A bit more upscale merchandise for a thrift store but one will definitely will find deals here. Don’t overlook this one.

Fabulous Finds is more fabulous than looks like at the first glimpse from a modest façade! No vintage cool clothes to be found there, but a huge variety of glassware and china, from different decades. Every time that I go there I end up buying some glasses or nice bottles for $ 1 or $ 2. Really good quality, nothing is chipped or broken, they take care of their items here. Also the glassware is very shiny, which means that someone is really taking care of cleaning every day. Very nice collection.

I have not found a better thrift store anywhere! Fabulous focuses on nicer furniture and housewares, while it’s new sister store next door sells better clothing. Nice stores, no smell, very well priced, nice people working there. Items are displayed nicely. It’s fun to go here since there are several other thrift shops close by. Better yet, all proceeds are distributed to charities.

It looks classy to be a thrift store compared to their next door counterparts. At first glance it more looks like a mall showroom but with more stuff than usual and priced less, too.

Since the SAT’s dropped the dreaded analogy questions from their verbal section, our hero was able to find an SAT prep guide discounted at a second hand store with the following practice question in it: Saks Fifth Avenue is to department stores as Fabulous Finds is to _____________. A. Sandwiches. B. Sexual deviancy. C. Television. D. Thrift stores. PROS: — It’s pretty much the classiest second hand store ever, with lots of mirrors, paintings, dinnerware, and silver. — Nice collections of silverware at 50% off marked prices. — Profits go to benefit the Rancho Bernardo Community Presbyterian Church. CONS: — The U-shaped store only has one entrance/exit. You have to retrace your steps back to the beginning to get out. ANSWER: D.
