i was the passenger in a car that was rear ended. i had several chiropractic visits, finally had to have shoulder surgery. to be quick, the driver who only had chiropractic therapy and went to shelley fuller, p.c. as her lawyer settled for $ 50,000, and after all fees she netted $ 32k.
i went with mr. curtis of zbinden and curtis. he is a very nice man, but i don’t think he was a great attorney for me. i was left with phone calls saying $ 5k, that’s their offer. then $ 8k, i don’t think they’ll go any higher. while ms. fuller did not bother the driver with all the lowball offers. finally mr. curtis said $ 15k, and i don’t think they will go any higher. so i asked if any of the outstanding bills could be reduced. he said i could call and see. while ms. fuller did this herself without even bothering her client, therefore increasing her settlement. in short, mr. curtis said with shoulder surgery, we’re looking at around $ 100,000, though he didn’t want to guarantee anything. i got 15k after i talked surgeon into reducing fee to $ 4k, i netted $ 4k, lawyer got $ 5k, and the rest to miscellaneous fees. the driver had a lawyer who did all work and phone calls to reduce fees, she had no surgery and settled for max of persons insurance, $ 50k and she netted $ 32k. ms fuller said can’t promise an exact $ amount, but with your surgery we would have gone for 100 and i think we would hace gotten it. also, the client never gets less than the lawyer in my office!
my opinion if you need a lawyer it’s easy to be forgotten in a large firm who are worried about other bigger clients!
while ms. fuller gives all clients she has the same respect and fights like hell for best outcome for all clients!!!

Curtis is one of the most unpleasant, rude and condescending people I’ve ever had the displeasure of working with. Wouldn’t let me get a word out until I demanded he stop interrupting me. Obviously had no medical background and wouldn’t listen to a word I said, even though I’m a medical professional. Kept repeating questions and wouldn’t let me answer them, kept interrupting me over and over again. He didn’t even introduce himself upon entering the room. Don’t bother with these clowns, not worth your time.

Money grubbing thieves. Both of them. Stay away from these jerks.

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE! I asked curtis to be my attorney! He dose not care about what u have to say! He just wants your money. His assistants are ALL Mexican and uneducated! His receptionist looks like she’s only 15. They clearly dose not know what there doing, he was a big waste of my time and money! When I called him he always had a snotty attitude and always hands me off to his assistant. He did NOT help me at all!

I hired Mr. Curtis for a car accident and I found him to be extremely rude and sexist towards his secretary. I felt he talked down to her. He actually yelled at me in a phone conversation we had, to the point I had to tell him that I was going to hang up If he persisted. Unfortunately I had signed a contract with him before I figured out hat type of person he was.

I think these guys are crooks, simple ambulance chasers. Very rude, just trying to get as many cases as possible with the least amount of work. Big Mistake!
