i ate here last wednesday night for dinner, to start off the food was cold. they had a squid item on the buffet that was so rubbery you couldn’t even chew, the steamed dumplings had sat on the buffet so long they were stuck to the pan! the fried rice was dried out from being in steam table so long, the cook(assuming he was the cook since he wasn’t wearing chef pants or jacket) kept stirring and checking food but obviously wasn’t educated enough in the food industry to know it was time to throw somethings out and start new. I will never go back and would never recommend this restaraunt to anyone. I am just glad i didn’t wake up the next day with food poisoning!

I wasn’t sure if I should rate it 1 or 2 stars. I thought about whether I would ever come back and decided on 1 star. The place is not super-dirty, but it is dirty(if you are ever there, look above the food at the metal bars making up the sneeze guard; they’re rusty and dusty). The food selection is small and greasy, and undercooked. There is a weird security system: the cameras are monitoring the cash register area, not the food area or the seating area. Oddly enough, the monitor is right at the registers too, so I guess the employees watch themselves make change all day long. The scale at the front(where you pay by weight if you get take-out) is obviously missing a stabilizer foot and is strongly tilted to one side, but somehow it does have a Dutchess County weights and measures inspection sticker on it. I was there mid-week from 1130 – 1245 and never saw the tables more than 10% full. This is not a good sign. Lunch comes out to about $ 7.25 per person after tax. Once is enough, there’s much better in the immediate area.

Non-terrible Chinese food from the past millennium, remember when all people could talk about was Feng2K? This is a no-frills dining experience(certainly less if seated next to Chelsea D’s friend). I am generally not a big risk taker with food. Had the lunch buffet, selection was a bit limited but fine; I stuck to the Chinese side of the bar, absolutely no vomiting. Service was friendly, food was OK, perhaps a large number of people in the place kept freshly prepared dishes on the buffet. Not the best, but I’ll probably be back anyhow!

Oh my dear god, Feng Buffet 2000 you were quite a part of my Vassar experience. We were attracted to this place because of the name. What somewhat ironic hip college freshman turns down a chance at eating at a place so epicly named? No one like that would, at least if you were my friends. And so we came here, to Feng Buffet 2000, to experience slightly dirty dining conditions, empty dining rooms, and highly questionable food served on a creepy looking buffet. On the one side, there was your standard Chinese buffet fare. Chicken with broccoli, sesame chicken, lo mein, rice, a couple pots of soup, those stupid sugar covered donuts. On the other side was the American foods and dessert bar, which included my favorite dish: «cheezy noodle», egg noodles in a bright orange but otherwise watery sauce. During my last visit, my friend vomited all over the table. Literally all over.
