was on his cell phone most of the time speaking AZN. and in my head i was thinking, this guy is going to fuck up and i will not tip… nope, at the end i came out looking fly like a G6, so pretty good and i continue to go to this dude…

I know I can’t expect too much, but it really pissed me off when the person who cut my hair was extremely rude in talking to me(didn’t understand him cause of his poor English, so I asked him to repeat). But okay, I’ll live with that. During the middle of my haircut though, he freaking just stops, busts out his phone, and takes a step outside the door to try and take a picture of a group of kids who just got their hair buzzed the exact same way as some team bonding activity. That was the easiest sale they made. Maybe it was poor timing on my part, but you don’t just stop and totally ignore a customer right in the middle. I’ll take my haircuts elsewhere. +1.5 for speed, +.5 for a meh haircut.

Great place. Nice, clean, and fast. Google maps has location wrong. It’s right next to Winchells.

Ahh Sal’s Budget Barber Shop. I have been going here for cheap haircuts for years now. $ 7 for a guys haircut is pretty decent. They have done a good job whenever I have gone in. The only time I ever had an issue was with an old lady arguing I wanted a step cut when I kept saying tapered in the back. I have not seen her in a long time so looks like things are on the up and up for this place. Worth going to if you need a good cheap haircut and aren’t looking for anything fancy.

Nice spot for a quick cut. Great price and fast service. Would come here again, if lines are too long at my local spot.

Found this place while shopping at North Park Produce market nearby. The barbers here are professional and my hair cut has been consistently good. The quality is better than SuperCut and it’s even more cost-effective. However, this crowded place has a downside. They don’t take appointment. It’s a «walk-in» shop, especially during the weekend waiting time can be 20 minutes or more. I have been customer here for nearly two years and I think will continue for a long time because I can’t find a better barber shop offering such deal and quality wise.

If you give me consistently good haircuts and then screw up once, I’ll be back. You screw me up the first time I go, forget it. That’s what happened. I’ll take my chances elsewhere. Military folks, forget it. They cant do a tight fade.
