For years I thought I’d try a martial art, as one imagines, right? But it was never taekwon-​do because that seemed too hard with all the jumping. I went for it anyway because my son wanted to and, (This is deep.) it looked really cool.
Turns out it’s hard. But the instruction, atmosphere, and students here are great – nice, smart, positive attitudes, beautiful taekwon-​do. People are so helpful and gracious they make it an easy place to be a beginner, but not as easy as it was for Keanu when he turned his head and said, «I know kung fu.» But really, what fun is that? I’d totally upload the drunken boxing, though.
I think my point was going to be that this is totally doable and fun.
After just a few months I’m calmer and stronger than I could have imagined. It’s also nice to watch my son having fun and learning resilience and persistence so early in life. And there is some intangible thing about taekwon-​do that I can’t explain. I want to say I’m just happier, but even that doesn’t quite cover it.
Anyway, it’s a trip, and you should probably try it, because if it ends up being as awesome for you, then you won’t miss out on a good bit of life.

Great school, great instructors and great students. I love the «we’re all in this together» attitude of this school. There are more options for classes here than in other schools I’ve checked out: morning class, kid’s class, evening adult class and weekend classes.

My two children and I have attended Traditional Taekwon-​do for over 4 years, they having attained their first degree black belts and me stuck at 1st degree purple because get easily distracted by work, life, and marathon training. Mr. Johnson, the lead instructor is always very flexible, creates a great space for families, and works to adjust class to everyone’s needs. This has been a wonderful experience for our family and has helped our children with confidence, discipline, and self control.

I have gone to this gym for nearly 3 years with my son. For me it has been a great experience to work toward competency in a martial art. I have gained friends, strength, flexibility, and stamina. The instructors hold a high standard and give you constructive feedback in achieving the standard,. It has helped my son develop some self control and courtesy he was lacking before

Great instructors. Good mix of discipline and humor in the class. I don’t have experience with any other Taekwondo classes, so im glad we decided on this location. Would recommend to others who are intersted in starting themselves or their kids in Taekwondo.
