Very lovely vintage store! Great selection of clothing and reasonable prices. The owner is very sweet and knowledgeable. She also makes super cute handmade clothes and has them on a rack in her store. A great addition to the neighborhood!

Man friend and I were wanderlusting through Portland for a few days. After eating at a Filipino restaurant in the SE part of the city, we started meandering down Foster Road to burn off all the pork belly we consumed… Man friend noticed a colorfully painted store across the street and said, «That looks like a place you’d want to go into» and practically shoved me in there so he could sit on the curb and sulk in his food shame. Well, I am so glad that he did, because this is one of THEBEST vintage shops I have ever been in! I was in awe from the moment I started browsing a rack of dresses and noticed how immaculate every piece was. No rips, holes, stains, discoloring… Just flawless vintage pieces! The lady behind the counter(who turned out to be Loni, the awesome shop owner!) could sense my awe and told me that she has been working with vintage clothes for years and years and fixes everything to the best of her ability before putting it for sale on the rack. She then directed me to a rack of clothes that she designed and sewn herself from vintage fabrics under a house label called«Love to Love You.» Each piece was totally unique and so well-made! I couldn’t leave without buying a one-of-a-kind dress! And for the men out there, Velvet Goldmine hasn’t forgotten about you — there is a whole rack of awesome stuff for the dudes, as well! If you are in Portland, you HAVE to stop here. As the name of the store attests, it really is a goldmine!
