The food is fantastic! It is very fresh and they have a great selection. I love the pad thai and the sushi is always fresh and delicious. Good quality food!

Our go-​to sushi place. Everything is always fresh and tasty. They have my favorite sushi rolls and it’s always fun trying new ones here. Never had a problem with anything at all and Last school semester I went here once a week. DELICIOUS!

Why did I move my rating from a 5 star to a 1 ?
I have been to this restaurant 23 times, same seat same time of day and still no recognition.
Today my server spent more time sitting than serving.
I read some of the recent reviews and it does appear that other diners are experiencing similar issues.
I was not pleased with today’s service.

I suggested this restaurant for delivery service to my family tonight based on service that I experienced very early in their presence in the area. My first and second experience was good, but tonight ruined my opinion of this establishment. My order arrived one and a half hours after I placed it. All the food was luke warm. This my initial impression upon reception of my ordered food. Regardless, I did not place blame on the delivery person and tipped well. All the food was really not prepared well. Oddly, all our food was there, but… We ordered large teriyaki shrim p, but got a small. Small Lo Mein, but got large. The Sushi roll was slimy and inedible. The hot and sour soup was good, bug egg drop soup was cold and not clear with poached egg bits but cloudy and almost undercooked. And oddly, we received miso soup which we did not order. We also received a alad we didn’t order. These may have been courtesies to compensate for exceptionally lengthy delivery time but they did not make up for the failure in delivery and quality. I don’t recommend this Asian restaurant in Pottstown and won’t be ordering again.

Went to pickup my dinner order on the night of Friday, January 15^th, 2016. (I placed the order via telephone for pickup.) I get to the restaurant, and was told by the manager /​owner that my order was purchased and taken by ANOTHER customer earlier, and that they would make me a new order… BUT NOT FOR FREE!!!
At first, the owner /​manager wanted me to pay the full price for my meal. But then, he decides to give me ONLY a 15% discount for it. WHAT THE FUCK??? I told him that as the manager /​owner, you are supposed to contact the customer IMMEDIATELY when this type of thing happens, as well as give the customer a FREE MEAL!!! Well, he was not going to let a free meal happen in his «business». I had to suck it up, and pay for the bullshit «discount meal». Also, the manager /​owner was EXTREMELY rude and disrespectful towards me.
Word to the wise: NEVER GIVE THIS PLACE ANY BUSINESS. IF THIS CAN HAPPEN TO ME, IT WILL AND HAS HAPPEN, TO OTHERS!!!

The only sushi worth eating in Pottstown. I would have given them a five star review but they’re a little on the expensive side.

I have ordered takeout a few times, some of my favorite pad thai that I have had in PA. Most places I go to there is no taste, but here there is some spice but not overpowering. My boyfriend and I stopped for lunch today, the first time actually eating at the restaurant. Everyone was very polite, and there is very nice décor. He ordered 3 different types of sushi rolls (he raved about them all) and I ordered sesame chicken. The chicken was probably some of the best tasting I have ever had. It wasn’t over breaded or too fried like some places, and you could tell the chicken was fresh with just the right amount of sauce. We will definitely be coming back!!!

They must have changed ownership. I ordered about 6 months ago and the sushi was great. I ordered last night, and it was not the same. Ordered 5 rolls and it sucked, I also ordered the chicken teriyaki and it was absolutely disgusting. On top of the crappy food, they also have crappy service. The host does not even acknowledge his customers when you walk in. Too busy looking at his phone. Overall, the food and the service sucks and I will not be ordering again. I will continue to drive to Liki sushi in Phoenixville. Even though it is farther… it’s totally worth it.

Disappointed to learn that combo meals (smaller portions with rice and egg roll) are only available for take out. Doesn’t make sense.

Sub-​mediocre. Don’t be fooled by the snazzy name and attractive menu. The chinese dishes come out of the same chinese cold pack kitchen as every other classless chinese restaurant in Pottstown. From the freezer to the microwave to your table. Take $ 30 bucks and head straight to the bathroom. Drop the bills in the toilet and flush. Guaranteed you’ll find it more satisfying.

This is hit or miss. The food is good but there is a massive difference in price between lunch and dinner pricing. The portion size is just about the same though. Therefore, I would strongly recommend it for lunch but I would find it hard to recommend for dinner. Same applies for environment. Some days its completely empty and quiet which is great for meetings. Other days it is super loud and hard to hear the person you are sitting next to.

