Mike runs a great club. All the athletes are there to work but they also have fun doing it. There’s a pretty good mix of dedicated and casual weightlifters. All skill levels are represented from completely new to national level lifters.
Mike as a coach is top notch, he can anyone who puts the work in a long way in terms of strength, power, technique, and overall performance. He’s great at identifying flaws and explaining getting through all of our thick heads on how to fix them. He has a real passion for the sport that you can’t find in other places.
Bottom line, if you want to be a weightlifter in Portland then I feel this is the place to be.
