UYE Brix Aids Walk Fundraiser

Thank you Lauren! As usual it was a brief time out for me, and I couldn’t drink much (shoulda got a cab) but with these people– you really don’t need drinks, there’s plenty of fun to be had, simply hanging out together. Thank you Jesy for dutifully hauling the donations piggy (dinosaur) bank around town these last few weeks and making it easy for people to give what they can.
It was fantastic to finally meet Ron and see Oscar and lovely Tamara and watch everyone color. What a mighty force the Portland Unilocal group are– I feel so fortunate to have met you guys– thanks for always making me feel welcome. I can only imagine how the rest of the night went and I bet it was a blast. Again, thanks to Lauren Jesy and AB for bringing us together to be so much more than drinking pranksters with amazing fashion sense. I finally got to meet Melvin!
I sat next to JW. I think he hates me but I am a lowly freshman after all.
As far as Brix, the drink I had was a habanero margarita thing and it was super (thanks Matt!) and the Brix chips were tasty as advertised. Cheesy meaty goodness with salsa and sour cream on the side. The ultimate HH snack and Lauren’s cheese fries that I stole when she wasn’t looking were quite good too.
Anywhiz, last night was perfect except for missing some people (who probably showed up after I left boohoo) — AND Pearl District parking but I can’t wait to get out and do this again! Thanks everyone! love,

This a fun filled event. It was great seeing Matt again and meeting new folks like Jenny, Dyllan, and Jeff.

First off props to Lauren for setting this up. I think Brix might be too upscale for our group of near do wells, or at least they should have frisked JW, but what a nice space and great service. Props to Jesy and the coloring fundraiser. Winning a bottle of spirits isn’t a bad thing either. (Thank you JJ)
Believe it or not, we have some talented artists who graduated second grade, myself included. The happy hour drinks were great, the food looked really good and I tried the bacon cheddar fries that were going around. We even got a new Unilocaler out and he was scared off by Mary’s antics! ;) Welcome Dylan to our motley crew.
