Love, love this place! Friendly and prompt service. My favorite dish is the Spicy Tuna Salad. We’ve eaten here a few times, trying different sushi rolls each time. Portions are generous and prices are fair. We travel a lot and make it a point to find great sushi restaurants wherever we go. These guys get 2 thumbs up! For those who live locally, Fu-ki is located in Post Falls, but I feel like they really should be in Coeur d’Alene, close to the resort. When I think of good food, I don’t think of Post Falls. These guys could up their game by changing to a more upscale location.

What a pleasant surprise this place was! I went last week and got a bento box with a spicy tuna roll and assorted sushi and sashimi. I couldn’t believe the HUGE slabs of fish they served me!. salmon, tuna, red clam and seared albacore, all for $ 18.00! The meal also came with rice, salad and miso soup so it is easily enough for 2 people. The service was wonderful, my ice tea glass never went empty and the owner Lily was warm, inviting and very sociable. I will be coming back for the teppan next time!

Delicious sushi and tempura. Were seated quickly and could watch the sushi chef at work. Better alternative to the 90 min sushi wait at Ding How in Liberty Lake, WA. Tilapia and lobster are dishes to keep on your radar.

Awesome sushi menu. The teriyaki beef is very tasty and comes with sauté veggies. Miss soup is wonderful. Pleasant atmosphere.

I have had almost everything on the menu and it never disappoints I am giving them 4 stars because the wait staff used to be better. A little training goes a long way folks! To the kitchen, keep up the good work.

Really loud but fun atmosphere, the food was better the first time we went, the second time not-so-much. Be prepared to wait quite awhile for anyone to even acknowledge you after you are seated. I would rather go for lunch, but the guests we had in town enjoyed it!

This was by far one of the best sushi places I have eaten at. The garlic roll was amazing. I would return to this restaurant in a heart beat whenever we are in post falls, Idaho again.

Used to love this place, however last night I got food poisoning from our sushi rolls. Will not be returning.

Their hibachi chicken is really good. Nice bite size pieces. Not too fond of the soup that comes with the lunch special. They have nice decorations.

Me and my husband went there today for lunch. I just love sushi, but my husband doesn’t. Fu-ki has both: sushi bar and grill area, which worked perfectly for us! I had bento box and seaweed salad. Salad was 6.50 which is little high for a seaweed salad. Bento had miso, salad, rice and 2 choices of rolls. I liked salad dressing, soup was good. Actual rolls were just ok, nothing special. My husband liked his steak and veggies, the guy who cooked it for him was very nice and entertaining. The portion was really small, tho. Our service was great! Overall it was good place for lunch, but we would not go there for dinner and pay full price.

Don’t know how my review has disappeared but I will continue to post! This place served me an inedible dish, then asked me if it was good. My response was gentle but honest. I did not like it. It was not fresh and smelled. The staff member took it away and went to speak with the owner. When the staff member returned, she told me that the owner was unwilling to take the dish off my tab but was unable or unwilling to come talk to me personally. 2 other staff members were not surprised by the reaction. This is unfortunate. I am a former restaurant owner. I would never want a customer to leave unsatisfied but more than that, why send a staff member back to do what you should have done! Unbelievable! I paid the bill($ 57+ total including the dish that was removed) and tipped my server well. It’s not her fault. The rest of my meal was decent… not good enough to overcome the inadequacies. Please pull it together, I would like to be a customer!

Sushi was uninspired and bland. Nigiri was too thick and its texture was off. If you are looking for an o.k. place to go, this might work. Maybe the ‘show’ food is better, but for good sushi i wouldnt recommend.

Really enjoyed the food here! My first time was last night. Although it would have been nice to get an experience like the other tables with a super upbeat chef who made us laugh the whole time.(Ours was a bit sour, but maybe it was the end of his shift) I really enjoyed the experience and we will be back!

I am usually wary of sushi more than 100 miles from the ocean but fu-ki was a real surprise. It seems to me there is always the same guy cutting the fish behind the counter every time. They have the fusion side which looks fun. A guy blowing whistles and throwing your dinner about the room, but I love sitting in the quite sushi bar and enjoying all the different things they offer without all the fuss. It is very cheap for so much food too!

Pretty good for Idaho sushi, The veggie hand and cut roll was wrapped in pink soy paper which was something different and looked really cool. The miso soup was good as well as the seaweed salad. I highly recommend the sparkling saki. :)

I have to say my spouse and I are fans of this sushi and steak house, the wait staff and desk are very sweet and attentive, the vibe is positive, the food amazing with great portions and its always fresh. Its convenient off the 90 in Post Falls. We avoid Sat/Sun because the crowds are too packed in there. Sun-Thurs its a good time to arrive shortly after opening.

So let’s start by saying that this review is only based on their sushi and sushi rolls… We did not try the teppanyaki. My husband and I recently moved to Post Falls from Southern California… Fu-ki is closest to our new place so we thought we’d give it a try. Now I don’t usually order rolls, but they had a good variety. We ordered three rolls, two miso soups, edamame, and one order of salmon nigiri. My biggest complaint would be the amount of mayo they mixed in with the imitation krab. I like mayo, but it was a lot. My husband(who does not like mayo) couldn’t eat it. The fish quality was mediocre. The cut of salmon was pretty good on the nigiri, but it had a rather large amount of rice with it. The miso soup was tasty, not too salty, and had a good amount of tofu ands seaweed in it. The edamame were cooked perfectly, too. They had agood deal on Sapporo when we went. The service was a little slow for it just being us and one other table. That said, I think we would come back to try the teppanyaki someday. Probably would come back for sushi if I was desperate and didn’t want to drive too far. It would be difficult to get my husband to come with me. He really didn’t care for the amount of mayo mixed into the krab.

Great sashimi, nigiri, and sushi rolls. The fish is excellent and obviously fresh. Sapporo on draft and the hot saki, check and check. Twelve pieces per roll and the prices were reasonable. The kids ordered from the grill and the steak and shrimp were yummy. The fried rice was also cooked well and had and excellent flavor.

I’ll start out by saying I have been going to Fu-Ki for about 3 years now, up until my last visit I had nothing but great things to say about the place. But that has since changed. On a lunch time visit a couple weeks ago during a class I was attending we showed up about 1130. We were the first ones in for lunch. We sat at one of the teppanyaki grills, waitress came and took drink orders, we ordered food at the same time and told her we only had an hour. after about 20 minutes chef came out and cooked the grilled food for those who ordered it, food was cooked and on plates before we ever got any drinks or saw our waitress again. Waitress finally came back by and was reminded we hadn’t received our drinks. After over 30 minutes finally had glasses of water, but still no sushi in sight. finally after 50 minutes of waiting we were able to find the waitress again, who acted awfully busy for there only being 1 other table of people in the place. We asked where the sushi was and told her it would need to be boxed up because of the ridiculous delay. So we had to take it to go and eat back in class(thankfully the instructor was ok with it after explaining to him what happened). The waitress didn’t seem to care that we were in a hurry and was somewhat rude. Later that week some friends had another horrible experience in there involving missing food in a take out order and a sushi roll that was dropped on the floor and supposedly«thrown in the trash» but likely put back in the to go box. when contacted the staff there told my friends they were liars and said all the food was there when they left and that the sushi on the floor never happened. I really loved this place but after the couple experiences recently will take my business elsewhere. Not sure whats changed there but its definitely not the same as it used to be.