The beef lo mein is very good, it has very good flavor. We also ordered beef and broccoli. I’m use to carrots being cooked in as well but this is not how they cook it here. Friendly environment

The décor is nice and clean. The prices are great. The yummy roll was my favorite. I would recommend it!

I was here on Tuesday night with my husband and godmother. My godmother does not eat sushi. We ordered red curry, shumai, sesame chicken, mango salad, avocado salad, «ROMANCE ROLL», the $ 25 sushi special, and two special lobster rolls to go (for my dad at home).
As a well traveled diner and avid tuna fisher, immediately we recognized the tuna was terrible. We didn’t eat that part. I asked our waitress many times «is this cooked?» before I ate it because I saw how $h!t_y the «tuna» looked. She assured me all was cooked and I ate it. It was good.
Very blunt: exiting the parking lot, my husband and I got awful stomach cramps. During the 10 minute drive home, I had to vomit. In addition, we got sick in the car and went home to an evening of diarrhea and vomiting.
The next morning we called the restaurant and they totally discredited us since we didn’t go to the hospital. Why would I go to the hospital? My husband is a doctor. I have never, ever experienced such awful customer service. When a customer tells you they got sick after eating your food, own it. APOLOGIZE.
We know what we ate the days prior (nothing else that was the same except for the food at Sakura). I am not a difficult person and I do not like causing problems, but I really believe they should have APOLOGIZED and owned it. Good luck eating there, because they obviously stand by their very old fish.

Our go-​to sushi place in the Pottstown area, and honestly, it’s on par with some of the fancier sushi places we’ve eaten in big cities like Philadelphia. It’s a little on the pricey side for the area, but WORTH IT (and they regularly offer coupons).
The décor is on the dark side, creating a more intimate atmosphere with dim lighting, dark walls and dark tile floor. It’s lovely. Not great for kids though (which I don’t mind in a «date night» type place) — it’s small and there’s nothing to really absorb sound. We make sure we keep our 5 year old occupied when we go because we don’t want him disturbing other patrons.
Their sushi is phenomenal. Phenomenal. Very fresh, creative and delicious. We have ordered the Love Boat sushi (worth every penny) but generally order the Today’s Special Sushi Bar where you get 2 rangoons, 2 gyoza, pineapple and 2 special rolls for $ 25. We order 2 of these specials and choose 4 different rolls, and it’s a BEAUTIFUL presentation. The chefs clearly take pride in their work. Our hands down favorite is the Sakura roll, which we order every time: Spicy tuna crunch inside, outside with yellowtail jalapeño sauce with red tobiko. We’ve also ordered the Godzilla Roll, Volcano Roll, Black Jade Roll, Sunshine Roll, TNT Roll, and some other special rolls and have never been disappointed. We’re also fans of the creative Monster roll, where the chefs uses pulled apart crab stick on top of the roll to give it a «monster» like appearance.
Last time we went, we took our son with us and ordered Chinese for him — what every little kid eats — sweet and sour chicken. The waitress was VERY nice to him and even put together a pair of chopsticks with a rubber band and a piece of paper so he could eat his «chinese chicken nuggets» with them. He was thrilled and ate a good bit of the huge portion of them. He also thoroughly enjoyed the lo mein noodles and the hot tea.
We always leave there feeling full and very satisfied. I’d highly recommend Sakura

Best Asian take out in Pottstown that I have found. Love Veekoo in Royersford, but Sakura is closer to home for me. Great chicken fried rice. Love the crab wonton appetizer. Shrimp with lobster sauce is very tasty. Chicken with mushrooms is good with terrific brown sauce. Chicken with cashews is also a favorite of mine. Good cooked special rolls. I have not tried the raw rolls. Nice friendly service. I get take out from here about once a month and I am consistently satisfied.

After checking out the reviews of all the near Sushi places around Pottstown. My boyfriend and I were very happy with our experience here. Honestly, The best service and freshest Sushi we both have ever eaten. It was fantastic. Whats even better is the coupons they offer on their site! How great is that for a «Date Night»!?

Solid Sashimi, specialty rolls are nice and fresh with texture and clean flavors. Good service. The dining room is usually empty, but not sure why. BYOB
