Dr. Justin is incredible. I’ve been going to him for different injuries over the last year and he’s been able to help everytime… even when other doctors had no idea what was going on. I’ve never had a doctor know so much about how the body, especially the lower body works. It’s a quiet office and easy to get to, right in the middle of downtown.

Justin is awesome. His hands are super strong and he knows a lot about body pain and function — more than any other chiro I’ve been to in pdx. But man, he’s always always always running behind. Don’t try to plan anything after your appointment because you’ll definitely be late.

Dr Whittaker is awesome he helped my hamstring a great deal. His office Is horrible!!! I got caught in traffic and could not make my appointment so he charged me $ 25.00 that’s is fine, his office makes you sign a contract at your first appointment But, my gripe is two weeks prior his office call me less than a hour before my appointment to say, they are short handed and they would have to cancel. I drive 60 minutes to get to his office. When I asked for some grace because they did the same to me the answer was No. The young lady at the front desk was very sweet, and in my observation was
her superior was standing right behind her. The front desk person kept waiting for a response from her but she just kept her back to us and walked off. I must have at least six or seven treatments and even a couple after being late and getting charged, I really like Dr but I’m not sure he is totally aware of how people are treated in the lobby.

Went in to have some hip, thigh, ham, etc. stiffness and pain checked out. Dr. Justin was very thorough in his preliminary examination, very personable and easy to explain my situation to. He was able to pin point my issues and provide both immediate assistance as well as a longer-​term program to correct my issue. I am excited about my immediate results and looking forward to even more positive results. His staff was very friendly and knowledgeable.

Went in for hamstring soreness — learnt some great new strategies for stretching /​icing plus the work Dr Whittaker did on my hamstring.
Was able to get it fixed and manageable in a few visits. Very courteous and professional staff.

With confidence, I can say that Justin Whittaker is in the top tier of soft tissue injury practitioners. In addition to his public practice, he treats several world class track & field athletes, and supports players from the Blazers, Timbers and Winterhawks. I’ve never had a boring conversation with Justin, that’s for sure! We’re very fortunate to have somebody of his caliber locally, and I highly recommend him to treat any new or lingering issues you have. If you’re on the fence about seeing a professional, or view chiropractors as spinal adjustment specialists and nothing more, give Dr. Whittaker a try — you’ll be pleasantly surprised.

After seeing a variety of health practitioners: MD’s, chiropractors, and acupuncturists, Dr. Whittaker was able to do what none of them could; fix my shoulder. The best part is it only took him a few sessions to do so. I can’t recommend him highly enough.

I have sought chronic pain therapy far and wide for the last five years, and after just one session with Dr. Whittaker I believe I’ve found the best Portland has to offer. Dr. Whittaker was both incredibly knowledgeable and personable during my one hour Active Release Therapy session, and I have already felt the impact of his combined soft tissue and chiropractic work. Having tried physical therapy, acupuncture, chiropractic therapy, massage therapy and prescription drug therapy, I can confidently say that the school of Active Release Therapy is leagues beyond other treatments for those seeking chronic pain relief. If you experience any sort of regular musculoskeletal or myofascial symptoms, I’d wholeheartedly recommend scheduling an appointment with Dr. Whittaker. He’s fantastic!
