V.Lywood Café

After writing this review, I was messaged by an individual who I assume was the owner or manager (or both) of V. Lywood Café. I was invited back to have my drink re-​made. I waited awhile before I returned because I was hoping they’d have all of their kinks ironed out.
So, I returned and had my durian smoothie re-​made. It tasted better than my original drink was. More flavorful and smoother (however, still with chunks of ice… this really is annoying). I give it one more star because I don’t really feel they deserve 4 stars. Maybe 3.5. Here’s the thing, although I had a better experience the second time, it didn’t blow me away. There are too many other cafes on 82^nd or near by that makes durian smoothies better.
My other gripe is I was asked in detail of what was wrong with my initial cup. It just didn’t taste good. for multiple reasons. I really wanted to try what they were serving customers now as opposed to when I had my first drink. They kept stopping and asking me more questions about what I didn’t like about my drink. So, I don’t know if this is a fair reflection of the quality of the drinks they are producing when it’s not a customer returning due to a complaint. Just a thought.
