I have been using Ultimate Tire for years! Nick is always pleasant and friendly. The biggest thing that makes this my go to tire shop is they are very straight forward and upfront. No beating around the bush, hidden charges or false claims. If they can do somthing on the spot for you, they will. If not they ask you to drop off or make an appointment. This to me is what makes a good business great!

walked in here through a referral and pleasantly pleased to have such great customer service and honest ppl here in this area. he not only took the time to figure out my tire warranty from a California tire company (who wasn’t so helpful), he offered me veteran discount and a quick fix to ship my tire for me and install new ones on Monday.

Needed a replacement tire fast due to a punctured tire. I called Ultimate Tire based on the favorable reviews on Unilocal.Turned out to be a good decision. Nick gave me a competitive price and he was able to get the specific tire that I needed (Firestone Destination LE) in one hour. Oddly, the Firestone store in Poughkeepsie could not get the same tire for me until Thursday and they were $ 20 more expensive. The service at Ultimate Tire was fast and freindly, they had me out in 20 minutes. He appreciated my business and I prefer to support the local privately owned community merchants when ever possible. I will recommend them to anyone needing tires and automotive repair service.

Went in for new tires. Very quick, could not have been more than 30 minutes. I actually told the guy how astounded I was. Price wasn’t cheap, but it was fair. Also, on an extremely hot day, it’s nice to be in a place with powerful AC in the waiting area. The area it’s in is a little sketchy, but safe during the day. Highly recommended.

Just stopped by for a quick tire repair. I friend recommended this to me and I wasn’t disappointed.
I received prompt attention and got the repaired tire mounted back on the car for a reasonable price.
Don’t care much for the neighborhood and the shop wasn’t super clean, but if you want good service with good prices, this is the shop for you.

Yes– these guys are no-​nonsense and never try to give you some lame song and dance by selling you things that really aren’t necessary, which we all know that when it comes to auto repairs/​tires, can leave you broke in no time flat! They are straight up with their great prices and you usually deal directly with the owner, Nick.
Many people are reluctant to visit this area of Poughkeepsie (shady part of Main St.), but its fine during the day. I work only a few blocks up the road, so I’m totally familiar with the area.
Ultimate Tire has been in this same location for a few decades that I’m aware of, personally, and I highly recommend them to anyone. They are quick, fair and yes, «female-​friendly». :)

Nick and his crew are great! He won’t sell you anything you don’t need & will encourage you NOT to remove snow tires when he thinks it’s too early. They’re also very female friendly.
