I did not to go the NE location; this review is for the NW Lovejoy business. Michelle at The Sight Shop was very helpful and friendly. I brought in frames that needed prescription lenses and I was looking for a specific type of lens. I was happy the Sight Shop’s preferred lab worked with Zeiss lenses, as this is what I was looking for. I was told 10 days to wait for my glasses to come back from the lab, and I received them on the 9th business day. I was impressed with how quickly I received my glasses as I went to a different eye store for prescription lenses and was: 1. overcharged even with insurance($ 150 for«Zeiss lenses» and I don’t actually believe they were Zeiss but some other brand; The Sight Shop charged me around $ 100(with insurance) for their lenses and they were digital, so the other place ripped me off for poor quality lenses and possibly insurance fraud). 2. it took over 2 weeks to get my glasses at the other store when they quoted me 10 days. I was very unhappy I conducted business with the previous optical shop. I was very satisfied with Michelle’s warm demeanor, helpfulness, and cheerful attitude. I will continue to conduct business with this optical shop as I had a very pleasant experience.

I have been going to the sight shop for years. I have recommend them to any one that would listen to me. Everything about them was excellent, until now. Unfortunately after a series of mishaps and having the ball dropped consecutively, I am shopping around for another place to get my glasses. After 5 weeks, or slightly more, and driving 80, I still did not have glasses. It’s a great place to go, don’t get me wrong, but this time I just had a bad experience. Unfortunately I will not be returning to them.

Five stars for having what I wanted and great service. After a long and exhaustive search looking for frames, I finally found what I was looking for at The Sight Shop located on the 4th floor of the Providence Professional Plaza over on Glisan. Apparently it’s really hard to find a good pair of scenester/hipster frames from a place that accepts VSP. Speaking of which, they do accept VSP, awesome plan if you got it. Although, it was a long two weeks of waiting for the completed product, but it was entirely worth it after waiting 2 years for the new plan to kick in. You don’t even have to do an eye exam at their optometrist office, Oregon Eye Specialists, just bring in a prescription and you’re good to go. Shannon, the specialist, was peppy as hell. Probably really hard to be so after sitting inside a small room for so many hours a day. And she was stroking my ego a bit while helping me choose the frames, but I like a good stroke.
