This Walgreens has been around for about a forever-and-a-half, and its age shows inside. It’s a little gloomier, and the floor is warn and quite uneven. Checking out is a bit awkward, because there’s quite a few shelves with items beyond the checkout aisles with more merchandise. There can be a bit of congestion, too, if there are people at the photo counter. The parking lot is pretty awkward too, because you have the special left-turn-for-Burger-King lane which crosses your exit lane. Welcome to 44 Plaza. The inventory wasn’t horrible, but it was a bit inconsistent, especially compared to some of the newer stores. There were a few sales, and some really good after-Christmas discounts today, but otherwise, prices are above average and not always competitive. That said, I expect this Walgreens is an acceptable pharmacy location for most people on the east side of Poughkeepsie and Arlington.

Anyone remember when Walgreens opened a chain of diner style restaurants called«Wags»? Maybe it was just a Chicago thing. This is our favorite Walgreens location in the area, not the sanitized mini-mall anchor store you may be used to, this place is super gritty, but fun. From the burned out letters on the sign to the perplexing merchandise layout, this is a unique shopping experience. The staff here is great.

Walgreens on Rte 9. Please FIRE that rude, ignorant, uneducated, thug acting Spanish guy!!! Has the communication of a 5th grader and very bad customer service skills. I think this may be a case of nepotism. The manager is a Spanish girl. So he might be a cousin or little brother. Will not shop their in the evenings because of that jerk. Please hurry and open the wappingers one.
