Sara is my trainer here and her teaching style is very sweet but firm. She met me at my riding level and started building my riding skills from my level. She really knows what she’s doing… which in turn is great for me. The riding school is really nice because there is a ton of property to take the horses around. Arthur was the most gentle horse I have ever been on, just a light squeeze gets him posting. He was very lovable and easy to learn on.

I’ve been a client at Isola/Glenoaks stables for 10 years and consider this my «second» home. When I decided to purchase a horse, my trainer/owner found me the perfect horse. He not only wanted to find a good match for my riding ability, but wanted to ensure I was happy with my purchase! 10 years later, we are still riding and competing. I have a very healthy happy horse, due to the EXCELLENT care at this facility. My horse is on the supplement, Lifeforce and his coat looks fabulous. He is on a wonderful training program — training rides, turnouts and walker, plus my lessons. I have never had any issues approaching the trainers or grooms regarding concerns or questions about my horse’s care. Looking forward to more years of riding at this facility!

I am an intermediate-advanced riding student who has ridden with six trainers in the last ten years, and I am confident saying that the Glenoaks riding school is a fantastic place to grow as a rider. I leave every lesson feeling like I’ve worked hard, accomplished something, and figured out what my goal for the next lesson should be. The horses are well-trained, well-mannered, and well-rounded as a group, so there is no chance to get lazy or fall into bad habits with a particular horse. The trainer is experienced, confident, and respectful. She respects the horses AND her riders, and she really takes pride in helping her horses and riders grow in a positive environment.

Good: This facility is beautiful, the arenas are well cared for and large, and the best part is there is 1,000 acres of open space preserve with some cross-country jumps. The boarders here are also friendly. Bad: The owners are not as friendly as the clients. It seems like their sole goal is to make money. The boarding cost is far too high — $ 1,000 a month doesn’t even include bedding, and grass hay is an extra $ 5 a day(alfalfa cubes are included for free but those are not really proper horse food). Just a large dry lot paddock and cleaning.

Couldn’t recommend Glenoaks more for the child or adult amateur. The facility is just beautiful — hundreds of acres of open space for trail rides, and multiple rings for lessons. The horses are very well cared for and safe and the trainers are excellent. You can’t go wrong here.

Thanks to Glenoaks Stables, i was able to advance my riding in leaps and bounds. In two years, I went from walking and trotting to jumping and intermediate dressage work. There are horses and ponies for riders of all riding experience. Also, they have a summer camp program that enables young riders to get hands-on with learning not only about horseback riding, but also about horses themselves and how to take care of them.
