their food is good, their location is good for attracting attention but not so much for parking… although i am on public transit so parking not a problem for me… lol. they’re on the trimet 54 route which is good. it’s pretty small inside(not much space for a stroller). the staff is quite nice & talkative. you don’t wait long for your food, the prices are good! the portions are generous. the only knock down i have to give is due to no changing table in either back room & i have 2 kids in diapers… i would rather eat here as opposed to shari’s or denny’s anyday!

I ate at Weber’s once. If Denny’s is your idea of high cuisine then you’ll be okay with Weber’s for a big step down. My impression from my food and my friends food was that they use very low quality ingredients, which makes for unsatisfying fare in my book. The flavor was lousy, too. The omelet was horrible. The pancake was edible but sub-par. Two of my friends didn’t mind it. But if you are even remotely a foodie then go elsewhere.

So, this is a decent choice for breakfast out with the family. It’s not upscale or gourmet. It’s tiny. It’s a diner. The clientele are regulars, and many of them are older people. That said, the pancakes are good. They were so nice to my kid. The coffee was adequate. I liked my omelet. I liked that it didn’t cost an arm and a leg, it wasn’t bigger than my head, and it didn’t try to be fancy. It was just a regular old ham and cheese omelet. Nice. Given all of that, don’t order Eggs Benedict here, go somewhere else to do that, you know? Eggs, toast, sausage, breakfast… not fancy schmancy dining out. Sheesh.

I went here early Monday morning for breakfast with a friend. Being in our mid-to-late 20’s, we immediately dropped the average age of fellow customers from the 70’s to much lower. They have a lot of menu options! There was also a little card on the table that mentioned they’d be open past 5 p.m. soon, with lots of homegrown dinner options. Oh… yeah…they’re not open past 5 at the moment. Don’t let that bother you, though. I had a wonderful breakfast skillet of eggs, cheese, bacon, sausage, and gravy served on fried red potatoes. My friend ordered the pancakes; those looked really good(they’re what I usually order at breakfast) as well. Do give it a try. It’s a small place with a slight old-timey feel.

Years ago, this place was a pleasant breakfast/lunch location, one I’ve looked forward to visiting again. My bad. There were people at 4 tables, the other 3 lounging over finished meals or coffee, so no rush for the waiter. Good thing; he certainly did not rush. When he finally did meander over, he never made eye contact, said about 20 words total through the whole ordeal, sort of frisbee’d my plate to me when it finally came, and it was awful. This guy is truly a man of few words, the entire dialogue went, «Coffee?» as he dropped the menu on the table; «Are you ready?» when I put down the menu after he’d apparently been off reading A-M of the phone book, «Everything OK?» after I’d given up on the whole place, and that was it. The only other noise was some fat whiner in the front booth, hurt and dismayed that some of His Taxes might be used to help Poor People. Loudly. Nonstop. I am generally a very good customer and tip heavily, but I couldn’t wait to get out of this joint and the tip was under10%. Too bad.

ya, I have to agree. My partner and I woke up early on a Sunday to head out and get brekky in our new neighborhood. I read some reviews and had passed by a few times, thought I would give it a try. In hindsight, I should have either driven into the city or eaten at the village inn. First of all, Im gay. So is my partner. Its Portland for gods sake. But you would have thought we were making out in leather jockstraps with the stares we got. anyhow. Coffee was decent, I was a little disconcerted by their«ribbons of eggs»(not sure how you make that and the toast was kinda bland and kinda cold. I would not return again, even though Im all about the mom and pop shops. The hash browns were scary. Thats all Im going to say… like they hash browned last nites mashed potatoes. Youve been warned!

We drive across town to have breakfast at this place. The bacon is out of this world and you can actually bite into the hash browns. They are really yummy. The pancakes are made by hand with a touch of vanilla and come with real maple syrup. It’s like a breath of fresh air compared to all those hip and trendy Portland restaurants that people are dumb enough to wait out in front of for an hour. And the staff is amazing. They take the time to get to know everyone who comes in. And, yes, you will be served by a busser, server and maybe even the owner who also doubles as a server. In a city of full of crappy service, this, too is refreshing.

discovered this place in the Breakfast in Bridgetown book and thought«it’s close to where I live and the author seems to like it.» well, we got there and were told to take a seat at any clean table. how thoughtful. the place is small, but comfortable and has the vibe of somewhere out of the late 70s. someone else came over to take drink orders and bring menus. after about 5 minutes, our coffee arrived with yet another person who proceeded to take our order. after another 15 minutes, someone else came over to see if we wanted a coffee refill. about ten minutes later our order arrived. we just ordered eggs. the food was pretty subpar. I got an eggs benedict that came with a cheese sauce(which I thankfully ordered on the side). the cheese sauce resembled what you’d get with nachos at a baseball game, but not as orange and not as thick. my boyfriend got the signature Webber’s Scramble. it didn’t look very appetizing and apparently wasn’t. with empty coffee cups and empty plates our waitress came back to our table and in a perky voice asked us how everything IS. i just told her we were finished. she just said«oh» and walked away. someone else followed behind her with a coffee refill. next time she came by, a few minutes later, we asked for our check. it took her way to long to bring it by and even longer to pick it up. so much so that we just brought it up to the counter. the service staff is friendly but NOT efficient! with three servers for 15 tables, there’s NO excuse for that. the food isn’t good enough to make it worthwhile. even worse, I had a horrible stomachache after we left. it was probably from the cheese sauce. for the price, there are WAY too many better places to go. even IHOP is better than this!
