We had a 20 person party here. I am a little upset with the group fee. They charge you $ 49/person for 2 races and regular 3 race fee is $ 45. So basically they made an extra $ 380($ 19/person) because they gave us 1 less race. I can understand $ 80($ 4/person) if we had 3 races. On top of that they charge you $ 75/hr for a room($ 150). Basically the place was awesome but I think they should of given us 3 races not 2 for all that extra money we spent.

K-1 is awesome! I went there last week, My daughter goes to Marist, and I had some time to kill before she was ready to be picked up. The facility is clean. The track is challenging. The staff is very friendly, and is attentive to the on-track racing. The prices are also competitive compared to the average prices for the industry. The karts and the track will sure to get your adrenaline going. I am no stranger to the karts, since I regularly go to a facility(Speed Raceway) near where I live in Suburban Philly. While the track at K-1 is is rather short, it is very challenging — particularly the two«S» curves — and very different that what I am used to! They did what they could, though, given the relatively small area they have to work with to lay down a track. There is no wasted space. After my races, different employees complemented me on my times, which was nice to hear. I then let it out that I am no stranger to the go-karts(the karts at K1 are the same karts used at my «home» track), and it was just a matter of learning the track for me. After my last race, two off duty employees talked with me for about 10 minutes, and were very interested to hear about what I thought of the track and the facility as a whole. I will definitely be going back to K1 the next time I am in Poughkeepsie and have some time to spare, and I’ll probably be bringing my 14-year-old daughter, who is just as addicted to go-karting as I am.

Do you have the need to speed? Check out the new K! Speed at the mall. It’s great on a rainy day if you have some cash to burn. These are the fastest go karts that I have seen. They really train you on safety and they put you in top notch gear so you will stay safe.

K-1 cart is located in the Poughkeepsie Galleria. I went shopping with my friend and his girlfriend at the Poughkeepsie Galleria to pick up some stuff for our trip to Las Vegas. My friend saw that they had these carts advertised and thought it was the coolest thing. So we had to go try. When you first arrive here in the waiting area is really big. They have you go up to this computer like thing and you basically choose what type of package you want. You also have to check off A waiver that if you get injured they’re not responsible for anything etc. I didn’t think for go carts this was kind of expensive. It was $ 20 for one race. I ended up having a coupon that was five dollars off so it only ended up being $ 15 for the one raceThe guy ended up telling us after we were at on that if you bought like the entire package and you only used one the race out of three or four that you already purchased you could come back and use those races anytime. Overall I thought it was pretty cool. They are fast and they’re a lot of fun there cool little carts if you’re into racing you will definitely enjoy this.

Very expensive to use but sophisticated electric go karts. First off, this is located on first floor of main mall closer to target entrance. Since I never shop this mall I followed mall signs, «theatre»(per driving directions on website), and got lost for 30 mins looking for this place. Once you find the front entrance signs are very prominent. This place in my opinion is way over priced but the quality of the karts & equipment is the only reason I don’t give it a lesser rating. You’re getting almost what you pay for. Waiting area is huge & upon check-in you’re directed to a computer to read and agree to waiver that they are not responsible if you lose a limb. After the legal mumbo jumbo you can choose a package(prices are spot on from website). In my opinion it’s only worth visiting if you get most expensive package($ 45 at time I visited) because that gives you 3 races but for a whopping $ 20 you can race once for about 8 mins. They provide what I would describe as head condoms for your head to soak up sweat inside helmets to prevent HTD’s(Head Transmitted Diseases) cause I’m sure people can be nasty. Helmets are motorcycle grade and they all looked brand new. Karts seemed to be really high quality. Karts are electric & probably topped out at about 40Mph but the track is so small that you get to max out speed for like 3 secs. My only complaint about this place is the track size. I definitely would have liked a bigger track. Overall not a bad place for the occasional experience. If priced slightly cheaper I would go back more often but at current prices I don’t see myself going back anytime soon.
