I have a streetrod and installed the Bilstein CA4 model. We finished the car recently and it’s taken a bit of tuning to get the coils and shocks set so the ride height is right. In the process, we’ve changed the coils a few times and in doing so, taken the collars off and on (each time ensuring the threads are clean). But the aluminium shock body doesn’t hold up. The threads are galled and the collars cannot be adjusted. Bilstein’s warranty is only 90 days and they refuse to stand behind their product when there is an obvious defect. I’m switching to Ride Tech so that I can easily adjust the suspension with air.

The best shocks ever!!! Changed the performance of my rig dramatically! I run short body 7100 shocks with the remote reservoir on my 1998 Land Rover Discovery! I don’t even need to run my anti-​sway bars any more!!!
