I had heard about this place and it’s super close to my house but I hadn’t checked it out until the other day– wish I had sooner! Our server was friendly and funny and the food was most excellent! Great burgers!

Sad to give this bar 3 stars. I regularly attend taco Tuesday’s which in my opinion is the best thing going for the Twilight room. $ 2 for 3 tacos, 2 dollar well shots and 2 dollar beers 9−11pm on Tuesdays. Love all the food, love the ambiance, my only qualms with the T room is the bartenders. One in particular who must not enjoy his job, or life, too much. If you go to the Twilight room I’m sure you know who I mean. My friends have long since boycotted this bar because of the bartender(s) and until recently I was willing to deal with it. Well sad to say I will no longer even eat take out through them because I don’t support how it’s being ran by the bartenders. I was cut off recently after 2 shots and the reasoning was they were within 15 minutes of each other. Now normally I wouldn’t be too concerned, but what got me was I had to pay the normal price for my second and last shot because the bartender sat and chat with the pretty girl ahead of me until 11:03, after taco Tuesday ended. I mentioned I had been waiting in the front of the line for nearly 10 minutes but didn’t feel it was worth arguing over. I may try again one day but can’t get myself to try to order a drink from broke Elvis.

Great place with pool tables, cheap beer, outdoors patio, and friendly stuff, what else can you ask for?

My boyfriend and I come here often for drinks, food, to watch games, and to play pool. I had the T-Bird burger for the first time today. It was so good! Kevin is always great and so is the staff. I recommend this place except when all the college students take over, it gets a bit crowded.

Pretty good for a dive bar. I didn’t try any food but they had a decent beer selection. The place is pretty roomy inside with a couple pool tables and video poker for those that like to play either. Bartenders were friendly and attentive. I would definitely go back.

This place has a special place in my heart. Specifically, I enjoy the chaos on a tuesday night that is unmatched in this part of town. Two Dollar Tuesdays start at 9 and end at 11. Well drinks, shots, and ALL beers on tap are 2 dollars. Rumor has it they have introduced 2 dollar Thursdays now too but I haven’t attended yet. Definitely a young mans game but loads of fun. Your patience will be tested on these nights. Aside from that, the happy hours are great, the daily drink specials are reasonable, and the food is various, well portioned, fair priced, and always delicious. There is also always around 20 or so beers/ciders on tap which will meet the needs of any patron. The service is great if you can act like a decent person, not be rude, and tip/thank your barkeep. They’ll remember just like you will. If you’re in to karaōke, which who isn’t, this place has a usually lively scene for that on Saturday nights. 3 pool tables and an assortment of lottery games/barcade games to occupy your time. Full sized, well places flat screen TVs line the walls making it ideal for you and your group for nearly any sports event. Can’t forget the beautiful patio outside! Tons of space. Can probably seat 40 to 50 no problem. So when the weather permits it’s a great place to plant your roots and do some drinking. *Recommend: really a come one come all kind of place.

Twilight Room or «T-Room» is a fine place to have a few drinks with friends. They have a couple pool tables and a large Jenga game. I adore the patio out back on a sunny Portland day. They offer basic bar food. I have always been satisfied with the snacks that I have ordered. Drinks are a little on the high side when not on happy hour. I would maybe frequent this bar a little more if they didn’t have karaōke.

It’s hard to give«stars» to a venue that is accomplishing exactly what it wants to be: unrelenting dive bar. The best part about the twilight room is how unironic it is, which is also a bad thing at times. Come on $ 2 Tuesday or college night on Thursdays to see the college students emerge from their dens! And always order a large Cajun tots with your AMF – it’s gonna be a long night at the TRoom

Total dive bar and proud of it. $ 2 well drinks and pints on Tuesday, so everyone from the University of Portland hits it up.

The marquee outside says, «Ping pong and Pool» so we stopped in to play ping pong and have a drink. I ask for paddles and balls and the barkeep says, «Sorry, we don’t have any ping pong balls.» WTF?! In addition, the live music(if you could call a girl screeching with a drum machine music) was so awful it hurt our ears. We downed our drinks and hi-tailed it outta there! This place is depressing.

Best Features — Multiple Crisp TV Monitors throughout bar and the Food. I’ve been here a handful of times for work lunches, not so much beer, hanging out. I joined some friends to watch a little Blazers. I waited for a friend and sat at the bar alone for like 10 minutes before being acknowledged or waited on. Not good, two people were working near me and they were not slammed busy. I didn’t flag anyone down or initiate service, I just waited. I joined friends at a table later and things were fine, but beers dry and no server in sight. It all was sorted, and the cook delivered food, a nice touch. I guess they have an executive chef, Josh-who really cares about food creations.

Let me break it down for you. T-Room and the Lion’s Eye Tavern are my two favorite divey bars in Portland. It’s these spots that I wish I could swing by everyday after work + exercise where I could just slip away into deep alcoholism. Just kidding about the alchy part. T-room has the friendliest most krumugin like bar tenders and bouncers(close to University of Portland, read lots of rich kids with cash to spring for fake IDs). The world best tater tots. The only time tater tots taste amazing is when they’re from the T. Room. The best grilled veggie grilled cheese(it comes with a mini cup of horseradish sauce!). It’s that dive bar where you find just want you wanted — comfort and guilt free iIndulgement(guilt free because you never remember what happened the next day). I didn’t even mention the amazing kareoke and draft brewski selection. I’m pretty sure professionals come here Saturday night? Can anyone vouch for that? Beer selection is fantastic. The classic Oregon line ups, always a cider, and always something seasonal. I just love this place. Disclosure: I went to University of Portland so hardcore sentiment attached to this place. I am not a spoiled rich kid because I got a scholarship. Also, do not come here on Thursdays unless you are a current student.

I was introduced to the T-Room by my Portland-native bf and his family – who by doing so have just added another regular to the pool! It’s a cozy little dive bar with solid specials, venue, and food. We love this place. I’ll keep it short and just agree with Alexandra G’s review – she’s got it spot on there. I will say that the service can be a little inconsistent based on who’s serving/tending to you and how busy the bar is, which is the only reason I gave 4 stars. Protip: If Joseph is cooking – you’re in for a treat. The man puts love in his cooking and it feels like it every time we have anything prepared by him! Everything is always presented nicely and cooked to order as we like. The pictures I’ve added to this page are all food cooked by him – yum!

Came here on a Thursday — turns out it’s college night, and there is CHEAP beer to be had. It is also extremely packed, so if you’re [ahem] a little older than college-age, either arrive earlier or pick another night. The food we had really didn’t suck — for such a teeny kitchen, I didn’t expect anything amazing. Surprising, the Pirate Wrap was HUGE — decent priced, and quite tasty. I will disagree about slow service. For a place as large as this, I saw only two bartenders trying to serve drinks to a million college kids, take food orders, AND distribute said orders. Until you’ve had to do this yourself, you may not realize it’s extremely difficult — and yes, sometimes service will be slow. Cut them some slack — what I saw was really efficient service considering there were 2 bartenders(no wait staff) trying to serve a gaggle of collegiates.
