The first time I met Teddy, he asked how I found the house and I said «RedFin.» He replied, «What’s RedFin?» It went on like that throughout the whole deal. Teddy failed to open emails, couldn’t get my email address straight, pressured me to sign an agreement so he could represent me and the seller, and generally treated me like I was insulting him by trying to buy a very expensive home. Teddy routinely only replied by phone and failed to produce documents to prove that he presented offers and counters to sellers. He did not meet deadlines. He did not return phone calls. I believe the deal fell through because Teddy simply couldn’t fathom how RedFin’s credit back to me was money the sellers had to pay ANYWAY. He was insulted because I wanted a 20+ year old sofa and other personal items out of the house before possession. He didn’t list the house as pending for more than 48 hours after he was obligated to do so. After being in escrow for three weeks, the deal fell apart. This would have been the fifth house I’ve bought /​sold so I’m not a novice. Long story short, he’s a used Pinto salesman in a Mercedes showroom. Do not work with this person.
